FYI, they have restrooms in the back if you need to take care of that type of business. As is the case with all Savers, the prices here tend to be a bit higher than other thrift stores chains. This is not so much a criticism, it's just something to keep in mind. This is not say that you can't find that great deal. It's just that if you're looking for that cheap shirt, pair of pants, jacket, or whatever else, you may not find it here for the price you desire. In terms of parking, they have a large parking lot directly in front of the the store. This lot is is shared with a few other businesses. Though during peak hours,, it's sometimes can be a bit hard to find space, generally you should be able to find one without too much of a problem. Overall, if you want what Savers has to offer, this is a very nice store, with a very nice staff to find it.

I went inside and the mood shifted, clothes were off the racks, books were stacked on each other, toys on the ground, and the home goods area was a MESS, and there was an employee sitting on the furniture at the front!! When I went to check out, the line was long, the registers were moving slow but I can't blame them, they had no help! There was what looked to be a manager walking between the registers, he was talking more than he was helping. I didn't catch his name but he had a hat with a beard. He seemed to be very "close" with the employees, lots of laughing and touching. I feel like there is a lot that can be done to improve this store, more specifically, the management on the inside.

Volunteer Experience…read more I was a new volunteer, and unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience. While I was processing donations in the back, the woman in charge grabbed my hand and thrust it aside. It was because I reached for a pile she was working on. I found the physical contact upsetting and inappropriate. I did not know her and was new to the organization. She apologized afterward, which I acknowledge, but the incident still has affected me negatively. I was new and made some mistakes, and I understand that this may have been frustrating. However, I found that multiple times she spoke to me to be quite stern. She eventually softened her tone, but I still felt very uncomfortable about the interactions. I contacted the volunteers responsible for training and scheduling to let them know what happened. They apologized and told me that volunteering at Charity's Closet was probably not a good fit for me. I appreciated appreciated their response, but I was disappointed, because I was not told whether the incident would be addressed with the volunteer involved. I am sharing this, because I hope volunteers are treated with patience and respect, particularly those who are new. I hope an experience like mine does not happen to anyone else.

If they do sell, my understanding is that they give you a gift certificate for the store or a check for 40%-50% of sale price. There's a lot of stuff here, especially for babies. There's clothes, carriers, strollers...etc. All the stuff either looks new or IS new. Just from an initial glance, I wouldn't say it's cheap. But it's definitely affordable. I saw a new diaper bag for $99 and also a used dress for $10.

If I could do zero stars I would.... are you kidding me the staff here are HORRIBLE, DISRESPECTFUL, AND ALL AROUND BITCHES.... I asked the red head chick that works there why there large and xl section was basically only lane Bryant which nothing wrong with that company but I am 24 years old and so I was wondering why this specific store had such a bad selection of those sizes and this girl has the audacity to say "we don't get people in here really selling plus sizes........" Um I didn't ask about plus sizes I asked about size large. And who are you to categorize me and put me into a specific size group... so much for women lifting up women... absolutely disgusted.... will NEVER come here again and that says something because I love the uptown in Torrance.... but wow I'm at a loss for words with this location and specifically that girl. And I want to make it clear at this point the issue is not the clothing the issue is what that employee said to me that's the issue. read more
