Hard to believe it's been 5 years since the last bad review. I'll fix that. I looked up the word 'SUCK' on line. Guess what came up? The UPS logo! Twice in less than a month, UPS Ground has failed to deliver air-freighted perishable food on time, though this time they did get the eggs and dairy to me; the meat will sit in the hot truck another day, because the afternoon shag driver claimed the business was closed at 4:39 pm. Funny thing is that I watched him drive by without a glance. The previous time, I immediately had that vendor switch me to FedEx exclusively, which I'll now attempt to do with this one. I had an extremely important NDA envelope to be delivered to me on Monday. Unfortunately things happen and when I tracked it online, it didn't show any activity to be delivered. I called the facility to hopefully find it still in the building. The new person answering the phones told me that it was still in the trailer unloaded, which wasn't acceptable to me. Then I get a call back from Sylvia, she knew exactly where to find it and was able to hold it for me. I was so relieved because of the importance check inside. All negative reviews are 100% accurate- they're just so horrible. First mention, I NEVER use them even if my life depended on it;however my brothers life was! Waiting on important VitalChek records for my disabled brother not once but twice & they just don't want to stop to deliver unless big shiny neon numbers/letters & an arrow is pointing to the house, Geez, it wasn't that difficult!. Ok. I'm in my car in the parking lot of this Ups. Usually, I wait till I have time to catch up on reviews, but today's experience was so noteworthy I felt I should write before I take off. Not gonna lie. This UPS drop off is in a pretty sketchy area and looks real questionable when you enter. I try not to go there if possible, honestly. But today I had to bc I was in the area. Usually, the customer service ladies have been great, but today Kim really stood out. She was super cheerful, helpful and polite. These guys never get any better. I try asking companies to send via FedEx because in 5 years I've had no problems with them. UPS can't seem to find drivers who want to work the mountains so there os no consistency. Additionally, the elves working in the warehouse sorting packages aren't able to do their jobs either. Not knowing who the carrier is going to be means Those of us in the mountains must have both our street address & PO Box on every package. The second they see a PO Box they hold my package....the street number is the very next line!! If you call you get an overly apologetic person in the Philippines who is helpless to do anything. I'd join several others and put a 0 if they let me. Everytime I get something that's shipped UPS there is an issue. This time they supposedly tried delivering to my residential address on Sunday and the "business" was closed. I asusme so since it's a house. Then the UPS guy came today, got out of his truck put the "we tried" ticket on my gate and left. I was in my garage watching it happen, my dogs didn't even have a chance to bark. SO now I have to go to their warehouse, becasue they can't send it to any of the 10 UPS store within 5 miles of my house. This wouldn't be an issue if they didn't charge for pick times. Fedex gives me window of 2hours it will be there so I can plan,. USPS is down the road (no matter where you are), DHL calls you to say we are XXX (usually 45) mins out, and Amazon/Ontrac calls when they are at the gate. UPS, dropped "we missed you" and ran back to their truck so fast I cant even tell you if it was a man or woman; black, white or Asian person. This is not the first time. read more

Horrible service. I live in a house in Crestline CA that was built in the 1950's. The house has been here for 70 years and this UPS can not find it. They keep telling me the address doesn't exist. Another 1 star review. I was expecting 2 packages. Each piece had its own tracking number. I received an email for each package stating they will be delivered the next day. When the package was delivered, only 1 package showed up. According to the tracking number the other piece was still on its way. I called UPS and they advised me my other package was still in Texas. When questioning them about the confirmation about delivery I just get the run around. After hours on the phone, UPS finally tells me they lost the second package. Please do not pay for expedited shipping if u live in San Bernardino and its surrounding areas and the courier is UPS. The UPS San Bernardino center is EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE!!! U cannot depend on this location if u want your item fast, especially if u have a pet. They have a punked-ass driver who's scared of a pet, even a puppy the size of a fist or a small parrot. If you or your neighbor have a pet and this UPS driver smells it, he will not deliver it to u. A package was misdeliverd to my home on Tuesday. I attempted to call the driver back but was completely ignored. I immediately called the UPS Customer line in order to get the packed picked back up and delivered to the correct address. On Wednesday, over 24 hours later, after three more phone calls and two promises of a return phone call the package is still at my house. I purchased something on Amazon.com and was given a specific date for delivery. I also used UPS's tracking to make sure the package was going to be delivered on time. The day before the package was to be delivered, it arrived at the local UPS Shipping Center, the next day the package was apparently placed on a truck for delivery. It never arrived. The next day the same thing ... package placed on truck for delivery and never delivered. The next day the same thing and the next day and the next day. Today is the 7th day for non-delivery. I called and they promised me it will be delivered tomorrow, but they made the same promise yesterday. Frankly, I wonder if the package was stolen off of one of their trucks, or perhaps crushed? They are not talking. Additionally, when you call their 800 number, they do everything they can to keep you from speaking to a real human being. You have to be persistent to get through, but when you do, you do not speak to anyone at the local office, you speak to somebody else in ... who knows where they are ... maybe the Philippine Islands? Told them to hold at Victoria Ave. location. E-mail notice said you must bring valid ID. Fine. If you aren't the named person you must bring the tracking number. Fine. Showed both and they claimed that their policy is that the address on your ID has to be the same as the package you are picking up! It says that NOWHERE in the e-mail notice. So what happens when something is sent to somebody sick or otherwise incapacitated and they want a friend or relative with ID for a different address to pick something up for them? SCREW YOU is the UPS policy! I called the 800 number and you have to give a tracking number even to talk to something (just like you have to put a tracking number in online in order to send them a message about anything). The lady at the 800 number had to look things up and according to their INTERNAL (UNPUBLISHED so NOBODY except EMPLOYEES CAN SEE IT) directions the name has to be the same on the ID or the address has to be the same on the ID. At some locations (UPS Stores or such stuff) if your name matches but the address doesn't then MAYBE they will take a utility bill or something to prove residence. UPS is the worst thing around! There is plenty of LABELED "customer parking" but I was the only person there for 15 minutes and the parking was mostly full with me as the only customer! They don't provide enough employee parking so the just let employees park in customer areas. So you might as well use the handicapped parking! Also, if you go in the morning you may be met by a herd of delivery people leaving and PARKING IN THE DRIVEWAY and all along the street and any nearby open areas. Apparently they tell them to get in something and get the hell out of there. The whole place is just an unmitigated disaster. I can't wait for Amazon to put them out of business. . . . UPS could have had "lockers" like Amazon years (DECADES) ago! read more

I just moved into a new build so I understood when the first package to be delivered to me on 19 Dec caused some issues. However, after having to verify my address at least 10 times, as well as, giving them street for street, turn for turn, directions to my house, I still have not gotten my package. This morning I awaken to another email saying UPS could not deliver to my address because the address is incomplete or does not exist. I've been getting regular mail, and FedEx had no problem getting me a package...I told them if I have to come 30 miles and pick up my package I want the money that was paid to them reimbursed back to me...I'm glad I didn't need this package right away, and I'm kinda determined to make them deliver it, because I need them to know how to get to my house, as I order online frequently...I'm so frustrated! Every few weeks I know when we have a new driver because suddenly my packages can't be delivered. When you are waiting on a package from Hellofresh it's no good to me the next day. Our company ships dozens of boxes a week and we choose UPS over the other guys because we receive reliable service with speedy updates on any delayed shipments which does not happen often. Knocked on the window seconds after I saw them lock the door and the brown haired woman pretended not to see or hear me. I knocked and waved, but she looked down and away and walked into another room. She could have at least told me "I do apologize but come back at 7:30 tonight," mouthed "I'm sorry" or something.
