The doctors, nurses, and staff were as compassionate as can be and seemed to truly care about my well-being. Also, they were very supportive of all decisions and non-judgmental. I knew I was in good hands for 9 months. My L&D experience was amazing because of the team. They are the kindest humans ever and made a nerve-wracking experience surprisingly easy.

I have also become aware of serious allegations concerning her alleged drug use and involvement with selling drugs. Because these are serious concerns, I believe they should be investigated by management rather than ignored. I am not making a determination that these allegations are true, but I feel they are concerning enough to report. I hope Albany OBGYN takes this complaint seriously and looks into the situation appropriately. Patients should feel safe, respected, and comfortable around the staff providing their care.

HOWEVER- lately, they have decided to change their policy regarding signing up for your annual appointment. My last annual was in November. I was asked to call them August 1st to schedule my next annual appointment. That seemed unusual to me (to say the least) but okay, fine. So I called them August first. "Well he's not here the day that would be one year from your last visit, so you'll have to call back in two weeks." I was like "excuse me?? You had me wait 9+ months and have to remember to call you and now I have to call you, AGAIN?...ok. So I called them today, for the SECOND TIME. And guess what she said? THE SAME THING. So now I have to call back in the middle of September. I'm sorry but this is absolutely ridiculous. Why can't we just make an annual appointment AT THE TIME WE HAD OUR LAST APPOINTMENT like normal doctors? Like it used to be? I'm very much normally NOT one of those "like the good old days" kind of people but this is an EPIC waste of my time. Even *if* (and that's a STRONG if) I'm able to make the appointment when I call on September 15th, that'll be 1.5 months of calling trying to make this appointment. I'm honestly just going to look elsewhere. I'm not planning on having any more babies, so I don't need the obstetrics side of it. STEER CLEAR.

Since I've been going to her for the last 4/5 years or so I have seen a decline in this office's help & care. I was out of state and had an issue that I needed a script for to be seen by a different care facility and they couldn't have handled it any worse, with slow responses & completely wrong fax information. I've since moved and decided to switch doctors thankfully, and all I need now is for them to fax over my records. Well- that's been as painful of a process as any with them lately as they literally won't answer the phone. During completely open office hours. I wanted it to be a surprise at delivery and there I was laying by myself on the table, in shock over the circumstances in which I found out that I was having a girl. I called the next day to speak with the office manager and have my files transferred to another office. Her response to my experience was completely uncompassionate and indifferent. Being pregnant is a scary thing especially when you're a first time mom but they make everything easier. I'm never waiting longer than 10 mins for my appointment, they are very accommodating with schedules, always greeted with a smile and never left in the dark about anything. If I have any questions or concerns a nurse calls me back within the hour or I can email them through the patient portal and am usually contacted within the hour. I highly recommend them.

Rosy was a fantastic doula. They say that births with a doula present are less likely to encounter…read moreinterventions. I believe this to be true after birthing with Rosy present. I would not have been able to do it without her! Rosy helped me every step of the way- she came right when I called her, she timed my contractions, contacted my midwives when it was time for them to come, never hesitated, was always present, calm, composed and quick to respond when I needed help. Rosy helped me drink, eat, provided aromatherapy, administered herbs, controlled my TENS machine, massaged me, help me move about...She basically was the greatest support I could have ever asked for and she did everything without me having to ask. She intuitively knew what I needed and when. I truly believe our home birth went so successfully because Rosy were there. Rosy is a clear communicator and has a wonderful and calm demeanor. When I was scared Rosy was there to comfort me. She cheered me on and told me I was doing an amazing job when I was feeling discouraged, and when my daughter was finally born, after a FULL day of labor I was so touched by Rosy's dedication & resolve and so grateful that I had her support. It took my a while to find the right doula as I wanted to find someone who connected with me and made me feel comfortable. The minute I met Rosy I knew she was the one! She's absolutely great! The type of person you want to have around when you're having painful an strong contractions as she has a very calm, soothing voice, sweet personality while at the same time being a firm advocate at the hospital for the birth experience you want to have. My husband and I are incredibly grateful and would recommend every expecting mother to partner up with Rosy. She was always on time, replied to all my emails, all my calls, provided excellent resources, checked on me frequently and was 100% with me throughout labor. It would have been a lot harder to make it without her. After many hours of labor I was able to give birth vaginally to my beautiful baby girl, Paloma. She's also an excellent prenatal yoga teacher so she can recommend exercises to prepare your body for birth and stay healthy throughout your pregnancy, or take her classes, which I did :) She had great connections in the community and referred me to a great chiropractor and acupuncturist who both helped me a lot at the end of my pregnancy.
