I was immediately impressed by the atmosphere, as the place definitely has great vibes, and I loved that they had a wide variety of different beers on tap to choose from. I also really appreciated that they had hard kombucha on tap, which was a unique and welcome option for me. I spent most of my time out on the outdoor patio, which is very nice and was filled with lots of people hanging out, making for a really lively and fun environment. However, my biggest complaint about this place was that the food was pretty bad; while I understand that it's primarily just a brewery, I was still quite disappointed by the quality, especially since the menu items were not cheap. Come for the beers, skip the food and same yourself some dough figuratively and literally.

What a cute place! When I arrived on a Thursday night it was POPPIN and they had live music which was a super fun vibe. You go to the counter to order and then find a spot where you can. They had plenty of outside area (a patio with seating and some open space where you can enjoy a drink while waiting to find a seat somewhere) which was perfect for me because I got a cocktail and Togo food. Lots of people had raved about the Massaman katsu curry so I had to try it! It did not disappoint! At first I was disappointed to see how full the bowl was but the amount was PLENTY! I was stuffed after a few corn and about half the curry plate. I am so happy I tried this place out! Will definitely be trying it again when I'm back in town!

Overnight stay after a Moab trip and tried for dinner. Quick service with a large crowd and good drinks. Splits fries with dipping sauces, good, a bit pricey for fries. Each had the rice bowl- great sticky rice, kimchi, mushrooms, meat. Spicy bees knees had a nice kick too. Order at the register, find a table. Plenty of beers on tab as well, only one sour. Cool vibe.

Great experience here! I absolutely love that they have a toys for the kids -- it made the visit so much more relaxing and truly family friendly. The burger was delicious, the beer was super refreshing & cheap, and everything was beautifully set up and displayed. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which really made the whole experience even better. Overall, this place is a gem. We will definitely be coming back!

We were visiting downtown Grand Junction, CO, and happened upon Trail Life Brewing. It caught our eye because they were jammed with people. Also because my husband and I are big outdoor nature people. They have a nice craft beer selection including two of my favorite beers of all time, Oskar Blues Death by Coconut , and Left Hand Brewing's Milk Stout. We got there right before they closed, so unfortunately we missed out on their food. Next time we will have to try some. The menu looked great.

Located downtown. They have inside and outside seating. You order at the counter and then find a spot to sit. They bring your food out. I ordered a beer and a slush for my drinks. For my food, I had the Brussels sprouts and the katsu banh mi. The Brussels sprouts: definitely a must. So good. Perfectly seasoned. The portion is shareable. The katsu banh mi. I made mine vegan. They replaced the chicken with tofu steaks. The do tofu steaks were thick. The French bread was soft. The flavors were great. It came with a side of fries or a salad. I opted for the salad. The salad was a good size. The Mexican lager (porch pounder) is made by them. It is light. They did offer a lime which I recommend. The slush was bourbon type. It wasn't overly sweet. Parking is street parking, but you may have to walk a few blocks. A lot of their dishes can be made vegan or vegetarian. The outside is dog friendly. Everyone we encountered was helpful.

What a fun and cool place!! We walked up to the counter to order and the staff was super friendly and upbeat. We ordered two beers and a burger and Massaman Katsu curry. Both were delicious. The burger was thick and juice, with all the accompaniments. The curry was ridiculously good. Pretty much located in the heart of downtown. We sat at the raised table top bar, looking out at the passersby-ers. Neat place! Will be back!

Casual and outdoor seating during the summer. Fantastic brews and great food. Kitschy outdoor theme. Looking forward to trying more options when we have time

I ate the CHICKEN KATSU with side Salad. I have to say, this is one of the best salads I've had in a long time. The KATSU burger was great too. Lots of good ingredients. I wish they had soda on the tap. Bartenders check on me periodically. Nice group. I recommend stopping here if in Grand Junction.

Selective craft beer menu and creative cocktail menu. Burgers and sandwiches with an Asian/American/Mexican Fusion Great location lots of shops and nice place to walk around before or after grabbing a drink or bite.

I've now eaten in and ordered to-go a few times, and I can say these people consistently provide tasty meals! The options are classic-with-a-twist. My most recent favorite is the Chicken Katsu sandwich, but I also really enjoy The Patagonia sandwich. Each hits a different sweet spot for me! They're also usually pretty accurate with their time estimates for to-go orders, which is really nice. You don't end up waiting or with cold food, either.

Four of us shared the following: Vegan Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts, Vegan Hummus and Kwarma with Falafel, Vegan Katsu Bahn Mi with side salad, and Vegan Falafel Wrap with fries These are way better than the average bar food. Much of it is stand alone restaurant level great food. The dishes weired best were the Falafel Wrap and Katsu Bahn Mi. The tofu cutlets in the BahnMi were substantial and satisfying with tasty other items in the sandwich. It was my favorite item at this meal, with the falafel being by next favorite. I really liked that the menu is clearly marked which items can be made vegan on request, and when placing the order theircrew is happily accommodating of such requests. I would gladly eat here again the next time we are in the area.

A drink for lunch on vacation? Yes please! This was the winter cider they just started serving. It was delish!

Can beat the selection of beer & pairs well with pub style food. Open concept gave great ambiance. Service was prompt.

Ask the Community - Trail Life Brewing

    Are dogs allowed here?

Due to City Health rules, because we have a kitchen, we do not allow dogs inside our building. They are allowed on the patio if they are quiet, well behaved, and on a leash. Thanks for asking!

Service was sparse. I sat at the bar. Sat there 6-8 minutes before the blonde person at the bar said hi. I had to wait another couple of minutes since she was talking to a guy behind the bar and a couple other people sitting at the bar. It sounded like friends, not customers. Eventually, another bartender came on named Bailey. She was service oriented and took my order. She knew I was ready and I think she understood. I was waiting a good 15 minutes before she got on the clock. It's funny how things work out. Bailey took my order of two hotdog, mustard and onions, and almost immediately the blonde bartender, I think her name is Taryn put dirty plates right in front of me. The dirty plates sat there a few minutes and when Bailey brought the dogs out she took away the plates for my request and apologized. When I asked Bailey for the bill, I was surprised to find a charges of $.50 for mustard and $1.00 for onions. I truly love a good hot dog and these were pretty good. I wish they were grilled, but I came to found out this establishment steams their dogs and they are a grill less & greaseless. Very green and I respect that. But a dog deserves a grill. I give Bailey five stars for service. The other person named Tyron, one star.

A month ago I got the ham and cheese croissant and it tasted like something from a gas station. But I wanted to give them one more change. And the stuffed French toast sounded yummy. I was wrong. The menu claims "Thick‑cut Texas toast filled with sweet cream cheese, and topped with seasonal berries dipped in cinnamon‑vanilla batter, and grilled untill golden". The only thing that had flavor was the berries. The two slices of bread was like what you got at the grocery store (not thick and definitely not Texas toast) the cream cheese was bland and was put between them like if it was a PJ and J sandwich, and the toast was just bland no vanilla or cinnamon flavor. The only flavor came from the syrup and berries. Also it was soggy, I started to eat it like less then 3 minutes after getting it and even waited for it to be done made (so it wasn't sitting there for a while getting soggy waiting for me to pick it up). Definitely not worth the $13.
