I came back here again to get some zippers for my bf and me. Unfortunately, they did not have the zippers we needed BUT the workers were super knowledgeable on what we should know to find a replacement elsewhere. I thought it was just fabrics, and yes, they have a wide selection of really well priced fabric (international, even!) But no one could have prepared me for the yarn. Are you serious right now?! All of this yarn I bought was $6??? And it's all vintage 100% wool??? If you're visiting from a ways away and plan to get stuff for any type of fabric project - quilting, sewing, embroidery, patch/button stuff, knitting/crochet - please budget more than an hour unlike what I did. Others have mentioned it, but this is a type of craft thrift store - amongst the other choices in Socal, like Remainders Pasadena or OC Creative Reuse, this IMO is the go-to for value and selection for fabric crafts. Lucky Deluxe is my favorite thrift store for fabric and sewing-related supplies! While I do supplement with new products purchased retail (such as thread) Lucky Deluxe always has quality selections for most of my projects. I purchase at least once a month and always look forward to the newest items posted every week. The best part is that the owners write accurate and detailed, non-flowery descriptions of the fabrics. By contrast, too many other fabric sellers write the bare minimum description like "cotton blend" or something useless like "you'll look like a dream in this amazing fabric we sourced just for you". I live too far away to shop in person, but I did meet Bronwen and Catherine at a vendor booth this summer. No doubt my fan-girling was embarrassing to everyone who was there :-p Also, multiple photos are posted of each item, which is very helpful for us online shoppers. Stumbled upon this place because of a social media post. Pulled up on a Wednesday night with a few hours to spare and idk what happened... I blacked out mid digging through boxes of cute fabric and ended up coming home with 2 bags of stuff plus two bags of polyfill. The prices are great. The selection is more than I could've hoped for. The ladies who work/own there are wonderfully welcoming (... and patient). I may have patroned 3 times in as many weeks despite the 30+ min drive. stopped by briefly to browse the yarn selection and was blown away by the selection and amazing pricing! there's so much to look through, so come earlier than an hour before closing haha. the yarn pricing is based on weight -- $0.25 / oz of synthetic yarn and $0.50 / oz of natural fiber yarn ... and crochet hooks are just $1 each! the two ladies working there were also super nice and welcoming. i will definitely be back later to browse more :-) read more

the store's super small and cute; when i came, the staff members were very sweet and helpful! they were approachable but also not overbearing--i could do my shopping in peace :). they had such a cute and mixed selection of fabrics, buttons, patterns, etc. i went for the buttons and some fabric, but will definitely be visiting in the future for lace trims and patterns. everything was also very inexpensive; i got a good scoop of buttons for only $2 and a lot of the fabrics ranged from $5-10 per yard (or more than a yard)! read more

The owners have lots of professional sewing experience and give great advice! They have burn tested donated fabric for us to see if it is all natural or a blend. There are always inexpensive vintage items which are fun to look at regardless of whether I want to take them home. The sets of vintage buttons are especially useful for those who do make or alter clothes. It's a really cheerful, well organized and clean space. This is a specialty thrift store that only carries sewing, crafting and related items. They have a great selection! Often, they seem to have things that have been on my mental to buy list for some time. As they only take donations and don't buy their stock, products are always at a much better price than I'll get at a regular store. Sometimes they are as low as around 5-20 percent of the regular cost, even when still new in the package. Elastic was a dollar a foot the last time I bought it there, any width! I always find something I want and always find a bargain or ten! If that's not enough, Bronwyn and Catherine are extremely knowlegeable and helpful (and nice). It's great- loads of flat fold quilting cotton prints and solids, piles of fat quarters for $2, zippers in all shapes and sizes for a buck each and vintage patterns galore! This shop collects craft, fabric and knitting supplies from people giving items away and resells the hood stuff for a song. The staff are pleasant and friendly and happy to help.
