He had to completely rewire our entire circuit breaker panel, to install a whole home surge protector and to replace one of our GFI outlets that blew. He got right to work and had to order a new panel to be delivered from Des Moines to Iowa City. Frank rushed here and got right to work helping Jeremy finish the job. We were so impressed with their knowledge, hard work, kindness and support during a very difficult time. We will be calling them for future needs. I requested a diagnostic for a non-working outlet. He looked at it for about five seconds, tapped on his iPad, and handed me an estimate--for $630. He didn't check the breaker box, inspect the wiring, or go into the basement--nothing that even remotely resembled a proper diagnostic. When I expressed that the quote was outrageous and said I'd pay the $69 service fee for the visit, he replied, "I'll just mark it as a no-show so you don't get charged." That immediately raised red flags. I called the company afterward to explain what happened and reported that the technician did not perform a diagnostic at all--just gave an inflated estimate. I again offered to pay the service fee, even though the visit was a complete waste of time. They responded with indifference and told me "OK." Then, hours later, I receive a bill via email--despite the technician explicitly stating I wouldn't be charged and refusing to take my payment at the time of service. This was an incredibly shady experience. I would strongly caution anyone from using this company.
