Great vibes at the outdoor seating/patio area. The pork belly burnt ends were delicious and the spicy barbecue sauce was delicious as well. They were definitely busy, which is always a good sign, but they were cranking out the orders pretty quick. Next time I will go for the loaded fries and brisket. The slaw, bbq sauce put it over the top. Corn bread with cinnamon butter was great. Collard greens were a bit bland. Service was great. Plenty of seating outside in common areas. This is hands down the best BBQ Truck in the UP! They cooked my Thanksgiving dinner and it was delicious! Perfect for a single guy, I had the Pièce de résistance, three generous slices of the famous smoked brisket with sauce on the side, candied yams, and to top it off fresh out of the oven Georgia Peach Cobbler! Don't walk- RUN to UP-in-smoke. My partner and I were offered 10% off our meal for presenting a receipt from another Ironwood business. We had rode passed it earlier in the day and thought "what the hell?" It's easily, the best smokehouse barbecue I've had in years. The rub? We were amazed that the proprietors were able to infuse such amazing flavor into our baby back's and pulled pork. Something about the rub and the maintenance in the smoking process that make the meat not only crazy flavorful but also totally unique. Hickory? Yes, but that's not all. Love? Care? Pride? Hard to determine, but you're gonna be treated to some high quality smokeage. The house sauce is unique and delicious and complements the meat perfectly. What is BBQ without the sides? I copped the mac and cheese (southern in flavor and presentation) and badass collared greens. Get the cornbread with whipped honey butter. The menu offerings were extensive and the gal taking our order was quick to offer recommendations. We ordered a three meat platter, ribs, brisket and pulled pork. It was all very good! The coleslaw and beans were also excellent!
