Really enjoy this place. It has a cornucopia of products not to mention a great environment that they have set up, inside and out! Fantastic deli with a variety of sandwiches and treats. What's also incredible is there 60 varieties of olive oil that is a gourmet delight! We had a Hurricane in a spinach wrap and a Cleghorn on white bread Hurricane consists of Cajun Turkey, Lettuce, Tomato, Pepper Jack and Cheese and Mayo Cleghorn consists of Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Cheddar cheese and Mayo Both sandwiches were very good. Recent experience was different than normal. Typically my wife and I enjoy the good variety of sandwiches and other goods they provide. However, today she ordered a salad with a scoop of chicken salad. It was less than stellar; the "scoop" was approx 2 tablespoons of chicken salad. My Nash sandwich was good. After revisiting Mill No 3 so my partner could purchase his much loved corned beef and turkey at their deli ( which he can't find as good quality anywhere else). I realized that if one does not have something positive to say, they should probably keep it to themselves. So on that note I would like to say if I ever opened a store I would want it to look as beautiful as this one! Every step you take through each aisle, you are greated with strategically placed treasures that keep you searching for more until you are sure you have searched every nook and cranny. The owners have obviously worked very hard on the presentation as well as only selling the best quality items. I even found some great deals that I will add some photos of. Wonderful little find is a hidden gem in this otherwise empty area. Gifts, snacks, full deli, coffee counter, with olive oil and balsamic galore. A friendly staff in a rustic barn atmosphere. Thankfully open on Mondays, unlike so many others. We sampled and purchased a few olive oils and balsamics, so it was a tasty and entertaining stop for us! My girlfriend and I come here just about each weekend, and it's become a welcomed part of our routine. Pros: -Great sandwiches and sandwich variety -Very good selection of things to check out within the store (food stuffs, snacks, jewelry, etc.) -The river out back and outdoor seating are always pleasant and clean Cons: -Rather expensive for sandwiches (we buy two sandwiches, a small bag of cheapskate and a drink each and it comes to about $30) -The stuff inside can be pretty expensive too, nothing I would impulse buy simply because it's a bit too much -Some of the fresh market stuff looks a little wilted or worse for wear (I recognize it's all farm fresh food and from local spots, but to pay double for vegetables that are less in quality isn't what I'm here for) Overall, definitely worth a nice little lunch time getaway. read more

We took our sandwiches, homemade magic cookie bars and drinks to the stream side picnic area out bank for a summer picnic. This place is a gem! We were playing a soccer college showcase nearby and only had a little time between games to grab lunch. This place hit the spot and more! My wife and I were split. My rollup sandwich was fine, Her's was on "fresh" bread that must have been a day or two old because it was dry and not soft at all. We should have complained but we had to get somewhere and didn't have time. If you order a sandwitch, I would ask how fresh the bread is. read more

We stopped in for lunch while driving around today. They have picnic tables off on the side where there is a beautiful view of a little river with a small dam. Sadly, the sandwiches were a real disappointment. I got the Boulder which was chicken salad with apples and Havarti cheese. The white bread was completely dry and stale and there was no taste to the sandwich at all. The chicken salad tasted like it came out of a premade package and the Havarti cheese had no flavor whatsoever.The only thing I ate was the pickle. My husband had a tuna salad with onions and peppers and it was a little better, but the tuna didn't have any taste at all basically the peppers and onions gave the sandwich some flavor and his bread was also stale. Mill No 3 is a hidden gem of Fitchburg. It's another one of the places you don't expect to find. This place gets 5 stars because it is simply always delicious. The bread is always fresh and my personal favorite is the boulder sandwich. It's a chicken salad mix, with cheese, green apples and lettuce and it is simply amazing. I get it on the white baquet roll! They have so many different types of chips as well. No lie I had Mill No 3, 3 times one week because it's that good. Their sandwiches are named for local places/things (Coggshall, Cleghorn, etc.) which is a cute touch. My fave is the South Side: Grilled chicken, roasted veggies, Monterey jack cheese and lemon dill mayo. Mmmmmmm good! They are a farmstand (as the name mentions) so they have fresh produce, baked goods, charming outdoor decorations, locally produced specialty foods, and more.
