I called Up and Down Garage Doors at 4:59pm on a Friday fully expecting to get pushed to Monday or maybe pay some kind of emergency fee. Instead Brad, the owner, picked up and came out right away. My garage door spring had snapped and the door was so heavy it wouldnt budge. I was completely stuck. Brad could have easily taken advantage of the situation or delayed the service or charged a premium knowing I was desperate but he did none of that. He showed up quickly was professional, was honest, and got everything fixed the same evening. I had a great experience with up and down! I had an old set up that came with my house when I bought it, super loud and inefficient. After about 30 minutes, Brad, installed a new motor, and adjusted the rails making it run whisper quiet. Now instead of a cheap and inefficient door opener, I've got a new opener, with WiFi and battery backup. Or technician was incredibly polite and professional. Our original garage door was unable to open, and we had been unable to park our cars in the garage for quite awhile. We called Up & Down Garage Doors, and they were able to come out the same day for an estimate. They were very helpful in pointing out we needed to relocate some pipes to accommodate the garage mechanism, and called a friend in to assist on that portion. They said as soon as we were able to move the pipes, we could move ahead with the garage. It was great, as their friend fixed the problem in less than a couple hours, and we were scheduled to get the doors in at the end of the week. The actual installation of the doors went by so quickly it was impressive. The installer Aaron tore down the old door, installed the mechanism and had everything running by 12 Noon. Great Service, Fast response. My garage door was not opening consistently. Sometimes it would go up a few inches and stop. Other days would work fine. Called at 8:00 am spoke to Tori and she set up to have a tech at my house the same morning. She explained their service fees and ideas of possible costs which were very reasonable. Tori was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak to. Seth, the technician, called and gave me a 20 minutes heads up for his arrival. He diagnosed the problem as weak springs that needed to be replaced to assist the motor opening the door. The springs were over 20 years old so not surprising. In addition Seth inspected the entire system, made some other repairs and tuned up everything. He was done in about an 90 minutes and everything works great! Up Down came out next day. Quoted a decent price. They were able to install the door using existing new opener the next next day. New seals, re hanging the opener, new springs and tracks. When installing the door they found two of the four panels had very minor imperfections. Two hours later they had swapped them out for new good panels and were completely done. read more
