When I go into the City to park, I like to support the Adelaide City Council UParks. I feel like the money that I spend at them at least goes into the fund (in some way) to put back into the Council Region.
But this is my least favourite of their carparks and it is so annoying as it is in a great position. I park in it often, but I always semi-regret it. It is just an awkwardly designed carpark. There are lots of supporting structures to avoid and the directions are confusing. Especially for the first time going into this car park. It is confusing which way you need to go to get up and down and exit. There are arrows going everywhere... I just don't know what they were thinking apart from "let's create a maze of confusion to test the tolerance of Adelaideians".
The carparks are a real tight squeeze, so be prepared to spend a little time adjusting to avoid your neighbours car hitting your car doors. Not to mention having to navigate concrete pillar supports. I see a lot of car paint on them which is saying a lot.
The lift to go down levels into Topham Mall is also a little dodgy. I think it is just old and needs an upgrade. I usually just take the stairs and count it as exercise.
Apart from that, the only reason I constantly park here is location. It is very central in CBD. So, I will put up with all of above as it makes my life easier getting around town. Also it has good after hour rates and early bird specials. As rates change, I will refer you to check on their website. read more
