Update: Returned a pair of shoes bought via Amazon to a local store for UPS delivery. Guess what? Never delivered. Amazon finally gave me a credit because I had the slip showing they had been dropped off; however, I had to wait 30 days to make sure they wouldn't magically reappear. They didn't. I spent a total of 20 seconds here and that's all I really needed to gauge this place and here's why: 1. It's down a beatup road in the middle of a sketchy looking industrial part of town. Most UPS facilities look like modern offices or malls. This looks like a lumber yard in the distance. 2. The actual storefront is ridiculously tiny and is laid out terribly. When I walked in I didn't know where I was supposed to go. There was no one at the counter, either. So I just walked in, turned right and I was somehow in their hallway. Thankfully a lady came out and showed me where to go. 3. IT REEKED OF PISS IN HERE! Did a homeless person camp out in here or do they have plumbing problems? I didn't even SEE a bathroom - where's this nasty stench coming from? I will say the lady working the counter was nice and she got me out of there quickly, but I can't imagine I'll ever stop back here again. There's gotta be a better location in Lakeland. read more

I've been using this center for several years for both personal and business purposes. The rep at the desk is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The person who mans the center is very friendly and accommodating. I went here to track down a package. I had paid for two day delivery but the delivery UPS guy did not stay at my front door long enough for me to answer the door. He left a sticker saying he would try again the next day (with no shorter window of hours). The website was worthless for contacting anyone. It even did not show record of my package by the tracking number. (one-star) I called the main UPS Customer Service numbers and got a guy with REALLY bad English. (one star) So I decided to drive to this center and see if I could get the package in person. He said "between 7:30-8 pm". He did call the guy who agreed to redeliver the package at my home (two hours later). I really appreciated the guy's efforts though the whole episode was a bad experience for me. read more

UPS service reeks. This review is on an experience with the final delivery that is based from this Lakeland Customer Service Center. I had a package shipped to me that the shipper tagged as needing a signature. All well and good. However, UPS did not give me any notification of when the package was going to be delivered prior to it actually being attempted to be delivered. Am I supposed to sit around all day and put my life on hold waiting for them to arrive? UPS demands my signature to release the package but doesn't tell me within 24 hours of when they will arrive if at all. That means they hold me hostage to receiving my own package. I have spent 3 days thus far trying to connect with the delivery person. Each time they come, even when I am looking for them but, they seem to slip by with just leaving a note telling me they couldn't contact me. Well, Dhaa. They have my phone number. I also requested that the supervisors or someone give me a call and let me know within an hour or two of when to look for them but, nothing! What the hell UPS? I want my package and I want to be released as a hostage from your delivery service. If I ever have a choice in the future to pick a delivery service, UPS will be my last choice! Now, give me my package. I paid for the "Delivery" and not the option of driving 40 miles to claim it at your distribution center. If it comes down to that, I should be refunded my delivery charges because you didn't deliver it if I have to pick it up! BAD UPS!!!! read more

Good luck with that one!! I am signed up for My Choice, with delivery to the front door. How hard is it to deliver a package to someone's front door? Packages (marked fragile) are dropped over a 5' fence or left outside the property. This is the worst place I have ever dealt with. First they told me my expensive order was delivered to the wrong address on 11-28 and that it would be delivered the next day. They showed it delivered to my address at 6;50 PM on 11-29. It wasn't. I called the distribution center the next day and a lady named Marilyn said the package was scanned but was never put on the truck (HUH). She guaranteed me it would be on the truck and delivered on 11-30. Well guess what, it wasn't. They have lied to me continually and I will be contacting the Post Master General about this situation. The delivery driver refuses to deliver to my address. When I have a package arrive at the store it is held and returned to sender . I get no notification, no chance to go and pick up my package. If I complain I get absolutely told to go pack sand. No customer service whatsoever. I go well out of my way to ship with anyone but UPS. read more

Every single time I get my medication, that has to be kept refrigerated and requires my signature, they don't even knock on my door! I have 2 dogs that hear everyone that knocks on the door but they never hear the UPS deliveries! It is almost like they sneak the package on my little porch and then run! You would think they would knock since it requires my signature, but NO, every time I follow up on it I find out that someone has FORGED my signature!! It is nobody here because I am alone when the deliveries come, no instead it is the UPS driver signing (forging) MY name!! This activity causes the ice blocks to totally melt with the FL afternoon/evening sun beating down on my medication! I am disabled and in a power chair and unable to run to the door every few minutes to see if it is sitting outside. I try to start checking as often as possible when no one has knocked on the door by the tine my other UPS deliveries have normally been delivered. I can only hope that my shot medication does not get overheated enough that it makes me ill!!! I have stopped doing most of my online shopping that I used to do at Amazon.com, Kohl's, etc. due to the fact that I fear it may be stolen or damaged in the FL rain!
