I love Color Me Mine, and this location is one of my favorites to go to! It does get really busy,…read moreso a reservation (or at least calling ahead to see if they can hold seats on the day of) is pretty much a must. The Brea location has more seating than other locations I've been to, which makes it a bit more forgiving if you try to do a walk-in. Reservations are made online and cost $5/person, which goes towards your total. From a large palette, you choose five colors. Sometimes if a friend and I want to use the same color, we'll just put it on one person's plate, which ends up giving us more color options overall! There's also a guide on each table with tips for different ceramic painting techniques. There's a cup of various styles and sizes of paintbrushes, and you can also request for a thin bottle for writing or detail-work. You get two hours to paint, but I've never felt rushed with either picking my piece or during the actual painting process. The staff here are always so attentive, courteous, and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. I've noticed that when it gets super busy and you need a paint refill and someone hasn't come by, don't be afraid to raise your hand or walk over to someone, everyone is super friendly. They have a great selection of pottery, and you just pay the price of your piece plus the flat studio fee. The space is clean, and I love that they also offer outdoor seating. Since it's right in the middle of downtown Brea, it's fun to people watch and enjoy the vibe outside on a warm day. They'll occasionally have special events or deals too, like student nights with a discounted studio fee. With its central location in downtown Brea, it's such a perfect spot to catch up with friends, celebrate a birthday, or have a cute date!

It is five dollars per person to book a table either inside or outside. $15 we used to reserve the table went towards our final order. the ladies that All helped us were absolutely fantastic! They were so sweet to my daughter and very helpful about giving advice on how to paint our pieces. It is definitely a little pricey for the experience. It is $10 per child and $12 per adult for the supplies and then of course the cost of whatever you choose to paint. We ended up spending about $85 for two pieces. my daughter absolutely loved the experience and really it was very fun for our little family. I definitely recommend to give this place a shot if you're into painting and especially if you have Littles, who are very creative.

I would love to volunteer myself too if I lived closer! Aside from events like the open house and summer camps for kids, the best way to get acquainted with the Little Parrot Farm is through their affordable tours on Saturdays. While it may be frustrating for some that you can't just go in and see the animals any day, it really is in their best interest that a staff member is there to supervise these interactions. Too many places allow visitors to harass their animals or feed them random stuff that isn't good for them. And if an animal reacts defensively, it can be very difficult and sad to handle the aftermath. It's also amazing just seeing the same animals every time, and not being worried that anyone is going to be taken to slaughter. My favorite friends are Andy the alpaca, the two sweet pigs, and Maya the rescued border collie. I don't know the names of some of the newer pups, but they were all super friendly. They sell T shirts with their most popular residents featured on them that make for great souvenirs to take home. The farm part of the property is also beautiful and abundant. They sell fresh veggies online for pickup that look amazing, but that I haven't had a chance to try yet. Can't wait to come back for the next event!

Parking is in front near the entrance, weekdays it's $4 /hr but free on the weekends. Admission is just a $5 suggested donation to support the arboretum. Even though it was still warm, there were plenty of shaded areas to stay cool along with benches that were great for relaxing. There was also a breeze so that helped. Thought about spending an hour there but glad I paid for two hours of parking because I ended up staying for 1 & 1/2 hours. One of my favorite moments were simply sitting on a bench listening to all the birds. Hopefully you can hear them on the video. This is a peaceful place to unwind and definitely encourage you to visit.

I came on a really hot day, so I only saw about half of the place, but it was such a nice time by the ponds, creeks, and little lake. Beautiful wildlife to admire, too -- turtles, ducks, fish, and tons of dragonflies and other lovely creatures peacefully about. We spent a lot of time admiring a group of docile ducks and enjoying the shade by the water. They also have an online plant shop for those interested in gardening (with a great ongoing deal). Planning on purchasing from there and picking up so I have an excuse to stop by again. Loved my time here. Expect to enjoy yours too!

The machines we played were 2 coins per try, and each coin is $1, so it came out to about $2 per play. They also have some 1-coin machines, but I personally didn't see any plushies in those that I wanted. One thing I thought was really cool is that after you win, you can either take the plushies home or redeem them for points toward other prizes behind the counter. Such a fun concept! I ended up spending around $20 and won all of these little plushies for my kitties. Definitely not the cheapest way to get cat toys but we had so much fun that it felt worth it. Cute, interactive, and honestly a really fun date night activity! Asking them to move the stuffies is always no problem! Out of all the claw machine spots we take our kids they always ask to come back here. The pricing is pretty reasonable as well. We always try to stick to a budget of $20 which gives us 22 tokens on each visit. I just want to say thank you to all the staff here for allowing us to walk away as winners! Make sure your whole group is together before start time so you all play at the same time and no one misses out. Our group was a bunch of 5/6/7 year olds and the group they played against was 10-12 year olds so I felt like that was a little unfair but no one got seriously hurt so that's all you can ask for. My least favorite part was the arcade. Some of the games weren't working so that's a bust. Our kids were too young to use the VR game so it would have been nice if they got to ride the bumper cars twice instead of just losing out on that. On top of that there was only one person staffing the VR game, the mini bowling and the bumper cars so it was like 10-15 minutes between each option and there were only maybe 8 bumper cars so when there's a line the kids had to wait about 20 minutes just to ride the bumper cars. There were lines for the bumper cars and the VR so no one used the bowling because there wasn't enough staff. The pizza was fine, I believe you can order other stuff outside the party pizza if you want.
