Jill did my entire bridal party (including myself and my mother and mother in law) for my wedding. She did a phenomenal job. I didn't need everyone to have the same hairstyle, so she accommodated my bridesmaids and family members' varying preferences. One of my friends has hair down to her waist, and she did an incredible job styling it- just as incredible as the style that she gave to my friend with chin length hair. Since the first time Jill did my hair years and years ago, I knew I wanted her to do my hair for my wedding. The second I got engaged, after my mother, Jill was my next call to make sure she was free the next year. She always booked, so I was lucky enough to snag her for my big day! That morning was a marathon. Not only did Jill do mine and my bridesmaid's hair (3) she did my mom too! She works so fast I was transformed before I knew it! And my hair did not quit. I had perfect hair for my goodbye brunch the next morning too! Jill really went above and beyond during my hair trial as well. We went through a few different styles until we found the one that looked like me. She was so patient and wanted it to be right just as much as I did. Hair really was the easiest part of the whole wedding process!! While she doesn't usually have time when doing so many hair styles, Jill also did my makeup complete with lashes, and my mom's (also with lashes)! Jill Kozar is an unbelievable stylist! Not only have I been going to her for color for about 8 years now, she was the ONLY one I would consider to style me for my wedding day! She is creative, a delight to be around and really makes you fee like a bride. Being the professional that she is, she is always prepared, on time and very organized. I couldn't possibly say enough amazing things about Jill! She came highly recommended to me by my make-up artists and I am so glad that I was pointed in her direction! To start - Jill is so sweet, personable, easy to talk to, passionate, and most importantly, so incredibly talented! I showed up to my trial with a bunch of pictures of all different styles that I liked, but I wasn't exactly sure what direction I wanted to go in! Jill asked to see them, then my dress, and immediately started working on my hair! She quickly understood my vision for my wedding look, combined all of my ideas, and created something I was head over heels in love with. She made the entire process extremely easy and stress free for me, which as a bride was very important. The day of my wedding, Jill showed up on time (if not ahead of time) & completed 7 of my bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and my hair in a timely manner. I should mention that Jill was only originally supposed to do 1 mother but when my Mother-in-law decided at the last minute she needed a little help, Jill came to the rescue and had absolutely no problem adding another person to the list. Everyone looked absolutely gorgeous and each and every one of my girls was 110% happy with their hair! Jill is so versatile and did a fantastic job with all of my bridesmaids, who I should mention had varying lengths of hair from super long to short choppy bobs! She nailed every single style! In addition to all that, Jill stayed past the time she was supposed to to help my girls put floral crowns in - she really just went above and beyond! Jill was great!!!!! The hair trial went great. She took pictures and listened to what I wanted for my wedding day hair. She was professional and followed up with me a couple days before the wedding. The day of the wedding we discussed and looked a pictures of my hair for any tweaks and made me feel beautiful! I loved my hair and that it lasted the entire day!!!! Did not produce the hairstyle that was promised and photographed and repeatedly discussed from the hair trials for the wedding day. Extremely disappointed. By the time of the wedding ceremony the hair looked terrible..... After all the time, money and effort to chose the stylist, she did not perform as she should have. She did not use the same products and equipment that she used for the trial , nor did she spend the time. read more

Jill and her colleague did my hair, along with all of my bridesmaids', mother's, and grandmother's hair for my wedding earlier this month. We were all incredibly thrilled with the results! She did a fantastic job and was very good at listening to what everyone wanted and efficiently executing each hairstyle. I hired Up Your Do to handle the hairstyling needs of my wedding party and the hairstyling for myself and my daughters the night of the rehearsal dinner. I had a very positive experience with Jill (owner) and really loved the work she did on both days. On rehearsal day, we went to her shop (Starlit Salon) and I was lucky enough to have Jill style my hair. I absolutely LOVED it. I have very fine/straight hair that does not hold a style easily yet Jill managed to get my hair styled in a way that held all night. I got a TON of compliments on the style that evening - including from my hairstylist whom I have used for 25+ years!!! My daughters' styles were equally as lovely - relaxed yet done enough to look like they were ready for a special occasion. On the actual wedding day, Jill did one bridesmaid and handled three groomsmen, which included three unplanned trims/cuts. The bridesmaid's style was simply stunning and despite several hours of extreme dancing, it held all evening. The guys faired equally - great styles that fit their faces and hair types. I must disclose that I did not use Jill to do my hair on the wedding day, but that was NOT from lack of confidence in her skills. It is clear she knows her craft and knows what tools/products to use depending upon hair type. Simply, my long-time hairstylist is a friend and was there as a guest of the wedding in addition to styling my hair. Ironically, Jill did my friend/hairstylists hair for the wedding and she raved all evening about how much she loved what Jill did. NOW that is a compliment!!! I wished I lived closer to Jill as I would seriously consider using her regularly for my styling needs. I am so happy we were recommended to use Jill for my wedding day! Jill was very professional, calm, personable, and all around great to work with and fun to be around during the morning of my wedding. Jill did a truly amazing job on my wedding day hair and I cannot recommend her enough! I have long, straight hair that has always had trouble holding a curl, yet Jill was able to make full, natural looking curls that lasted all day. It even stayed curly throughout our next day flight to Europe for our honeymoon! I went to the trial with only a few pictures to show her, but she was easily able to take my description and translate it into exactly what I wanted. My hair looked soft, beautiful and shiny in all of the pictures and did not feel sticky or weighed down from too much product (which has definitely been the case when people have tried to curl my hair in the past!) She also did the hair for the rest of my bridal party. My mother got an updo, and as someone who usually gets updos for formal events, she felt Jill's was one of the best! All of my bridesmaids also looked beautiful- I left it up to them to decide how they wanted it and I know Jill helped each girl to find the perfect style. Jill was calm, cool and collected throughout the entire morning and brought a very relaxed presence to the bridal suite. When a few of my bridesmaids decided at the last minute that they did in fact want to have their hair done, Jill had no problem putting them into the schedule. She was actually ahead of schedule the entire morning! Lastly, Jill had the foresight to remove some of the teeth from the clip to my veil so that it would lay flat the way I wanted. This was truly a lifesaver! She also took the time before leaving to give one of my bridesmaids a tutorial for how to place it in my hair since I wanted to take some pictures with it and some without.
