Right when you walk in there's a coat check. After that you can check in upstairs to reserve a tee time (we only had to wait roughly 30 minutes). While waiting there are plenty of fun drinks at the bar or several food options. There are about 4 different small shops within Swingers that provide different foods such a pizza or gelato.

Upon arriving one of us had tripped on the ramp directly outside the door as this was not clearly taped and made apparent to everyone that there was a trip hazard straight outside the door, as this happened the security man in the door picked on our friend and decided to make it apparent that she was not going to be allowed to participate and that a manager had to assess if she was fit enough to play.. To which we stated not only did she trip in the ramp but she is unsteady on her feet on a normal day due to her disability, however they did not take that into account and still persisted to accuse her of being intoxicated and unfit to play.. We were then eventually allowed to go inside to order our drinks to which our friend who was picked on at the door was not allowed any alcohol to which we still explained her disability to which they persisted that she was not allowed and Alcohol, shortly after this they said she was unable to play all together and that they would refund her, however we still did not find this very fair given the circumstances the manager still persisted to single my disabled friend out and make the situation worse, and the manager did not give any sympathy to the fact they had made my friend cry over this whole situation.. We then got some drinks at the bar, which were disgusting, might I add that I ordered a gin and lemonade, however I would say this was just a bland drink of ice, more than anything else.. I find it very frustrating that not only did they accuse my friend of being intoxicated, they are more than happy to serve you alcohol at the bar as much as you want, yet they then say if your too intoxicated you are unable to play yet they are happy to pour out as many drinks possible... We spoke to the security and manager on multiple occasions to explained the situation however they couldn't of cared any less and where completely unreasonable given the situation.. Before leaving a few people decided to use the toilets before going elsewhere to which we were greeted by a few women who were so pissed they could hardly go to the toilet themselves, let alone play crazy golf, however they were given entry and were allowed to play crazy golf as well as keep getting drinks at the bar.. Based on this experience I would not recommend as they are very unreasonable and unfair to customers, even more so discriminating people who are disabled, highly disappointed and a waste of time, will definitely not return.

We initially stopped in here to play a quick round of mini golf to avoid the rain, but were pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive it was. We had a quick round of mini golf, played pong and some of the arcade games and a round of one of the board games. Luckily when we were there, there was only one other couple so everything went by pretty fast. The cocktail menu is OK and pretty standard, but expected for a small game bar such as this place. I wouldn't necessarily come here with a big group, but I think 2 to 4 people would be a good size because of how small the place is. Overall, it was a fun excursion for us!

But it's a bit hard to find because there's no obvious sign that identifies it. Sainsbury is a minute walk up the street so it's perfect if you forgot to BYOB (which you have to do at this venue if you want a drink). The course is very short, but if you're up for anything fun and inexpensive then I recommend trying it out. If you're not that serious about mini golf and just want to have a good time, then you won't mind how small the place is. Maybe since the course doesn't have that many holes and you want to play for a while book a few rounds. One staff member, his name is Denis, that was there was extremely tentative and nice. He explained all parts of the course and kept checking on us throughout the game. Shoutout to Denis for making our experience better!

For a Fiver you could recharge a little sea side nostalgia and demonstrate your putting prowess over slopes, tunnels, and windmills! The course was good, hitting through a bowling alley and a minutia Battersea PowerStation was great fun and afar cry from the peeling paint of your typical 1950's seaside crazy golf course. It was clear from the first holeI was a bad golfer - from the secondit was a fore-gone conclusion that I will be shamed wooden spoon winner! And indeed I was. My handicap.? A longstanding 'Golf-Elbow!' Of particular interest was the 19th hole (the bar) where we were greeted by a pear / sparkling wine / star anise cocktail courtesy of Cinnamon Kitchen a bar /restaurant next to the course. It was deliciously different and I could have quite easily hit this down in one!! Shortly followed by flavoursome Indian canopies. Yum. I was a little Tee'd off by the banning of drinking on the course and maybe the night could have down with some musical ambience. But, if you are looking for something a little bit different to do in London grab your putter and tap your way to victory at Devonshire square.

And just the knowledge that there's a full 18-hole course in Central London (steps from Liverpool Street Station) in a beautifully renovated (and covered) courtyard makes me love this city even more. Managed by Moneypenny Events (http://www.moneypennyevents.com/content/golf-devonshire-square.asp) , this Devonshire Square mini-golf course offers a cheap and easy opportunity for fun. A round costs $5/per which sounds like value for money to me. Weekly and monthly passes are available too. I was there with 14 other Qypers and everybody had a brilliant time. Everybody loved it. At the end we all convened at the 19th Hole for some tasty cocktails and nibbles from Cinnamon Kitchen's Anise Bar (which is right there in the same Devonshire Square Courtyard).

On arrival I wasn't really too impressed with the cramped seating arrangement around our table, or the close proximity of the other tables, but it was my mothers 80th birthday and we all wanted her to enjoy her night as she had been looking forward to this for many months. Well, with everyone at their place It soon became obvious that my initial worries were only half right. There was barely enough room to squeeze through between tables and at one point it looked like the only place for my 7 month old grand daughter to sleep in her push chair, was going to be outside with the gnats. The serving staff did their best to work in the overbooked floor space, and as the evening progressed they seemed to suffer the brunt of most of the complaints. We sat for 70, yes, SEVENTY minutes, waiting for our first course. The soup that I had ordered some four months earlier was reasonable. Another HOUR passed before the main course arrived, among the confusion of who ordered what, and passing plates around the table I had eaten my duck before a side dish of vegetables arrived. I had really lost interest by the time the option to choose from the sweet trolly came, and I just chose and ate for the sake of it. My Mother put a brave face on the whole night, but I know how she was feeling inside. A member from our party joined a queue to have a say with the manager, and at the end of the settlement, he waived the 10% service charge and gave us some free wine. But I doubt that made my mum feel a whole lot better. The food was ok, the staff tried their best. But it kind of felt to me like I was just another bum on a seat, crammed into a greedy restaurant where profit comes a long way before quality of service. And finally, I have issues of a professional nature. It was obvious to me that the health and safety concerns of the general public were not being taken very seriously. Too many tables too many chairs, not enough access to fire escapes is only the beginning. 15/8/11 .. As an update, Top meadow has been in contact with my mother, offering her some more free wine if she books another table in the restaurant . They lay blame for the evenings events on staff shortage in the kitchen. This to me is just further insult. Firstly a few cheap bottles of house wine is of very little interest to my parents, both in their 80s and non drinkers. And this only if they spend more money. Secondly, this had very little to do with staff shortages and everything to do with overbooking. My mother booked her birthday party back in March. It was ruined by greedy management, not kitchen staff.
