Great experience here! We came for a late dinner just before closing. I had the burrata salad which was great with huge, fried hunks of burrata. My love had the rice bowl which he enjoyed. We also shared a ginormous portion of fries. Service is counter but friendly and accommodated a last minute request even after we had paid. You get a number and food is delivered to your table. Quick turnaround on the food. They advise of last call for food and beer. Atmosphere is fun with outdoor themes like a large kayak and trail like signs. Outdoor seating on their patio as well. Low key and chill with good food and beer; everything I love about a brewery! Street parking so you may want to allow for some extra time to find a space. Meters are free in the evening. Colorado Burger was AMAZING! Went out for lunch today and my boyfriend ordered the Colorado Burger and said it was the best burger he has ever had! He also got a pear and rosemary mocktail and it was fantastic. Heavy on the rosemary flavor but he loved that. You order at the counter and find your seat from there. I was immediately impressed by the atmosphere, as the place definitely has great vibes, and I loved that they had a wide variety of different beers on tap to choose from. I also really appreciated that they had hard kombucha on tap, which was a unique and welcome option for me. I spent most of my time out on the outdoor patio, which is very nice and was filled with lots of people hanging out, making for a really lively and fun environment. However, my biggest complaint about this place was that the food was pretty bad; while I understand that it's primarily just a brewery, I was still quite disappointed by the quality, especially since the menu items were not cheap. What a cute place! When I arrived on a Thursday night it was POPPIN and they had live music which was a super fun vibe. You go to the counter to order and then find a spot where you can. They had plenty of outside area (a patio with seating and some open space where you can enjoy a drink while waiting to find a seat somewhere) which was perfect for me because I got a cocktail and Togo food. Lots of people had raved about the Massaman katsu curry so I had to try it! It did not disappoint! At first I was disappointed to see how full the bowl was but the amount was PLENTY! We were visiting downtown Grand Junction, CO, and happened upon Trail Life Brewing. It caught our eye because they were jammed with people. Also because my husband and I are big outdoor nature people. They have a nice craft beer selection including two of my favorite beers of all time, Oskar Blues Death by Coconut , and Left Hand Brewing's Milk Stout. For my food, I had the Brussels sprouts and the katsu banh mi. The Brussels sprouts: definitely a must. So good. Perfectly seasoned. The portion is shareable. The katsu banh mi. I made mine vegan. They replaced the chicken with tofu steaks. The do tofu steaks were thick. The French bread was soft. The flavors were great. It came with a side of fries or a salad. I opted for the salad. The salad was a good size. The Mexican lager (porch pounder) is made by them. It is light. They did offer a lime which I recommend. The slush was bourbon type. It wasn't overly sweet. Parking is street parking, but you may have to walk a few blocks. A lot of their dishes can be made vegan or vegetarian. The outside is dog friendly. Everyone we encountered was helpful. read more

This restaurant amd brewery was a fun and welcoming environment appropriate for all ages. We ordered the Chicken Katsu sandwich and the Pategonia, Turkey with several toppings. All dishes are available in gluten or vegan options. We shared a salad and fries which are side option for the sandwich and burger dishes. Other maneu items look tasty and our food was flavorful and savory. There are also several wonderful choices for beer, wine and cider. We enjoyed the Double Donkle, Imperial Saison, Irish Red and Crest Trail IPA. Beers were very tasty and great to sampling of local beers. Great selections. Much of it is stand alone restaurant level great food. The dishes weired best were the Falafel Wrap and Katsu Bahn Mi. The tofu cutlets in the BahnMi were substantial and satisfying with tasty other items in the sandwich. It was my favorite item at this meal, with the falafel being by next favorite. I really liked that the menu is clearly marked which items can be made vegan on request, and when placing the order theircrew is happily accommodating of such requests. Legit... the beer, the food, the ambiance. And I'm a snob when it comes to all 3. I tried the juicy IPA, the stout, and the black IPA... they don't charge for tastings (I would have tried more had I not had a hangry 11 year old at my side.). Went with the black IPA and my husband had the Mexican lager- also solid. The food: not a single bad bite. I had the bahn mi, my husband had the chicken katsu and our son had the burger. I was fortunate to try all three after using my best puppy dog eyes and eyeing longingly at their food. Sooooooooo good. Gluten free buns! YAY!! And the fries! This was our second time coming back--and definitely not the last! I love that they have great cider options (finally, something I can actually drink!). You really can't go wrong with their food. I had the Trail Burger with a gluten-free bun and it was delicious. So flavorful and satisfying. Super fun local place with awesome food and brews . Stopped here with my family and they accommodated our party of 9 no problem! The decor and atmosphere are top notch. It may look small but it's bigger than you think. I had the trail burger with fries and it was fantastic! They do the little things right and that makes a big difference.
