Great local beverage shop. They have a nice selection of beers and wine, cider, hard lemonade, lime-a-ritas, etc. No hard liquor. They have a big walk in refrigerated section, so you can take home a chilled selection. The people that work here are friendly and helpful and in the warmer months, they sometimes have "tastings" and a few patio tables outside. read more

Friendly neighborhood store walking distance from my house! The people that work there (owners maybe?) always greet you with a smile & offer to help right away. Good selection of wine for such a small store....prices competitive but it's the location that sucks me in! read more

This store is open later than others and has a decent selection. However they are way more expensive compared to others that are a mile or so down the road. Although they are close to us and I would like to give them our business I can't always pay $5 more for a bottle of wine. Hopefully they will lower their prices and realize they aren't the only local beer/wine store. read more

I am a long term customer of this store, and today was treated with the utmost disrespect by the owner. She basically accused me of lying when I tried to return some wine that had gone bad (I had just bought it two days ago, opened it and had one sip). She accused me of buying it at another store and trying to return it to hers. I had the receipt to prove it, but she said she did not want to look at it. When I mentioned that I am a regular customer who spends a lot in her store, she said,"I have a lot of good customers who spend a lot here." I guess my $ is no good there? I really love coming to this place. The staff really know their stuff and considering we come in about once a week we are definitely regulars at this point. They have a tremendous selection of wine and always seem to have a new craft beer in stock. Plus, they've ordered cases of beer for us when we've asked. My husband loves trying new beers, so it's nice that his selection is so varied at Upcounty. It's also nice to support a local business, so we will continue to do so. read more

I've been here a few times and each time have left happy and without disappointment of my selection. The people here have always been nice and they really know their stuff. The older gentleman goes out of his way to find the best match for you, pointing out a handful of choices (based solely on your description of preferences and dislikes, and not just the price tag). The service is it's biggest draw. Always friendly, always carding me (which I like because I do look young and there are a lot of teens in the neighborhood). They have a decent variety of beers, enough for quasi-beer snobs to be pleased (craft breweries are assorted, with the essential domestics too), but probably not enough for beer connoisseurs. #1 in service in the area. A thrilling surprise in this regard, and something that needs to be pointed out and rewarded since it is sorely missing from other local area businesses. The younger gentleman working during the day was very helpful (albeit my request was moderately narrow- a good dry red for someone on a budget). I am not a huge drinker, but for someone who enjoys craft IPAs and the occasional range of red wines, up county has a decent selection. My experience with Up County was overall a pleasant one, I do recommend Up County, and I WILL be back. read more

This is our go-to local store for wine. Staff is SUPER friendly, knowledgeable, & through their assistance I have found my all time favorite wine. They have immense selection for such small location but they make use of every sq foot in that store to ensure they have what you want in stock. Highly recommend! read more

I bought a bottle of wine from here that had gone bad. I've had the wine before, it was a Yellowtail Chardonnay, had it plenty of times before and no problem. This one I had one sip and knew there was something wrong with it. It was mildly fizzy and tasted fermented. When I tried to exchange the bottle (not even requesting a refund, but only an exchange) the manager refused. Eventually, she said she'd call the retailer and it would be a couple weeks before I could get an answer. It's been a month and I never heard from her again. I'm sure she just said it to get me out of her hair. I understand no returns/exchanges policy if it was just that I didn't like the taste, but the bottle was bad. There was something wrong with it and it was not drinkable. So I'm out $17 with no wine. Very poor customer service in my opinion and I won't be shopping there again. read more
