Wow What a great studio!! I found this studio through their great reviews online so decided to give them a try while vacationing in the Hamptons and so glad I did! I could tell right from the start that it was going to be a great experience! When I called to book my first session the front desk was so thorough and made sure to ask me of any injuries I have ( I only have minor ones but still important for instructors to know) AND what my goals were with my pilates sessions!! it made me feel like they were really taking the time to properly match me with an instructor rather than just fit me into their schedule. When I came in my instructor already knew about my injuries and what I wanted to work on and was able to prepare my session ahead of time based off of that information. It is these things of going above and beyond and making me feel like the studio is really working to make my experience all it can be that makes Uptown so great!! And made me want to give back to them and actually take the time to write this review , which I seldom do for places. read more

After years of going to Uptown Pilates in Manhattan 4-5 times a week - I still get sore, see changes in my body and am challenged to push myself harder. i'm so glad it has opened in the Hamptons and couldn't recommend it more highly. The teachers are all excellent, approachable, down to earth and attentive. Everyone has their own subtle focus - if you don't click with one teacher try another. They really have a strong staff. The standard workout gets you sweating and your heart racing but will be slow and medative at the same time. It's an amazingly sustainable workout AND it kicks your butt. My favorite right now is Tessa but I love Kirsi and Jennifer too. Tessa's sessions aren't for the delicate though... If you're looking for something that strengthens every part of your body but keeps that muscle lean, improves your coordination and flexibility and even helps your back, joints and posture...this is amazing. I am so excited that Uptown Pilates has set up shop in Sag Harbor. Mika Street, the owner, and the Uptown Pilates brand has the reputation of being THE BEST Pilates studio in New York. Mika is a great, friendly and highly respected business owner in the Pilates world and she only hires the best of the best! The studio is precious - with its African accents, hard wood floors and floor to ceiling windows. The instruction is top-notch and the location is PERFECT - coffee across the street, followed by Pilates at Uptown, then lunch a few stores down and then a stroll to the beach. Wonderful. read more

I feel like I am following Uptown Pilates everywhere I go! I spend part of the summer in Sag Harbor and made my first appointment for a private last weekend. I have been going to the studios in NYC for a couple of weeks and was excited to see a location in Sag Harbor! The instructors are amazing! I worked with Yavanna and she was beyond knowledgeable, she really helped zero in on my problems and let me say... I have a lot of work to do! I love this location, its intimate and friendly. I'm extremely excited to be able to continue my workouts this summer in the Hamptons. I have been training at Uptown Pilates on West 72nd Street in Manhattan for years and it has truly changed my life for the better. Not only do I feel stronger, my body has completely changed and I no longer have back pain. I never have to worry about who my instructor is because they are all fabulous-- which allows me to be flexible with my workout times. I've taken private pilates lessons at various studios in Manhattan and finally (!!!) found one that I love (professional, and CLEAN). Uptown Pilates on Madison is amazing. The best part is they also have a studio in Sag Harbor. Like many New Yorkers I spend most of the summer in the Hamptons so it's a relief to know that I'll still be able to get in a great workout. I have been going to Uptown Pilates in Sag Harbor all summer and I am in love! I have always been a believer in the benefits of Pilates but the instructors at this studio have turned me into even more of a believer!! Like instructors at so many other studios they do not just bark out the routines like robots, instead they customize each and every workout to what will be best for YOU specifically on that day. Recently was invited out to Sag Harbor by a friend of mine, and she decided to make us both appointments at this studio. Had a really friendly instructor named Kirsi, who was very patient with me.
