So I went in today and saw a guy purchase this Lenox nativity which was priced at 24.99 (a steal!) But then I see clothes...CLOTHES on those cage things priced at over 100 bucks! How does that even make sense??? And don't even get me started on the 14.99 starbucks red cups that you get for free with the purchase of a holiday drink. Who's in charge of pricing? Cause ya'll dropped the ball.

Woohoo been here only a handful of times since I've lived here in YL for 7 years 10.20.22

The Yorba Linda location has been raising their prices a lot, making this less of a value.

The best place to shop! I wouldn't change Savers for a Goodwill or Salvation Army. Best prices & good items are found.

Volunteer Experience…read more I was a new volunteer, and unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience. While I was processing donations in the back, the woman in charge grabbed my hand and thrust it aside. It was because I reached for a pile she was working on. I found the physical contact upsetting and inappropriate. I did not know her and was new to the organization. She apologized afterward, which I acknowledge, but the incident still has affected me negatively. I was new and made some mistakes, and I understand that this may have been frustrating. However, I found that multiple times she spoke to me to be quite stern. She eventually softened her tone, but I still felt very uncomfortable about the interactions. I contacted the volunteers responsible for training and scheduling to let them know what happened. They apologized and told me that volunteering at Charity's Closet was probably not a good fit for me. I appreciated appreciated their response, but I was disappointed, because I was not told whether the incident would be addressed with the volunteer involved. I am sharing this, because I hope volunteers are treated with patience and respect, particularly those who are new. I hope an experience like mine does not happen to anyone else.

I do wish they would stop this new trend of organizing by size. Half the time, stuff is mixed in anyway so I have to go through it all. It was much easier to do this by color! Also, the new sections don't seem to make much sense. There will be some dresses in one section going from XS-XL, then the XS starts all over again with more dresses. I understand they're trying to organize them by casual/fancy/long sleeve, etc, but it doesn't work when people don't file them correctly. I'm also BEGGING them to stop using those black box "air freshener" perfume machines on the walls. Some of your customers are allergic to scents (me) and it's not fun to get an instant headache and runny nose inside the store. Unfortunately the clothes reek of it even after washing them several times. Please just clean the store instead of covering up smells with more smells. On the plus side, the employees here rock! They're nice in a chill way that doesn't feel fake or customer servicey. They're always busy stocking, and they don't stand around talking (this is a major issue at the Brea store). Dressing rooms are always clean but they're super stringent about the clothing limit of 5 at this store. It can get a little annoying to keep switching stuff out. 8 items would be more reasonable? I do wish they were a little more strict about the 15 min time limit because families of 5 will go in and take 45 min. There's only 2 dressing rooms so sometimes I just try stuff on over my clothes. Overall, this location would be perfect with a couple small changes! Side note, I love the parking lot here, which is huge and always has spaces.

I feel bad for the employees who have to inhale that endocrine-disrupting chemical all day. The store is also super crowded - people had to work hard to navigate around each other - all because GW corporate decided to waste prime retail space with aisles of cheap new products I could find at the Dollar Store. I don't come to goodwill to buy paper towels, guys. Stick to used merchandise - that's why we are here.

I came in to Uptown Cheapskate for the first time today to sell some of my clothes, shoes, and purses. I brought my items in a trash bag and they said they don't accept items in trash bags so next time use a reusable bag. I wasn't told on the phone and didn't see this on the website. They told me to fold my clothes nicely into the laundry basket. I put my items in a laundry basket they had behind the counter. They gave me a 10% off coupon for any purchase I made today in store. I walked around the store while I waited for them to price my items. I was called over for the payout of my items and they bought 5 items out of a large laundry basket size of items I brought in. I'm disappointed because I had namebrand items new with tags and gently used namebrand items that they did not buy, I brought mostly summer items! I was frustrated because a lot of the items in the store were way more beat up than my items. They threw all my clothes into the basket all a mess! I was told to go to the register to pay for the shoes I found, and I waited a couple minutes while making eye contact with an associate at the purse counter, who continued to ignore me as I was waiting to checkout. He finally came over and charged me out and I had the coupon next to the shoes and after being charged out I asked if he use the coupon and he said no, I didn't see it, it's too late. You can use it next time. I went to gather my items to take out to the car and I did use one of their laundry baskets to take all the items they wouldn't take back to my car and the door sensor went off. I went back to the sell item counter and the associate told me he forgot to tell me that there was a security tag on the basket. The employees were very chatty with each other and I feel like the customer service was neglected heavily for my experience. 2 stars because I did find a pair of shoes but I would give a 1 star for customer service.

As I was checking out, I was informed by the cashier that Goodwill has a no tag, no sale policy. They wouldn't be able to sell it to me as the object would need to be repriced. Mind you, the manager was on-site. He immediately turns down any idea of repricing that item. What's the point of being a manager? Also, it still stinks like a cloying, artificial laundry scent. They still haven't fixed that. Needless to say, this is the last time I will be shopping at any Goodwill.
