All of the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly! We had the banana pudding, catfish combo and pork wings. Definitely recommend!

I love food trucks and this place is the BEST EXAMPLE!!! Family owned cooking family recipes! This southern couple has made a home here in Ironwood and their food is top notch! The menu options will satisfy anyone looking for a meal! I ordered the sampler and it was a HUGE portion! I've eaten Collard Greens all over the country and THESE ARE THE BEST! Baby Back Ribs were meaty and delicious and the brisket was moist and flavorful. There isn't one thing I would change about this meal! If you're anywhere near this area, you ABSOLUTELY NEED TO STOP HERE, you definitely won't be disappointed!!

The pork spare ribs really hit the spot this Mother's Day! Keep up the good work! Summer is in the air and we are so pleased you are back in action.

Food was good, but waiting over 1.5 hours from the time we stood in a short line to when we received or food is unacceptable.

My husband did the whitefish Cajun style. I did the whitefish broiled with light salt (hello, DASH diet). My son had the mac n cheese. We were all delighted with a delicious and healthy meal. We came specifically for the Friday night Fish Fry, which comes with one side, and they were out of two of them (our first and second choices, unfortunately). I ended up ordering Beer Battered Fish with Rice Pilaf, and the other two at the table ordered Deep Fried Fish with Waffle Fries. It was 8:17 before our order came out - a full 45 minutes after we arrived. The Rice Pilaf was barely warm and flavorless. I only ate one bite of it (1/10) but the fish was excellent (9/10). The fish portion was large - I could only eat half, and took the other half of the fish to go. I left the rice. I asked about dessert to go, and neither of the cheesecakes on the menu were available, but the server said they had some chocolate peanut butter cheesecake, which wasn't listed anywhere. I got that and had a few bites before putting it in the fridge - it was ok, but nothing special (5/10). I'm not sure I'll even finish it, and that's saying something because cheesecake is my favorite dessert. Ambiance was dark and kind of dingy. Things needed to be dusted and wiped down. It felt like there was a sticky layer of grease on them (chairs, columns, table edges, etc.). Would probably go back and give them another shot, but would likely try a weekday when it's not so busy and all menu items are available. Overall 6/10

It was a nice touch to have a musician on the outdoor patio. Nice selection of sauces and a menu with many options. The ribs were tender and not dried out. They didn't separate from the bone however. They were not fatty. Chicken was a bit under done and under smoked Brisket fell short (sliced) as it was tough and dry. I can see why one would want it chopped because it was difficult to cut with plastic tableware. The vibe of the place was a teenage hangout place. Many large groups of teens coming in and hanging out outside seating areas and also filling up the small inside dining area. Beer selection left much to be desired. There were brewery signs decorating the inside yet those breweries and beers were not available.

We only make it to the restaurant once a year, but Penny, the manager of the front of house, is incredibly friendly and warm, and the same can be said for the entire wait staff. If you are in a rush or do not enjoy taking your time or truly do not enjoy people you are dining with, then this may not be the place for you. This is a place to slow down and truly enjoy the experience. No matter where you sit, you are treated to a spectacular view of the waterfront with boats passing by and the occasional glimpse of Northwoods wildlife. On our visit we were even lucky enough to see an eagle perch up in a tree nearby, which made the evening even more memorable. The food is fantastic. I had the blackened prime rib and my wife had the Cancun seasoned walleye. I absolutely love Cajun blackened dishes, and this was some of the most delicious I have ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. If you don't know what to order they have a great sampler! There are two musts when you go: order an Old Fashioned and make sure to try one. We are not from Wisconsin, but ordering one is part of the fun with all the different options available. And finally, you cannot leave without the tableside bananas fosters. Hands down, it is my favorite dessert I have ever had at any restaurant. Penny prepares it with an entertaining flair, even sharing the story of its origin, which makes the experience even better. I cannot get enough of this hidden gem in the Northwoods. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Cajun flavors and to those who appreciate a dining experience meant to be savored with your spouse or family. We will return every year without fail.

But, I owe it to the chef and his wife, the front of the restaurant manager, to do so. The food is very, very good, excellent! The chef is very talented and melds flavors together with seemingly some kind of magic wand! When you drive up and enter, the facade and the interior is typical of classic old school Northwoods bar/restaurant, . Then the soft lighting, . The one man band, pretty darn good by the way, . The well made drinks, . Ice water automatically brought to the table . Then the food... and ohh yesss! a small loaf of warm bread and a bread knife brought to the table as part of their service . The already perfectly softened butter packets set out at the table, and yes, that is worthy of a check! Then the food! We have eaten here a few times only because it used to be far from us, but now we live closer, YES! . This day, I chose the Lobster Bisque, thick, creamy and so full of flavor, how the chef got so much flavor into that soup and perfectly balanced was incredible! Best lobster bisque outside of Maine I've ever had and right up there with the one I had in Maine . For the entree I chose the Mediterranean dish with Cod fish. It's a fish dish in a sauce that not only perfectly complemented the cod but, the explosion of flavors with absolute balance was joyful! So often, I find some chefs try to improve flavor with salt, which of course is important but, is so often over the top because they can't or don't bring out the flavors naturally. I can taste the fact that this chef spends all the necessary time and work to bring out these flavors naturally by a slow and traditional process that can't be rushed, thank you Chef! My husband had the same dish but with the salmon which was also very good but to be honest, I preferred mine after trying his, but, probably just because I prefer cod over salmon. I took the last of the warm bread and soaked up the bread with that luscious, flavor-filled sauce, a perfect end to a very special treat in the north woods!! The chef stepped out briefly that evening and I got his attention and thanked him for an incredible meal and told him the bisque was as good as what we experienced in Maine and he shared that he is from New England originally. Well, now that makes sense! Thank you to the chef, restaurant manager and staff for providing us with a really special meal! Of course we'll be back!!
