Altogether, we got Spicy Orange Chicken Bowl, a kids meal, a Buffalo Fried Chicken Sandwich, and a roasted half chicken. We were so surprised at how much food the kids meal came with! It wasn't a basic "frozen chicken tender with a side" plate, but packed with food and options. It was a huge spacious place PLUS an outdoor patio. We counted on the Post for so many meals during the pandemic and I have done delivery multiple times since when my husband was out of town and I am no longer driving, that we felt the need to go in person today. One of our favorite things during the pandemic when restaurants could reopen was picking up their in house chicken pot pie. It's my husband's absolute favorite chicken recipe which I used to make myself. Though I am unable to make it now that l have lost a lot of vision and not a single one we have bought elsewhere was sufficient until we ordered from The Post Boulder. After a short time it became too labor intensive for the Post to make in house back then with limited staff so they contracted with a pie facility in Denver. Compared to their own it was merely adequate so we moved on to there other in house specialties. As we were ordering gold specials for Sunday!s big game, I saw that the daily specials now include Chicken Pot Pies Thursday's so we went to try it. This ficus a personal size freshly made this morning it was nice to have for a meal with a side salad. But though good, it was not as hearty as the one we loved 5 years ago. Staff was friendly and attentive and my husbands favorite beer (El Korn) was on tap and my iced tea was customized perfectly . We even brought most of the salad home as it was a large serving for a lunch. We'll be back on Sunday for our wings and other treats that we need to pick up. And we can come back again for a lunch or dinner as the have more items for people like me who cannot eat fried chucked, with their grilled chicken or salmon. read more

I dream about The Post whenever we come to Boulder. Let's start with the cauliflower appetizer with hot honey sauce. Oh my goodness! It's almost illegal. And when my teens eat it up you know it's that good. Next the chicken. We always order extra chicken tenders to take home and eat cold out of the fridge the next day because it is just that good. We asked if any of the 4 empty booths were available and she said sorry they were reserved. Huh we made reservations though. She just said sorry again and left. I had to try it this place because I heard they are known for their fried chicken so I had to come and try it. I got the fried half chicken with a choice of one side (pueblo green mac and cheese) and it came with a cheddar biscuit. The fried chicken was gluten free and it tasted awesome! Pleasant warm ambience for what felt like an upscale dive/sports bar. Great for groups or dates. They looked like they had a huge drink selection, too. However, like I mentioned, I did takeout, and my order was never processed, so I showed up having to wait. There was another customer who was in the same situation as me, so I'm assuming they are just not focused on takeout. I was given free biscuits for my extra wait, so that was nice of them. If I come here again, I will only dine inside. My takeout order was not very good. I got their signature chicken sandwich. The chicken wasn't battered crispy enough for my taste. The seasoning and sauce wasn't flavorful. The french fries were soggy and over-seasoned, to the point where I just didn't want to finish them.
