Stopped by Upslope in Boulder and really liked it. Grabbed a flight and everything was good, but the German-style pilsner was definitely my favorite--super crisp and easy to drink. The nitro stout was solid too, nice and smooth. I also got the California chicken sandwich and it hit the spot. The roasted red pepper mayo made it. Fries were hot and crispy, no complaints there. Lastly, HUGE SHOUT OUT to the bartender SAIJA! So welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Quickly made great beer and menu recommendations while balancing a full bar! Stopped by for a beer while in Boulder and wow, this Upslope location is super nice!! Love the decor inside and you can smell The Mighty Colorado Burger wafting through the air. (Had me drooling but I had just eaten lunch before coming in) Bobby was the beertender who helped me and he was very friendly as well. We've had Upslope many times before but finally poked into the brewery. It's what you'd expect from a Colorado craft brewery- but I hate to admit, it's been a while since I visited and aside from my photos, I don't remember anything super remarkable...? That said- do stop by if you're a craft beer fan! It's great that they still have a tap room but distribute so widely. read more

While in Denver, one must visit at least one craft brewery to make the trip complete! My husband and I stopped by Upslope and were intrigued by the diversity of their menu - from regular blonde brews to snowball cocktails, and some sort of 14% ABV wine blend in between! We had a couple of beers - mine was the sour with hibiscus. It was good, and I would order it again if given the change. The crowd was so intriguing, but we definitely enjoyed one another's company. Would recommend as a small craft brewery in the Denver area...but honestly, Blue Moon was better on nearly all fronts. read more

Such a vibe!! After the big Buffs win, I was worried about finding a place to accommodate my party of 10, but Upslope came through! It's super laid back and the staff allowed us to move tables to fit everyone. We sat in the back throwing a few games of darts and enjoying the baseball game. The food was overall decent. They had a wide variety of beers, more limited in the food choices though. If you're looking for diverse beers, DELICIOUS tater tots, and a good time definitely come here! read more

Awesome brewery with top notch service! My husband and I were scootering down the South Boulder Creek trail and saw a paper sign for the brewery. We zoomed on but later the weather turned so we thought we'd stop for a drink and hope the rain passed. We were so surprised when we came through the back door warehouse parking lots and up to the brewery. They did an excellent job of making a business park into a cool brewery. The bartenders (especially the dude in the hat) were so helpful and cool. I enjoyed the whole experience. For the brews, I've had Up Slope before but never the beers we had today. I mixed the 2 sours together after a tasting with the bartender but on their own, I would have gone with the mango. I also got my husband a jalapeño lager which was fantastic!! The interior is really great too, lots of wood and concrete. Just a fun atmosphere all around. I can't wait to return! read more

Upslope gets my upvote. Wanting to start to unwind from a day of traveling and hiking, Emily took us to Upslope Brewing for a beer before heading back to Sammy's place. We walked in and were greeted by a friendly bartender and a really nice bar/drinking area. We grabbed drinks from the bar and took a seat by the windows that looked out into an outdoor drinking area. At first, I didn't see anything on the menu that really stuck out to me but then I saw my ol' favorite hefeweizen. As we sat there, we saw all these dogs with their owners come and go. At one point, we sat and watched these three dogs in the outdoor drinking area because they are just so adorable. Also, this outdoor area has misting to help keep cool while drinking ice cold beer. The hefeweizen was delicious without being too strong on banana, vanilla, or clove notes. Sometimes breweries will lean into those notes a bit too much and, for me, makes them a bit of a slower drinking beer. Not that that is bad, just a personal preference. Anywho, we had our one beer and dipped out. While we were finishing off our glass, they were bringing food out. While I was in no way hungry, the food looked delicious and smelled amazing. This was a nice little quick stop in what ended up being a 3 brewery tour in the span of a few hours. read more

This location is right in front of the flatiron mountains and it's a great atmosphere to catch up with friends or work remotely. Returning to Upslope Brewing... and what a treat it was! I have been to a location in Boulder years ago but not here until more recently. This entry was also considered one of the "lost" breweries due to information lost due to a destroyed phone which had details on the beer experience we had here. With physical notes unearthed the group of breweries where info was once deemed lost was no more. I had two different beers here and both were quite good! We had which seems to be one of their staples, the Brown Ale. This is a great malty, roasty, sweet flavor featured beer. The added presence of a coffee flavor is pleasant as well. The beer is smooth in body. After that Steve and I moved to more experimental flavored type beer and got the Bacon Habanero Imperial IPA was the next beer on the agenda. We really liked this beer a lot and marked it as high as I could on Untappd. This creative IPA has flavors of spicy, heat, along with a great subtleness to it. It is rich and full bodied. Yes indeed, you can detect the presence of bacon and Habanero which reminds me slightly of a baked bacon and pepper snack my family makes which we are so very fond of. read more

Is this a brewery or indoor dog park? First time here didn't know what to expect. No welcome or acknowledgment when we walked in. Got turned off when a customer was sitting with two dogs on her lap at the bar then another customer came in with a barking and jumping dog. We came in the evening and it was bustling. Parking can be a challenge but it is worth looking about for a spot. We headed to the bar to order. The servers were welcoming and told us about the current beer selection. My current fav is their Japanese rice lager. It is light and refreshing. They have a built in food provider, The Mighty, that does burgers. We had just had dinner so we did not order, but the food coming out looked great. We ended up wandering through Upslope over the fourth of July weekend this year, while attending several shows in Boulder. Brewery allowed shakedown street vendors to sell their wares out front, and it made for a fun atmosphere before the shows. Brother and I joked driving here from Denver that it would probably be an office park situation, which it was, but super easy to find. We were able to get a couple beers, a burger and shop beforehand. The company was all very kind that day, surrounded by deadheads. The staff here were super friendly too, even with the crowd. I'd had Upslope beers in the past, but it was nice chatting with the bartenders about each beer we sampled. Being into hops, they had several great options. read more

I visited this Upslope location with a buddy about an hour before closing and parked right out front. We sat on the patio with my dog but despite the "no dogs allowed inside" sign, they told us to come inside for an hour to avoid bug bites without even asking which was thoughtful (there was only like 5 guests inside including us so maybe that's why). There's a nice beer selection and the two sours caught my eye. The bartenders were friendly and let me taste both so I could make an informed selection. I enjoyed the beer and it was super chill and clean inside. I liked the way they displayed the beer options, and there's also some cool beer-inspired art on the walls. Easily one of the most fun brewfests I've ever been to. The beer was awesome, the staff was friendly, beers were not overpriced at $7/each and they also offered amazing craft seltzers if you're not a beer lover. The band and overall music production at the event was really well done. We had such an amazing time at Upslope for my sister's birthday celebration. After a quick hike in Boulder, we stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for a light lunch and beer. We were immediately greeted by staff who walked us through their COVID safety protocols. Staff were masked at all times and seating was spread out to offer groups 6+ ft from each other. Menus were made available via QR code and read from our phones. The beer menu has a great variety and offers a little bit of everything. I ordered the Blackberry Lemon Sour Ale and my boyfriend ordered the German Pils- the waitress brought the wrong pour, but graciously corrected her mistake and left the accidental pour (Kolsch) for us to try. All three were quite enjoyable! We also ordered the empanadas for food. They offer four varieties and we ordered one of each. While pale in appearance, we were very happy with the taste. Super flaky crust and all fillings were uniquely flavorful. Upslope offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and is dog friendly (our pup was offered a giant bowl of water upon arrival). We were looking for a brewery that would be open early on a Tuesday to have an early lunch after picking up family at the airport. This brewery was great! We really enjoyed their pumpkin ale and the mushrooms burgers were massive and amazing and accompanied by tons of fries. On the burgers were Swiss, tons of mushrooms, truffle mayo and very oniony fried onions. Buns were substantial too so they are a mouthful. Quite reasonable at around $13. Service was quick and friendly since they were not very busy. Bathrooms were clean and they seemed very good about all the COVID protocols. No dogs anymore inside the brewery due to the addition of food service but dogs are welcome on the spacious patio. read more

An awesome recommendation from my lovely niece who lives in Boulder. We had dinner at a place that didn't serve beer and I was really jonesing for a good draft but didn't want to deal with huge crowds. Upslope had an incredible selection of beers. I was hiking all day so wanted something lighter and was very happy with their lighter lager (hydrating, really). The rest of the crew got an assortment of ales and everyone was happy. The staff was super friendly and the place had plenty of outdoor seating (with puppies all about which made my teen super happy). Mushrooms ...sure, they were there but maybe a tablespoon and a half at most. I've had (much) better at #PlattParkBurger on Pearl in Denver - where you can even request a medium rare. WOW! I asked for extra crispy fries. Don't know what they did back in kitchen but some were crispy and some you could squeeze oil from. If you're expecting no frills bar food to simply have something in your stomach other than awesome beer then this is it. read more

I'll be honest. We went here for the food truck. We were pretty hungry after a long bike ride and we tracked down the tacos. I've had Upslope's beer at a few restaurants and similar places before. None of them blew me away but they weren't bad beers. I feel like the same was true here. I tried a couple while we were here and I wouldn't say they were a standout in one direction or the other. The place was clean and they had one way traffic going with the two entrances. Tables were far enough apart to make you comfortable about the COVID social distancing thing. The servers came around often enough that you had a drink when you wanted one. Pretty relaxed place on a random Saturday afternoon. As for the tacos, they were pretty good. The quesadilla had a whole lotta cheese. Like a lot a lot. Not complaining. Just making an observation. This place is awesome!! We came here after stand up paddle boarding somewhere local. We probably looked bedraggled and tired, but we were met with warmth and hospitality. We sat inside in the shade and ordered a flight. There is a lot of great variety here and I think most of the beers are brewed in the back, which was so cool. The waiter/bartender plied us with many samples of their latest and greatest on the house, which was also a really cool experience.
