Best liquor store in a 50 mile radius easily. The people that work there I have gotten to know closely and they are good people. I have a bad back and they always go out of their way to help me so if you want to get the lowest prices and the top service I recommend this place, and introduce yourself to Brad the owner. He's a guitar player. He's a cool and very very nice guy. They all are. And they will do their best for special orders I like a certain type of beer and they have found it and always have it on stock and I appreciate it so if you're from this area, I don't see any other place worth going to then..the Uptown Package Store in Athol, Massachusetts. read more

I randomly came across this place in my travels and I was very impressed with their whiskey selection. They had a lot of harder to find items (not a lot of allocated, but hard to find) which made me spend more money than I was planning. Hey, bourbon hunting is a labor of love. Been a regular customer here for years. Was willing to order a (locally) rare brand I prefer because I asked. Really leaving a review because of the bad reviews here. Both bad reviewers either (1) did not show up when they said they would - (PS - cel phones exist now) or (2) demanded a lower price because (allegedly) another place did it. Zero stars should be given to this establishment though not an option. Avoid this place if customer service means anything to you! The owner and his son have zero customer service skills. Called on a Thursday to order a keg for a party the following weekend, called back on Tuesday to confirm the order was still on track and was told it would be delivered the next day. Wasn't able to get there the next day but instead the day after that. Arrived to be told there was no keg, was sold to another customer. The son was not willing to help resolve the issue other than placing our name on a list for another order and consistently tried to walk away from us. Took our empty keg at that time and refused to give us anything in writing that it was taken without return of deposit due to another keg needing to be ordered. I called the next morning to speak with the owner and discuss our customer service experience, he was WORSE than the son. i was told to stop talking several times, was not offered any resolution other than to place another order and repeatedly told it's just Beer. I couldn't even get confirmation that they would ensure the issue didn't happen with the second order. When I tried to mention the experience with his son the day before he didn't want to hear anything I had to say after their error was made, I was told again to stop talking, be respectful (which was not at all how I was being treated) and again that it's just Beer. The fact that this experience to them was about "just beer" and not how they treat customers and resolve their mistakes goes to show what kind of people are running this place. When a customer does their due diligence to place an order, follow up on the order which again was ordered for a party that it now won't be available for, and all they could say was sorry we sold it doesn't show that they care or will correct their error. I was spoken down to throughout the entire conversation like my issue didn't matter and will never do business with this establishment again. read more

owner is very rude!spent about 300 plus mo there past yr on lottery and spirits went in to buy 12 pk was out so took 2 six packs and asked for 12 pk price because he was out due to lack of not knowing how to order for store gave me an tttude very rude i told him other places will honor 12 pk price he didn t care told him i won t be back he basically said good!guy has no knowledge on how to treat people and to be honest his prices are highest around hopefully his business fails! read more
