In today's world of automatic and electronic "prompts" you seldom get a real person, let alone "customer service" of any kind. Step into the Uplift store and be reminded what customer service is supposed to look like. I walked in without an appointment. Appointments are recommended but not required. There was a customer ahead of me, but the wait time was less than 15 minutes. Carla, the owner, showed me to a fitting room where she provided a complimentary fitting/sizing and then began showing me bras in my size. I have picky taste; no fru-fru, no flowers and no wild designs, but still feminine. Carla took my tastes and began bringing out bras not only my size, but also my taste. She also offers panties and other intimate items, as well as men's swim suits and shirts so your significant other has things to look at while they wait. In less than an hour, I departed with 2 amazing bras at very reasonable prices. To my surprise and delight a week later a thank you arrived at my house. I've tried Thirdlove. I've tried True & Co. I've tried department stores, VS and Savage by Fenty. I've been trying to find a bra that fits comfortably for my entire life. I've done online size calculators. I've been professionally fitted before, but when my friend recommended this place, I knew I was making an appointment ASAP. I felt instantly comfortable with Carla--even though I usually feel pretty timid around new people, I didn't mind having her help me try on bras and showing her the results. She is truly magic! She just whipped out her measuring tape, took one measurement, and magically appeared with literally the most perfect bras I've ever seen or worn. The fitting room was comfortable and the experience felt like having your completely judgment-free, unbiased favorite aunt help you get your first bra, except like--your aunt knows about bras. My bra size is DRAMATICALLY different from the bras I was wearing before and I will not be going back to those wrong-sized days! The boutique is pretty, and there are definitely some very beautiful, higher end, more pricey items--and I'm going back to splurge later. Best bra store ever! Customer service was above and beyond. Carla's expertise was amazing. I went in being skeptical that I would find a bra and actually bought two. Carla said trust me and I did. I tried on several that didn't work but that led us to learn more about what I was looking for. It was pouring down rain when I left and she let me use her umbrella to walk to my car and she even came out to the car to retrieve her umbrella in the rain. Can't say enough good things. I scheduled an appointment online which I recommend so you know you'll get one-on-one attention. Carla has a beautiful storefront displaying lingerie, bras, men's and women's underwear and more. But she has so much more stored back in her inventory, which is why you should schedule a consult. Carla made me feel so comfortable during the fitting process and taught me how a bra should fit. Then she became the Mary Poppins of bras, bringing all different styles and colors to see what I liked. She takes note of every single bra you try on so she can track your likes and dislikes. If you like a bra, she wants to know why so she can tailor suggestions. But if you don't like a bra and you're just not sure why, that's okay too - no judgment. I ended up with a simple nude bra and a sports bra, both of which fit me so much better! You can donate your gently used bras and well-loved bras to Uplift; she will take the salvageable ones to local women's shelters and the well-loved ones are donated to a company that makes red carpets. My wife had scheduled a fitting for new intimate ware after recently losing 25 pounds. The foundations she had at home just didn't fit. She had tried finding something on her own and decided that wasn't working, so she turned to the business that specializes in getting the measurements and fit matched to the body type. She also wanted something that would look attractive instead of something boring or plain. Although they do take walk ins, the staff advises customers to schedule ahead of time so that you can have their undivided attention in finding something that will make you happy. Having gone through a fitting before, it amazed my wife how poorly a woman can know her own requirements for a proper fit. So, she knew that getting an appointment would solve her dilemma...and it did. My wife found several items that she was very pleased with in both fit and style. This review is a little awkward to write but I feel compelled to share my experience at Uplift Intimate Apparel for all the guys out there. For my mother's 60th birthday (August 2020) we had planned a large surprise party with family and friends flying in from all over the country but COVID-19 upstaged us with a surprise of its' own. So instead of a lavish party, we were left with a modest little vigil and I was left scrambling for a suitable gift to say, "I'm sorry that COVID-19 ruined your 60th birthday and that you have not been able to see your extended family or friends for months but hey, remain positive for a healthy mental state as we get through this together." Long story short, I decided to find an organic way to boost her self-esteem, confidence, and body image which lead me to talk with the owner of Uplift - Carla. I explained my dilemma and asked for her assistance and we made an appointment for mother to come in for a bra fitting and to obtain shapewear. I will point out that while my mother is the absolute nicest woman in the world she is not a size 4 or 6 (any more detail and I will not be welcomed home for Christmas) and self-confidence seems to reign more freely with her kids than herself. Therefore, walking into Uplift or making an appointment for a bra fitting would be too emotionally encumbering to do on her own so after talking with Carla I knew this would be the perfect birthday gift. At the appointment, Carla had a compassionate, welcoming demeanor that immediately assuaged any fears or insecurities. While the two women were confabulating and picking out new garments I sat in a very comfortable chair towards the front of the store and responded to emails staying out of the way. I cannot tell you exactly how or why but as mother and I walked out of the store with her bounty in tow she had an aura of serenity about her. Being a guy, I had no idea that a correctly fitted bra and some shapewear could have an almost immediate impact on one's disposition as they will walk a little taller and have more swagger. It also did not go unnoticed from the other ladies at the office . My advice for any guy looking for a thoughtful gift for any lady in their life is to connect with Carla at Uplift and talk through your ideation for a gift and give her a budget and get out of the way - she is the consummate professional and you will not be disappointed. read more

Amazing!!! Carol and the young girl she had as an assistant were super friendly. I thought I had been choosing ok bras most of my life but come to find out my cup was way off.. and I had had fittings before but nothing like this!! She made one measurement and brought all the right bras! Not as much support as I would like but sooo comfortable and fit well. (I am pretty large). Im ok with the price seeing as how it has cost more in the long run bc I have to replace them often from other dept stores bc they break on me. Eat your heart out, Victoria's Secret! I have found a locally-owned place to shop for my intimates and lingerie! I happened upon Uplift while strolling through the Carmel City Center after brunch. Their window display drew me in with a delicate, lacy number on one of the mannequins. After Pillow Talk closed, I didn't think I would find another small business lingerie shop that had the same kind of unique offerings for undergarments or attention to customer service. But, Uplift certainly impressed me with both even after just stumbling upon it. The shop isn't too big, but offers a great selection of intimates for both guys and gals. The dressing rooms are quite spacious and very clean too! I had the intention of simply having a browse of their stock, but ended up leaving with two really nice bras! The shop owner, Carla, was the main reason for my purchase. She was incredibly personable and greeted us immediately when we entered. Despite my idea to I merely to ogle the item on her mannequin a little closer, she enticed me by showing me different colors and the matching underoos for the bra. I didn't feel pressured to buy at all, but it was a perfect fit, very reasonably-priced for boutique items, and looked more unique than the typical intimates at VS. While they didn't have my size in store for the matching undies, Carla assured me she would contact me when her next shipment came in. Sure enough, I received a postcard in the mail a couple weeks later directly from her, thanking me for my visit and reminding me that she would send me a notice when my size was available. I am extremely unhappy with my experience here. I felt very uncomfortable with the way I was treated by Carla and she was extremely demeaning to me. She made me feel as though I was not a valued customer after I spent $200 on a bra that gave me hives. She was unwilling to compromise at all. She refused to issue a refund for me even though I physically am unable to wear the bra due to it giving me a rash. She is not interested in making her customers happy, she only cares about a sale. The first time I went to see her my daughter was a little over a year old and my bras had not been fitting for quite some time and quite honestly my body was just different than it used to be. I had been fitted before but never got the in depth attention and care that Carla gave. I went in feeling frumpy and left feeling like a Queen. She took her time with the fitting, teaching me how to properly put on a bra (yes we are all probably putting it on incorrectly) we tried on several styles and she was patient and so tender with me. Went in just checking out places up in Carmel and I was pleasantly surprised. The owner helped fit me into a bras that fit me so much better then my current bra and had so much knowledge on how to care for bras, how they should fit and how the companies see uses make their bras. She carries bra sizes A though J and has customizable lingerie. The owner made a slightly awkward situation very comfortable and was so nice.
