Just take a look from the sidewalk. The Devil's House is the famous house from the movie Hocus Pocus with the Sanderson Sisters Bette Middller, Sarah Jessica Parker & Kathy Najimy. The movie was filmed in multiple locations including Whittier & Altadena California, Salem Massachusetts & Warner Ranch. This is the home where in the movie you meet the Devil - Gary Marshall & Penny Marshall from the TV Show Laverne & Shirley. There are also Trick or Treating Scenes filmed here as well with several houses right next door. There is also a park across the street you can check out as well. You can also drive by East Whittier Middle School which was Jacob Bailey High School in the movie. Some Interior Shots were filmed there on 14421 Whittier Blvd. To make it worth your trip check out some other Cool Local Spots in Whittier. Back to the Future Mill Valley High School was filmed @ Whittier High School on 12417 Philadelphia St. King Richard's Antiques is one of the largest antique shops in California. It is Fantastic with multiple levels with over 60,000 Square Feet of Vintage Merchandise. We spent an hour and 50 min to get to the shop today! So we make the trip we get there and start to setup when one of the guys tells us that they are about to close. I then go up to the counter and the man said they were about to close. I told him we had just driven here so my 6 yr old girl could race our cars!! HE DIDN'T GIVE A ($!#&) HE MADE IT VERY CLEAR EVEN THOUGHT THERE WERE 5 GUYS IN THERE WORKING ON THEIR CARS WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SPEND EVEN 10 MIN ON A TRACK!! ARE YOU (F#$%&!) KIDDING ME!! NOW MY LITTLEGIRL IS HEARTBROKEN AND IN TEARS!! . I was ready to spend at least 300 to bring all my drag and other cars upto date! It is sad to see that a shop that should be making new customers has just lost a family of 5. TO THE OWNER OF THIS SHOP! I owned a hobby/slot car shop for years. I would NEVER have sent a customers child out the door crying!! You can't afford to loose the young ones they are the one the get the parents to spend money!!

Everyone was so happy and welcoming. I recommend to get there earliest so you can get a good spot so you can overlook the water The music could have been a little bit louder because it was hard to hear But the live performers were awesome I wish there was more interactive activities. I feel like everyone was just sitting around, waiting to launch their lanterns, but it was still a beautiful experience. I will most definitely go again next year

Decorating our lanterns, enjoying the atmosphere, and watching the lanterns on the water together made for a great family memory. That part was awesome. But everything else? Not so much. Parking was excruciatingly bad. There were only about three people directing cars at the entrance, so it took forever just to get in and park. If you arrive early, you end up parking farthest away from the actual event and have a long walk. Getting out after the event was even worse. With basically one exit, traffic barely moved. We were stuck about an hour just to get out. RIDICULOUS. My advice: park outside the park if possible and walk in. The food situation wasn't much better. They had plenty of food trucks, but everything was overly expensive, the lines were long, and you're looking at around a 30-minute wait for food. Another tip: bring your own food and drinks. You'll save money and a lot of time. Overall, the lantern experience itself and the quality time with my family were memorable. I'm glad we experienced it together. But the parking situation, traffic control, expensive food, and long waits really brought the overall experience down.
