Well to me this place is the hospital for UPS. So it's important that it stays and never goes away. I had a package an important package coming. They left a notice. So I called up I got connected to an out sourced person female who could not listen you could say avenue and she would Say Ave., Street after telling her an address five times she changed the address to a no such street here. Driver couldn't deliver and I couldn't find it and the shipper couldn't find it. So luckily the hospital took over. Sure they have limited hours now but they are only for bad outcomes when you can't normally get your package. I called him and he saved the day So for me cheers to UPS . I was told they would attempt delivery 3 days in a row and then. You can take the notice during business hours to the customer center after you call them and they will bring out your package. Now with outsourcing they could not attempt delivery because apparently outsourcing doesn't hire quality people. So I ll give 5 stars to the UPS hospital just to keep them alive for that one time you need them . Quit sniffling about them read more

And of course, the UPS driver left this package labeled "EXTREMELY URGENT" on the floor in front of my door for anyone to take. Absolutely insane. No apology and no communication with UPS. Bad service, I ordered a product from Apple, they first delivered on Friday 10/13 but I was not at home, so they said they will re-deliver it to the next day. However, on the app showed "out for delivery" everyday but didn't arrive. I had to stay home all the day to wait for my package which never arrive, and get a really bad communication and helpless from service. On Tue 10/17, I emailed customer service and they said I can come to pick up. Later on, when I am the way to pick it up, I opened a live chat and they again told me that I couldn't pick up it, and ask me where I get that information that could come to the store to pick up by saying "how did you get that information"??? Is that how you serve and solve your customer problems? Then they told me to contact to Apple for the lost item while mu item still in their store. It seems like not UPS's fault but my fault or Apple's fault???? I called in to try to understand why and the service rep, Lauren, said that because the driver wasn't working right now there's nothing she could do. I asked her if she could check in on Monday and she said she's not working so I just have to wait for my package. A UPS driver claimed to have tried to deliver a package to 750 O'Farrell Street several times but was unable to do this. As of this writing, a UPS customer service rep., along with a dispatcher connected to the SF "warehouse"/distribution center that received my package, failed to clarify whether this UPS driver tried to ring the buzzer on the intercom system connected to the apartment I was staying in. The female dispatcher with whom I spoke would not clarify this information, which would have saved me and UPS time and money on investigating why my package was not delivered after a family member paid over $50.00 to have it shipped to this address. This dispatcher responded to my questions about the UPS driver's failed attempts to deliver my package by saying that I am not his only customer. Really? Good to know that UPS has more than one customer. Thank you for confirming that UPS is a logistics company with more than one customer -- really helpful. Clearly, UPS and others are not disclosing more details that should be available, given that dispatchers communicate with drivers on an ongoing basis. The SF-based dispatcher was completely unprofessional. I hate giving negative reviews but UPS customer service is crazy. Most of the drivers really don't give a crap. We do have a regular driver who is really awesome and we love him. How does a driver keep making delivery attempts before business hours even after calling to inform them not to have him keep coming so early? Also, the ETAs on the emails they send are useless according to dispatch. Once they load the trucks, they just go down the blocks according to the drivers and if they miss your window, you're SOL. The only solution they have is to have you pick up from their facility. What's the point of paying for shipping if you have to go physically to pick the package?! We see countless UPS trucks roll by every hour on Geary Blvd, you're telling me you can't have our packages on a truck that delivers a little later in the area?! I order precious metals online. My last large order was delivered to a business miles away from me. The lady who signed for it apparently did not read the address on the package until after the driver left. The very rude lady called me and said it was a small heavy box. I didn't tell her it's $10,000 worth of gold and silver. She won't give me the package until Monday, and refuses to give me more than a cross street address. I am very disappointed in UPS, and will not use UPSagain if I can help it. Both the driver and the lady who took delivery of the package should have double checked the signature and address. The customer service center has yet to resolve issues with my package. I've had to call the center 4 times to confirm that my address is the correct one. No alterations were made on any of the calls, despite confirming several times no status changes to my package have changed, but remained on verification needed. Each phone representative logged the same ticket and let me know the center would call. Despite being told each time I would get a call, I received a call once from a miscellaneous number that did not leave a voicemail or call back number. Hence why I had to call the customer service center back. I never revived another call. My package is still not delivered. I continue to receive texts letting me know to update my information. I was a little nervous about how the experience would be while picking up a package...was pleasantly surprised. I popped in early on a Monday afternoon. To my delight there was NO LINE! The gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful. After viewing my photo ID and dipping into the back room, he promptly returned with my package. The employees appeared to be happy and I chuckled when a FedEx driver popped in to retrieve on of his lost packages. Even the security lady at the door was making the best of her (likely boring) day. I had a tracking number - nothing indicated that the package had to be signed for. The timeslot for dropoff was "before 9 pm" .. WTF. UPS left w/out leaving the package, and tracking said it was going to an access point, but that would be on Monday; today is Saturday, and there was no way to get the package before Monday evening. I NEED the package, but UPS Customer Service said, "nope". Well, FU UPS Customer Service. Next time I need to send a package, I say "nope" to you. On 11/12/23 I ordered a packet of brass screws w/ Amazon Prime projected delivery 11/14. 11/13 It was picked up & delivered to Oakley, CA about an hour away from my No. CA house...so far so good. Then 11/14 they sent it to Temecula, CA...way down in So. CA...where it apparently sat for over a day...then by the end of the day on 11/15 it had been sent further south to San Diego, CA. But the Amazon site tells me no worries it should get to me by 11/17...my projected delivery date...wrong. UPS LOST our package! I helped my husband order a backpack on 4/17 for our camping trip this weekend. Selected $30 for OVERNIGHT shipping so we can get it a day before our trip. Tracking was uploaded and shows delivery date of 4/18 at 10:30am at my work. At 1030, there was a UPS driver who came with no packages. I waited all day and another UPS driver came at 430pm with no packages. At 450pm, I made my first call to UPS and asked why the package was not delivered when I paid extra for overnight. Incompetent. No answer. I asked for the package to be held at my local UPS shipping facility so he did just that and somebody will call me within 1 hour to confirm pick up details. At 535pm, I made my second call to UPS and asked why there hasn't been any calls yet. Was told that I had to wait the FULL HOUR for a call back. Asked if they have GPS tracking on their packages to see where it's at in the city so maybe I can go meet up with the driver to pick up. He told me they do not have GPS technology at this time. At 6pm, I made my third call to UPS since it's been past 1 hour and still have NOT received a call back. Was put on hold for 30 mins and was told that there are no new details for my package. UPS phone representatives are useless, incompetent and does not care for your time or packages. Between the phone calls, and driving out to the UPS shipping location - I wasted over 2 hours of my time chasing my package. I arrived at the shipping facility shortly after 630pm and gave the lady the tracking number. She made a phone call and told me that the truck that has my package just arrived in the back and is unloading. I waited for my package on the sidelines. She received a phone call shortly and told me the bad news.. The truck does not have my package and she told me that my package is LOST. She told me that she will call me if somehow my package shows up. No phone calls. Typical. It is now 16 HOURS since my package should've been delivered and I do not have my package. No phone calls. Nobody knows where my package is. My next step is to file a claim to get my money back for this backpack. Horrible. I still prefer USPS. read more

Waited two days for an overnight package. Upon checking my ring camera, on the first day the driver rings the neighbors doorbell & never knocks on my door. I never knew he was even trying to deliver the package. I request for pickup and wait 4 hours almost 7:30pm and drive to the facility where they say the driver won't be back until 8:30 or 9pm which is when they might close??? So I could maybe pick it up if he makes it back or deliver next day. I chose to deliver next day, which the guy at UPS changed in their system. I waited all day at home with my front door cracked open, no UPS ever came. It's an overnight package, if you ring a doorbell and do not hear the slightest sound coming through the door you're standing in front of, perhaps, as a package delivery driver, you should knock on the door as your sole job is to notify someone you're there to deliver their package. If you can't do this, you can not do the basic function of your job and should maybe not be a package delivery driver. read more

I've not been here for a while and I don't know where to go because it was kind of confusing there's a sign you go drop off your package but then the girl goes no you just go to the right. and so is usually there but she was very helpful even though someone walked ahead of me she still was able to help me which I thought that was nice I don't think that the customer appreciate that but oh well I was there first. lol Oh and if I guess if you have a small package they have like three boxes out in the front which I guess you could just drop off instead of going in there. Missing an expensive package from abroad. Called the 800 number. Given a case number, and told that they have it two blocks from me, where it has being sitting for a week, because I did not accept delivery. I am always at home at this time in my life. There was no such attempt. I pay somebody to go with me and get it on Franklin. Of course, it is not there. The nice man working there tells me that it might be on San Bruno Avenue. He tells me that their system does not have case numbers, but they do have package tracing, and he concludes that it is again on San Bruno Avenue. They cannot arrange for it to be brought to me. This was on Sunday, April 2. The nice man working there insists they have no manager who I can call at the Franklin location and ask about this terrible, terrible service. He says again, like the operator on the 800 number the previous evening, that I was not there to receive it, and that, in fact, I rejected it. When I get home, the automated system will not put me through to an agent at any location to follow up. I am so mad I could spit. The automated system demands that I start a case, and waste more of my time because of their incompetence and dishonesty. For what you charge, you especially suck at your customer service. read more

NO STARS!!! UPS is the WORST! I have had nothing but issues with UPS on almost every single delivery! I order from Amazon often and never have I had an issue when Amazon Prime is the carrier but every single time UPS is the carrier, I do. First the UPS driver began leaving all of my packages on my PICNIC BENCH and not at my front door which is literally like 10' further, thus making my package visible to car and foot traffic for all to see and also weather conditions. On every delivery I've called Amazon and UPS to stress that this is unsafe and asked for my package to be left at my front door, which should be the default! I've seriously called so many times and have spend endless hours on the line over and over again for months now. Finally I got the UPS driver to leave my package at my front door once and then the very next UPS delivery and every UPS delivery thereafter will drive up to my place and then leave while minutes later I'll get a notification that there was an "Attempted Delivery" yet there was no attempt, I was home, no door was knocked on, no doorbell was rang, no package was left at my front door OR on my picnic bench! Now UPS keeps telling me that there is an issue with my address and I have to call to fix it. So I call and confirm my address is correct and UPS confirms that it is indeed correct as well then tell me my package will be delivered tomorrow. Guess what, same thing happens the next day. So I call again and go through the same exact thing and am told the same thing again and that it will be delivered tomorrow....NOPE! I've gone through this fiasco over and over again. I'm now demanding that Amazon no longer uses UPS when delivering packages to my home. Take this one with you and demand the same thing for your package because if Amazon thinks you might stop ordering from them they will make this happen and use other carriers or there own Amazon Prime carriers. UPS courier not only CANNOT READ, he does not give a good GD about your package arriving safely! My apartment in San Francisco is a gem that is at 'street level' and has its own private front yard garden surrounded by a 6 foot privacy fence. Whether it be USPS, Fedex, UPS or Amazon, I place a large cardboard placard on my front gate to alert the courier that it's OK to toss the package over my gate OR when it's a FRAGILE package (DO NOT TOSS) but to just give me a 'shout out' and I'll be there to grab the fragile delivery package in a nano second. Yes, there is a door bell, but I'm trying to save the courier from having to walk up 20 steps with package to ring it, and then come back down to the street level. Trust me, my living area is about 15-18 feet from the front gate and I'll definitely hear the courier! Back to today... I'm sitting at my desk when I hear this horrific THUD! I race out to see my package laying on the interior sidewalk of my front yard garden area. Courier was beligerant with a smart mouth when I confronted him. Don't think I didn't get a few licks in. He totally ignored or couldn't read the placard that stated 'FRAGILE DELIVERY'. He yells out to me, 'FILE A CLAIM'! The antique clock was severely damaged, porcelain dial in pieces and the movement completely dislodged from the case. I wanted the clock in good order, NOT to be reimbursed by UPS for the insured value. Couriers like this need to find a job that has NOTHING TO DO WITH DELIVERY and/or CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

Apparently they are not concerned for my paying for their service or my well-being cause they tell these drivers who complains and where I live. Who would want that kind of backlash. That's pretty upsetting. Seeing the driver pull away when I left, some young person, that looks like he has a problem with me, does not make me feel comfortable using UPS anymore. Pretty upset. This is my extremely frustrating experience with UPS...they notified us that we were receiving a package that someone over 21 must sign for. I waited all day for that package and later that day, found a message from UPS that they missed us and they would try again tomorrow. I did not hear the doorbell or knock at the door. We tested the doorbell and it worked fine. The same thing happened the next day. I did not want this to happen again. We made plans to go to their warehouse and pick it up requiring 1 hour of our time. Their customer service access via phone and website is user Unfriendly and was impossible for my needs. UPS did show up last thursday morning and took all the packages that had been sitting there for 3 days, but then didn't come back on Friday so now we have yet more packages that are not only time sensitive but financially sensitive. We PAY for overnight service - what are we paying for when we don't get ANY service. There is virtually nowhere to find who our local representative is. At my local UPS in Bernal I have had consistently great experiences-helpful staff, contactless breezy amazon returns in the age of COVID, prints and copies without lines or hassle. This customer center is like stepping into a different parallel world where UPS has somehow merged with a DMV and small claims court. There's the boredom and the wait, the soul-deadening bureaucratic vibe, and the reliable presence of exasperated customers arguing with exasperated staff about missing or delayed packages. If shipping from this location you have to fill out the information on their computer before being cross-examined by the person checking the package for delivery. I was called back and told my package could not be delivered because I hadn't declared the liquid contents. This would not have happened at the local UPS where they are really on your side and driven to make life easy for you. read more
