She had been caring for my dog as he was becoming old and senior, then suddenly the appointments were becoming further and further out to the point where we were having to seek out different random facilities... repeatedly. When your pet is sick, you can't wait two months! It's ridiculous. They're now using the excuse that they're going to an electronic system, but the inability to get a timely appointment was happening prior to their system changing over. Ultimately, our dog was diagnosed with cancer and heart disease over a period of time by OTHER vets and our Dr at Highland had no idea because we could never get in to see her. Sadly the time came where we had to euthanize our dog and again, they didn't have time to fit us in, we postponed euthanasia on him TWICE waiting for our Dr at Highland to perform the service. The day came where it became an urgent almost emergency situation and again, they couldn't "fit us in" it was beyond heartbreaking for us and very scary to think about this actually happening when your desperate to get your pet into their vet! We feel terrible that we made our dog suffer unnecessarily, hopeful that we would be able to get in when we needed our vet the most. We had to find another vet in town at the very last minute, someone unfamiliar to us and unfamiliar to our dog to have him euthanized the same day, the added stress to an already terribly stressful and heartbreaking situation was indescribable. He wasn't just a pet, he was an important part of our family. Thankfully, the other vet was a Godsend! We were incredibly pleased with their services, the staff, the Dr and the entire process. They couldn't have been more accommodating. They made a heartbreaking situation very calm and loving. They will become our pets new place of healthcare from now on.

They even took the initiative to contact my previous veterinarian and obtain my dog's records before my appointment, which made the whole process much easier. We were seen right on time, and both the veterinarian and veterinary assistant were wonderful. My dog is usually pretty wary of new people, but she seemed comfortable with both of them. They also took the time to talk through some preventative care options that fit her specific needs instead of giving a one-size-fits-all recommendation. The clinic itself was clean, although definitely smaller than I expected. It feels like a privately owned practice rather than one of those larger corporate clinics where you're just another appointment on the schedule. I actually liked that because it felt much more personal and never rushed. The only downside I'd mention is the cost. Their prices seem to be on the higher end, including medications like Simparica Trio that can often be found for less online. I also thought it was a little unusual that the initial exam fee was higher for first-time clients, since many veterinary offices offer a discounted first visit instead. That said, I felt the quality of care was excellent, everyone was kind and professional, and I left feeling confident that my dog was in good hands. I'll definitely be back.

She recently had a tooth infection and we almost lost her. She was at risk of not making it through the cleaning procedure due to her diabetes, age, and the anesthesia, along with the fact that she wasn't able to eat with her insulin. The doctor gave her some antibiotics and painkillers to help with the infection and make her feel better. This gave her the chance to regain her strength and be able to start eating moist food again. Then I had to make the tough call to proceed with the surgery. She was strong and she was brave. I made the right choice and thanks to the skill of the doctor and his caring staff, my Angel made it through the tooth extraction sugary and cleaning with flying colors. Now she's eating her prescription dry food again and has recovered 100%. Thank you Upper Cumberland Veterinary Clinic. You saved our baby girl.

The Dr we saw 2 weeks ago said it would be no big deal to remove. Come to find out he's not a surgeon and clearly didn't communicate with THE surgeon. They're going to refer us to a "specialist" The cost to have it done will go up significantly. I'm so frustrated. I don't understand why there wouldn't be enough skin to close it considering how stretched out her skin is. I didn't get to see the surgeon.. He sent the tech out to tell me. It's so unprofessional. No communication between the Dr's. I don't know what this clinic is like on a regular basis but based on my experience, I recommend you find a different clinic for your fur baby.
