What a cute place! When I arrived on a Thursday night it was POPPIN and they had live music which…read morewas a super fun vibe. You go to the counter to order and then find a spot where you can. They had plenty of outside area (a patio with seating and some open space where you can enjoy a drink while waiting to find a seat somewhere) which was perfect for me because I got a cocktail and Togo food. Lots of people had raved about the Massaman katsu curry so I had to try it! It did not disappoint! At first I was disappointed to see how full the bowl was but the amount was PLENTY! I was stuffed after a few corn and about half the curry plate. I am so happy I tried this place out! Will definitely be trying it again when I'm back in town!

I also really appreciated that they had hard kombucha on tap, which was a unique and welcome option for me. I spent most of my time out on the outdoor patio, which is very nice and was filled with lots of people hanging out, making for a really lively and fun environment. However, my biggest complaint about this place was that the food was pretty bad; while I understand that it's primarily just a brewery, I was still quite disappointed by the quality, especially since the menu items were not cheap. Come for the beers, skip the food and same yourself some dough figuratively and literally.

Trail Life Brewing - The Swiss melt with fries. This was the best "grilled cheese" ever. The apples and bacon jam on it was absolutely delicious.

Stopped in here tonight and loved it!…read more When we first walked in the owners Scott and Juli happily greeted us and immediately made us feel like a part of the Wild Horse Wine & Whiskey family. The ambience is awesome...décor is western/rustic meets comfy. The cozy leather couch and two side chairs in front of the fireplace is such a nice space! Their wine & whiskey menu was very enticing, but we opted for some tasty Chardonnay. We didn't order any food, but they've got some yummy looking charcuterie boards...next time for sure! Overall I really dug this place and wholeheartedly welcome them to the Montrose community! Y'all know how much I love to support my local businesses! :-) Check them out! You won't be disappointed!

That's not an exaggeration, I timed it. Their menu has an extensive list of Colorado whiskeys but no descriptions of the flavor profile. I asked for a recommendation, and without asking for any of my preferences they recommended one in the cheapest / one star section. There wasn't much of an explanation behind their suggestion and no tasting notes. Not surprisingly, it wasn't great. I had planned to stay awhile for a few drinks but between that and the awkward empty vibe, I waited (another long wait) for the check and left. I hate to leave a bad review for a small business but this one just missed the mark completely.

I told her I was taking my time choosing because my hotel room wasn't ready. She sneered at me "why don't you go to the library?" I almost walked out but instead bought the wine I was holding. She rudely checked me out, asked where I was from, and glared at me as I walked out. Sorry, I'll take my chances elsewhere, not patronizing this business ever again.

Most tiny,…read moreprivately owned liquor stores I've been to in Texas are dirty, smokey, under-stocked, and seriously sketchy... but this little spot in Ridgway is sparkling clean, well-organized, surprisingly well-stocked with great products, and so pleasant overall. There's a great selection of local product here, and I was able to find several types of hard ciders brewed in Colorado. Plenty of beer, both craft and your bigger name brands, great liquor options covering all your basics, and an awesome array of wine (several whites were also available cold, if you preferred). I'd say the prices here are a bit higher than average since you're in a touristy mountain town, but that's to be expected. It's another cute little mountain-village shop, like most of the surrounding businesses. We decided to walk across the street to Ridway Liquors to quickly grab a few things while Adam's family was buying fishing gear for the next morning. Adam and I were watching Adam's 5 year old cousin (Lina) at this moment in time, so she went with us (I don't normally take small children with me into liquor stores, don't worry). Anyway, the woman at the register was so sweet and offered Lina a sucker from the big bowl on the counter, and let her take 2 more to give to her siblings. I really enjoyed the laid back, family-friendly, and inviting atmosphere. There is nothing sketchy about Ridway Liquors. Great little spot and I look forward to returning sometime.
