"The Second City: Comedian Rhapsody" consists of sassy sketch comedy, songs and, of course, their trademark improvisation. They made up skits and jokes right on the spot. Delightful. Unfortunately, he never appeared. What made the experience even more disappointing was that the theater apparently knew in advance that Javi Benitez would not be performing but continued to advertise him anyway. Customers were not informed of the substitution until just before the show began, after everyone had already arrived and paid for their tickets. Had I known that the advertised performer would not be appearing, I would not have attended. Continuing to advertise a performer who is no longer scheduled and waiting until the last minute to tell customers is misleading and shows a lack of respect for patrons. The replacement performer may have been talented, but that's not who I purchased a ticket to see. Customers deserve accurate advertising and timely notice of significant changes to a show's lineup. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with little confidence in Smoke & Mirrors Theater's business practices. I hope they improve their communication with customers and consider offering refunds or other compensation when advertised performers are unable to appear. I cannot recommend attending future shows unless the theater is more transparent about changes to its advertised lineup.

(my dude's mind likes to wander off track at times) Gary breaks the lessons down into short segments. (1 week it'll be chords, the next week strumming and sight reading) Each week is broken down so that it's easy to understand but not too easy that it'll take away the challenge. I have Nothing but positive feedback for this place ! Bad business!! I signed my 11yr old daughter up for hip hop classes that started this fall. I asked the ower Ginny why the girls were so good, thats when she told me all the girls started learning 2 rountines during the summer class. So they had about a 10 week head start. I wasn't made aware of that or I wouldn't have never signed my daughter up. Why would i want her to be behind. I was sent 2 videos for her to try and catch up and learn on her own but these videos were fast paced not step by step. Why does my daughter have to work harder and learn these moves on her own? Before signing up and taking my $, the ower should have told me this. She was not accomodating at all. No apology from her. Didn't offer any extra help. Said I would have to pay $30 for a private 30min lesson. She kept on saying that my daughter will catch up, that she will be fine but realistically she might not ever be able to catch up. Because by the 2nd class they added on a new move to the other moves she hasn't even learned yet. Dance should be fun and enjoyable. All the girls should be on the same page, not 1 student trying to play catch up by herself. It made her feel outta place. My daughter has been dancing for 6 yrs. It's unfortunate her school closed during covid so we had to search for another. I took her out after the 2nd class and the owner wasn't too happy when I told her. I said that maybe I will just sign her up next summer so they can learn the routines together. She had the nerve to say that my daughter would be really behind then and it seemed like she didn't want her there. Wowwww ok lady. Why would i ever put my daughter somewhere she isnt made to feel like she belongs. The registration fee and first month's payment was never refunded. Such an aweful experience. She is not accompodating, helpful or care about what is best for the kids. For her recital, the owner was so rude, making us take the tights out of the packaging to hold up to a UV light. You see, if we bought the wrong brand of tights they would glow in the light. Are you kidding me! they were 4 year olds, who cares if they don't all have the same tights.
