They cancelation period is typically 24 hours prior. There is a receptionist who can handle appointments too. Service by every practitioner I've used and every receptionist is excellent. There is a comfortable waiting room. There is free WiFi. The clinic is wheelchair accessible. There are no customer washrooms, but there are washrooms closeby in the hospital. Safety is a priority here as this is a clean private practice downtown with limited clients. The air purifier is on, and Andre takes his COVID testing frequently and getting vaccinated. So if you're going to go to any massage place, this place is a safe bet. Andre's massages are still the best I've had, and I don't throw this out lightly. I was a dabbler before and tried many therapists and went back to him in the end. He finds the right balance of making it relaxing and using a perfect amount of pressure for effective treatment. My back would ache from sitting on my butt all day or from playing vball and golf. I feel as good as new after his deep tissue massage. He also has a ton of knowledge of other techniques under his belt from teaching in the massage school. This is a great deal considering Andre takes the extra time for comprehensive treatment and for you to feel comfortable at all times.

You kind of need to be fully relaxed and trust him, in order for him to be able to help your body heal. Which is what he did for me, and I could not be happier about it! He even assisted in financial terms, where he devised a payment plan that helps space out payments and reduce overall cost, which i found refreshing and very helpful for patients struggling with finance. Every other review site rated this clinic very highly so I decided to call here and make an appointment. Dr. Matthew was very welcoming and easy going. He was very engaged in learning my health history and how I've been suffering with chronic back pain for years. He completed his examination, which included a good amount of objective measures that we could compare to after some treatment. I was very impressed with his explanation about my problem and his approach to treating me for it. It made total sense, with a simple straightforward approach that would be reasonable and easy to manage. I received my first chiropractic adjustments on my first visit and could feel improvement immediately. On my second visit he introduced some stretches and strengthening exercises that I could do each do to support the treatment and progress as quickly as possible. I'm now two weeks into care with Dr. Matthew at Vellore Chiropractic & Wellness Centre and it has been the best decision about my back pain I've ever made. I made a second follow-up appointment and low-and-behold - he was trying to sell me on a year long "better living" program upwards of 3.5k. When I insisted and only said I was here to be on a pay-per-session basis, he kept trying to insist that I would need the WHOLE program to feel better. Needless to say I never returned and went elsewhere. I don't want to be conned because I'm desperate to be out of pain. HE is con-artist!

As I sat filling out the forms of which there were approximately 5 or 6 forms, the receptionist was talking on the phone. In reading over the forms, on one page that I was to sign for Chiropractic Care which I had not requested, I was crossing off the sections that stated that I accept the risks involved including convulsions, broken bones and worse. Just as I was completing that form, the receptionist interrupted her phone conversation to abruptly say that she gave me that form by mistake and I didn't need to complete it. I then was reading over the next acknowledging the risks of Acupuncture and other therapies as the therapist sees fit including burns, shocks, etc etc. This form referred to the "doctor listed below" however no doctor was listed. When I asked the receptionist who the doctor was she said just he is qualified and registered. " Just sign, just sign, just sign she said abruptly." Along with the lack of answers to my question that she clearly did not want to answer, I felt I was being bullied into 'Just Signing". I then responded to her quietly and evenly that I don't want to sign without reading the forms. I can't even remember her response to this at this moment. She must have said again just sign because it was at this moment I once again said gently but firmly that I do not want to sign what I have not read. It was at this same moment I decided something was not quite right about this place and that I needed to leave. I handed her back the mostly incomplete and unsigned forms and said quietly to her, "This does not feel right to me. I feel I'm being bullied in to signing forms I have not as yet read." I didn't mention her refusal to answer my question about the name of the doctor I was supposed to sign giving permission for him to perhaps burn or shock me. I followed my gut but I was disappointed as I had planned my day around this first appointment and had already waited a week for it. Still, I left feeling I had made the right decision and before I was even back home I was certain of it. I may have to wait another week for another appt at another Physio place but I hope at my next one my initial impression and the therapists instill confidence in me. I am not new to physio, chiropractors or acupuncture as over the years my active lifestyle has led me to seek out various therapies. Never have I encountered anything like this. I arrived at 2:30 pm and left the office at 2:45. I suggest you don't even try. She was still on the phone.
