I had a really good experience with a one full supply so I was assigned at a different contractor through my insurance and they gorgeous awful from the job and I called to get reassigned and they reassigned me to upload full supply and write off the bat they reached out scheduled the first appointment I asked for somebody specific Joel who was 10 out of 10. Amazing he already has good reviews so that's why I asked for him and it was a great appointment. He was super knowledgeable. My husband really liked him and then Jonathan came out and completed the service. He was also very very sweet super helpful. I got a working pool heater now my son wanted to have a little barbecue party coming up so we're excited to have that working again so thank you to Upland pool supply. Beware of this company. They do not honor their work or warranty on services. I would never use them again, even though my homeowners' insurance uses them. I have filed a complaint with the insurance company. I have called numerous times for a resolution, and they do not answer their phones. It always goes to voicemail. They don't return phone calls. If I could give a -100 stars I would. They are a vendor for American Home Shield. I year ago my Hayward pump failed so I called AHS. They sent this vendor. UP came and also AHS sent an electrician to verify electricity. UP was told that the pump should be 208 volts as this area of Palm Springs is set up that way. Even after being told that the pump should be a 208 volt pump, UP installed a 230 volt pump. In addition to that the pump was not an equivalent to my Hayward pump. They installed a "cheap" Varminpool pump that if you ask any pool company they will tell you they have never heard of it. In addition to installing the wrong voltage pump, the technician from UP installed the electrical using a 14gauge stranded appliance cable in which he cut ff the plug in order to use it. Of course it should have been a 12gauge solid strand individual wires. So here I am again a year later and the pump has failed and AHS wants to send this same company to repair my pump. Not going to happen!!! Don't use UP or AHS. read more

Came out through a home warranty claim. After inspection, it took 5-6 days to get the diagnosis submitted to the warranty company. They had no sense of urgency. Not sure what was put in the diagnosis report, as we never got a copy. Whatever they put in there got the warranty denied. Interesting part is that 6 years ago, the EXACT, 2 Pool components ( filter grids and a leaky pump) were repaired when i went through American Home Shield. They sent me to a different contractor that didn't even blink and eye and had everything replaced and fixed within 3 days of diagnosing. I found Upland Pool Supply through my home warranty. I had a leak at my air release value for my pump which was fixed within a week after I filed my home warranty claim. They did a good job and my pump wasn't leaking anymore. Another leak happened a month later at the pump pipe. They were quick to come back to check it out and said the pipe was done all wrong and so they helped me file another claim through my home warranty which was approved in a few days. They came right back when the claim was approved. I was very happy with the speed, professionalism, and their response time was good too. You even will get a notification when your pool technician is on the way. It was easy to get ahold of them through text and someone will get back to you even during the weekends. I didn't offer a 5 star bc i felt the prices they charge was unreasonable. They were trying to charge $145 part and labor to replace an electrical outlet cover. They said the part alone was $65. But when i checked on amazon, it was only $5 for the part and i just replaced it myself within a few mins. Good thing I'm handy and check the prices before I agree to an outrageous quote. I would continue using them for a home warranty. But just not sure if I will if I have to pay out of pocket. read more

The technician closed the claim by saying he fixed the leak on the pump and resealed certain areas. Initially my appointment was scheduled on the date that didn't work for me, however, upon asking the contractor, they managed to send a technician the next day. The technician arrived on time. I was sent to Upland Pool Supply by American Home Shield as 2nd opinion. The 1st company, Flawless Pool Supply, tried to pass the buck to me by telling AHS that I tried to fix the pool motor and denied the claim. Upland Pool Supply, as per the person, who answered the phone, has only 1 person answering the phone. You can call them almost all day long but no will answer the phone because that one person is handling all calls. I guess the good things is that after delay of 2 weeks their tech showed up and approved the repair. However, they wanted to charge me another $1125 for the motor which is available for around $650. This after getting $275 from AHS for repair. In the end, I decided to change the entire pump. Upland Pool Supply quoted me $700 more that another company I found on google. I thought they were supposed to give us warranty company discount but guess not. The most annoying thing about this company is not able to get hold of a human being in a timely manner. read more

Worst company I have ever worked with. I filed a claim through my home warranty for a pool pump leak. They took forever to come out-- they submitted the issue to home warranty and then came out another time to repair the pool pump leak. The pool pump was still leaking. They refused to come back even when my home warranty company called and told them they need to fix the issue. The technician during the appointment even said that he saw it was still leaking and just didnt have the tools to fix it. They wouldn't answer my calls or texts. They had terrible attitude towards me when I did communicate with them via text (it was rare for them to respond). I do repairs for property's throughout California for my job and never worked with worse customer service. Stay away from this company. OMG, this business was terrible to try and work with. You could only speak to them via text unless they called you. A month out my pump was still not fixed. I called the warranty company and they pulled back the repair ticket and had me choose where to get the repair done. DO NOT EVER USE UPLAND POOL or American Home Shield warranty company. Upland pool is an unprofessional business and does not answer the phone and it is next to impossible to leave a message. They do not reply to emails. They do not reply to texts unless they have sent one to you. They come up with excuse after excuse (when they finally communicate with you after weeks of persistent calling and texting) of why they have not completed the work. The two technicians that finally came to the house in a three week interval, both said the salt cell was defective and one stated he originally worked for Jandy, the pool manufacturer that made the product but the 'dispatcher' keeps coming up with excuses as to why it has not been completed; like the cell needs to be cleaned ( it was cleaned two weeks prior by my pool service man) and the salt level is low which was checked by both my pool man and uplands technician and both said it was adequate This all started June 10th and now it is July 18th and I still have a defective salt cell after approximately 25 attempts to get it rectified and no chlorine added to the pool because of the defective. Telleveryone you know to use any other pool company but upland pool to save themselves the misery that my family had endured. read more

Update still would give upland pool negative stars. After home warranty re-assigned pool companies. Upland submitted a report saying my pool equipment was full of animal droppings and nests. My opinion they saw my yelp review and decided to take it out on me. 2nd pool company already diagnosed my issue and replaced my heater with no signs of animals, droppings or nests. I put in a service request with AHS to have my pool actuator replaced. Yesterday I found out AHS will not cover replacement of the defective item. I have now called them 6 times, left 3 messages over the last 2 days and still no reply or call back. My American Home Shield claim was denied because the tech said the leaks were due to chemicals being reason to the abnormal wear and tear. the tech NEVER tested my pool water so how can he determine that! I was assigned Upland pool supply from my home warranty Fidelity. My pool pipes were starting to leak really bad. They made the repair only causing damage to my multiport valve housing to my DE filter. They crack the housing by installing new pipe. I tried to call upland pool supply back but they never answer the phone and her voicemail was full. They said the best way to get a hold of them is by texting the number I dialed. I text him three times and zero response. I then had to call home warranty and get them involved. Home warranty was finally able to get a hold of them and the technician came out again. The technician admitted that the housing was cracked on the multi port filter valve. Three weeks went by and I haven't heard anything back so I call my home warranty. Home warranty then said they're still waiting for the report from Upland pool supply three weeks later. Home warranty had to try to get a hold of Upland pool supply again because every time I call, I can never get a hold of someone or if I text them I never get a response back. Home warranty was able to get a hold of them again and the technician was assigned. You will get a text from a person Karla! Don't ever text her with anything different than accepting your appointment because she will not text you back. Karla is only there to text you the date and time the technician will be out to your house. I had an issue and I text Karla with zero response back about why the service report has not been sent 3 weeks later. Well the technician came out to my house and they finally fix the leak by replacing my multi port valve they cracked with the cheapest pull handle valve on the market. WTH. Now I have to redo what upland pool supply fixed. I'm just going to cut this crappy valve off and buy the multi port valve myself and install it. This company is a waste of time. Zero communication, they never answer the phone, they tell you to text them for a quicker response in their voicemail but they never text you back. The technician came to my house, inspected the heater and said it was in good condition but that the igniter needed replacement. He said he would let the warranty company know and it should be covered. Whatever he reported to the warranty company ended up being denied. The technician disconnected my heater completely while he was here and I dont know how to re connect it. I have left at least 4 voicemails and several text messages for this company - it has been weeks and not a single response. Upland Pool Supply was sent by First American Home Warranty (FAHW) to check "Not filtering well. Salt cell not functioning." Upland gave an estimate to replace a "Display Board" as part of our "Zone Control System" and told us our Salt Cell was fine. We do not have a Zone Control System - something that is specifically not covered by FAHW. Our request was declined and our only option was to get Upland Pool to clarify their estimate to what we thought was the Salt Cell circuit board (which IS covered by FAHW). They refused to check our filters because FAHW had only authorized them to check the Salt Cell system. Upland Pool ignored all of our calls and multiple text messages. After service from Golden West Pool, the Circuit Board, Cell, and Filters need to be replaced. Many reviewers on Yelp cite Upland Pool and Unified Contractors as a scam to collect a quick buck from service calls with a consistent history of submitting estimates to warranty companies they know will be declined. Warranty companies that are aware of this complaint and continue to do business with Upland are participants in this scam. read more

Here's my experience with Upland Pools. This vendor was assigned by American Home Shield (they also get 1-Star) to identify a problem with the water level dropping in my spa. Vist #1 they replaced a check valve and reconfigured the plumbing lines; Visit #2 they said it was an underground leak; Visit #3 they said the problem was in the plumbing design. I think there may also have been another visit by them. Finally the home warranty sent another tech for a 2nd opinion. Apparently the issue was with a bad "flap" in a part Upland had apparently replaced earlier. Stay away from this company as well as AHS, whose business model is to deny claims whenever possible. read more
