The material was a little milder and the laughs were there, but I can't say it had the gut-busting moments like the old days. The show had a full lineup. Opening acts included R&B performances from Lady of Rage and Lil' Mo, plus comedians Mark Curry, Tommy Davidson, Melanie Camacho, Red Grant, Zoo Man, and Corey B. The only downside? Folks in my section were constantly getting up for something -- up, down, up, down all night -- which made it hard to stay focused on the stage. Still, it was an enjoyable night of laughs overall. And a little bonus... I found a free parking meter several blocks away, so I didn't have to pay for parking. Always a win.

Once inside there were plenty of people to help guide us to our seats. The seats were comfortable and I had enough leg room. I had a good view of the wrestling ring. Some of the patrons near me were obnoxiously loud while their parents left them to drink, but I can't blame that on the stadium. My husband and I ate before coming to avoid the high costs of food and drink. Overall, I had a nice time and would come back to watch another show.

*Do not stay here*…read more The good: -Breakfast -The kind workers clearly being hamstrung by poor management. The bad: -Management -State of the room -BED BUGS BEING LEFT UNTREATED Recently stayed. Spent our first night locked out of the room because the lock died and the key needed to unlock the door is kept in the managers locked office at night. Spent the second night packing our things in trash bags and driving 5 hours back home after finding bed bugs in our room. Along with this, the room was trashed. All photos below. Went back and forward with guest services and the manager only to get a partial refund and a small amount of points. We had to discard hundreds of dollars in items because they couldn't be properly handled to ensure bed bugs didn't enter our home. The manager advised that someone else came in and checked for bed bugs and didn't find any, so the room was fine. THE BED BUG WE FOUND, KILLED AND TOOK A PHOTO OF WAS LEFT ON THE COUNTER. Probably overlooked like many other things in the hotel. They aren't treating it for bed bugs even with a known case. Don't risk it.

This was the ceremony site of a friends wedding and it was a great choice. Very cute little cathedral with very high ceilings that connected at an angle. The father speaks Lithuanian so he can perform a dual language ceremony for you (and apparently they have classes in the language here as well). Beyond the cathedral this place is huge! Classrooms, bathrooms, a bathroom with a tub and shower, a kitchen, a beautician on site, a banquet hall, and a dining room that leads out onto a lawn with extra seating. We had the rehearsal dinner here with traditional Lithuanian food, wine and beer catered in (so alcohol is allowed). Definitely a place to keep in mind if you are looking for traditional Lithuanian. i sveikata!

The Rivermen are the AHL farm team for the NHL's St. Louis Blues and they play at the Peoria Civic Center. These games are community and family oriented. When you enter the center, there are activities for the kids (face painting, balloon animals and bouncy castles). Between periods, there are contests and more stuff for the kids. The concessions are pretty standard and the prices aren't exorbitant. Street parking isn't too bad and there are several parking garages in the area. Go Rivermen!

For $25 I received an on the glass seat for an exciting game against the Oklahoma City Barons. Best $25 I have ever spent! Multiple times players would smash into the glass a foot in front of me and nearly knock me out of my seat. The beer selections were good and cheap. I did notice that I was the only person in the arena without Rivermen gear. I immediately went to the pro shop for some apparel. $60 for an adult sweatshirt!? Holy cow. Luckily, I can fit into a child's size for $30. My only disappointment was the false representation by the mascot. The pictures show a tough ship captain after a long day on the river. Then, out skates a fluffy overweight bear? Why not change the team name to Peoria Overweight Bears? Does Peoria even have bears?
