I love the different options here and that everything is nice/new and very clean. I really love the pool, weight room and sports courts. If you're into pools, there's two of 'em, an indoor and an outdoor. I mostly go here for group fitness and while the schedule *looks* extensive at first glance, I actually often have a hard time finding a class each day I'd go to here. Many of the day time classes are for seniors/ "active adults" which is a bummer if you're not in this demographic. Group ex instructors vary in quality; there are some here I really enjoy and some that I avoid. I'm kind of surprised at this, and hope the Y is paying attention to those who are avoided and who are either further trained, or switched to another position. I especially enjoy almost all of the TRX classes and some of the kettlebell instructors. Weight and cardio room seem standard, with standard equipment though slightly crowded space. The room is a nice aesthetic, with a lot of windows and natural light. The windows give a view for those using the cardio machines. The area for individual floor or mat work is a little small but I've not had a problem with it being too crowded to use. It'd be nice if it were more segregated. This is the only YMCA in Greenville that offers towel service, so that's a plus for this location, and, but, I begrudge a little bit since I go more to Eastside YMCA (no towels, better group ex schedule for me). Parking at peak times can be a challenge here, and it's a bit of a hike up from the parking lot to the facility, so if you're trying to make it to a class on time, especially if you might be forced to park in the secondary lot, allow time for this little hike. It can be part of your warm-up and cool-down. I haven't used the trainers here but they have them, along with massage services. Child care also available though I've never utilized this. It must be good enough, though, as I see people utilizing child care here regularly.

I have been using this facility for at least 5 years. It has a a very nice 50 meter pool for lap…read moreswimming. When that is too busy or I have my kids with me, I use the 25 meter/yard therapy pool. At the time of this review, I have been paying for 3 visits at a time-- am not paying for the year. This is first and foremost a pool for lap swimming and swimming lessons. The gym is secondary and small. The playground is open to everyone but still managed by Greenville County. The last time I was there, one slide was broken/taped off. The schedule for use of the two pools is posted every week online. If you don't check that schedule, you may arrive to find the facility having a swim meet or closed. Over the years, the schedule has improved in its readability. Remember that if lightning is in the area, they have a (45 minute?) pause on swimming. That could close the facility early. They occasionally have a new person working the front but the facility is usually managed very well. For a person new to the community, just ask for help-- its a big facility.

This place was such a scam! We got there and spent $75 on a game card. After 3 games didn't work…read more(VR headset completely broken strap and wouldn't stay on my head + my partners headset was torn to shreds...hungry hippo game had ZERO marbles) and gave us back $55 that we didn't use (lost the money that we spent on their broken games) and then did go karting. My partner is the same weight as me and at full speed he was way ahead of me. I literally didn't even have a chance to catch up bc he was flying and my go kart was barely hanging on. Our first time here and will not be returning.

It's a lottery with if you'll get a fast or slow one . The batting cages are really sub par. You have to basically stand 5 feet in front of the plate to hit the ball, otherwise it'll bounce on the ground before you can even swing. The worst part is, not every thing is open after about 9pm. I've been here four times over the summer and have not seen any of the carnival style rides open, the drift carts open, or the go karts specifically for kids. After 9 pm everything was shut down except the batting cages and the arcade. Overall it ain't worth going to. Go to top golf or main even down the road. It way better and way more consistent.and honestly just about the same price. Frankie's gets a two star Ps. Staff was not friendly or helpful. Overall lazy and just did not want to be there, which I get, but your paid to be there. Do better
