Patients often ask for my recommendation, "Where do I go Dr. Rock, so that I can get better?" - I always say, it's not the location - Its always the Physical Therapist. Dr. Katie Edwards, the owner/operator of Fight Back Performance & Recovery only has top Physical Therapists working for her. Everyone who works at this location is enthusiastic, positive and focused on ensuring exceptional, compassionate and safe patient care. This isn't your typical "Cookie Cutter" / Sterile Franchise Style Physical Therapy location. These Physical Therapist are not watching the clock and going through the motions. Austin's, practice of Physical Therapy is truly on a higher level. Austin is incredibly experienced and has worked with patients with various physical abilities and limitations. Katie is incredibly knowledgeable and connected with local Charlotte Physicians, Surgeons and Physical Medicine Specialists; She has a tremendously robust referral base. Katie and Austin won't give you a junk referral, for lack of better words. I have been to other Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy centers in Charlotte; This facility truly stands apart. To whomever is reading this, please don't take up my regular scheduled early evening appointments. They accept many insurance plans; which is critical. These guys are also First Responder and Veteran Friendly. This operation has my highest recommendation. Dr. Maz has years of experience in high level sports medicine\training\conditioning and was able to address my pain needs. Once my pain was addressed, we worked on my weight (to keep the pain at bay). I've always been able to manage my weight on my own, but had gained about 40 lbs in the past 5 years. I thought it would be easy to take it back off, (it was before), but I was wrong. Things that had worked before (strenuous excercise 5Xweek and "clean" eating) were not working this time. Again skeptical, I started the Maz diet program. I am 4 weeks into the program and have lost 9.8 lbs and 11 inches. The diet is a bit restrictive, and a couple weeks in, I found myself uncomfortable. Dr. Maz and I worked together to modify the diet into something I could manage comfortably throughout the day, without getting hungry, and I continue to lose weight. They have made my time there stress free and fun. I have worked with all the therapists, assistants, and office staff (Leah), and every one has been kind and understanding. Don't get me wrong, they expect me to work hard at therapy and at home, but they offer constant encouragement and praise. I have worked most often with Chris and we have a nice rapport. I have never enjoyed going to PT as much as I have to Compleat Rehab. We laugh, I grumble, and we laugh some more. They have brought my arm from being unable to use it to being able to raise it above my head. I was concerned my arm would never be "normal," but they have proved me wrong. Found out the cost after my insurance paid and it was too much. The guy got me a loan for part and set up a payment plan for the rest. They started my treatment the same day after my loan approval. They ran me through the cycle. No one introduced themselves to me, they just went to work. I had to ask the PTA the her name and the names of the chiropractor and nurse. No one stressed the importance of doing the strength exercises at home. They just gave me the papers. I saw a nurse, chiropractor, and physical therapy assistant (PTA). No Physical Therapist and No medical doctor. Everyone was nice and friendly. At the end, on your last day of treatment they give you a survey. I let them know how I genuinely felt. After the survey the nurse sat me in an exam room to let me know she read my survey. This was uncomfortable. She seemed offended, when she said she hoped she was not a person who did not introduce herself to me before getting to work on me. She was. The chiropractor seemed annoyed and decided not to reposition my legs to the same length. He said, "there even." I immediately thought to myself, "that's a lie." I am not sure why they thought it was a good idea to confront me about my survey. The last time I went to the office to make a payment the whole staff stood in a line as if they were ready to fight. I had no idea why. It was awkward. I paid my bill and left w/o incident. The visit was akward. They missed charging my cc for two months then tried to charge it three times in one day as a result of their mistake. I do feel better than before I went there. So their process is able to relieve pain. However, they need to work on their customer service skills.

Trisha at the front desk is very nice and greets each client. Jacob is my therapist and does a great job! Even as he's helping one client he is monitoring the others.
