I requested Lyft but my ride got canceled twice. When I finally made it to the plaza where the center is located, we had to go in circles because we couldn't find the place. As I am getting of the car I received a call from the therapy center. I couldn't answered because I was walking with crutches but I finally arrived at the center at 10:15 am. As I walked in the receptionist told me they cannot see me today because I was late, and that I could reschedule if I want to. I apologized, and explained to her that my ride got canceled twice, and then I couldn't find the location. She told me that the therapist came up to her at 10:05 am, and told her that if I wasn't there by certain time he could not see me today. I understand that they have other appointments, and that this is their job; however, I wonder where the human side is. I was never told when I made the appointment that I needed to be there no later than a specific time. I was not planning on being 15 minutes late, but I would have appreciated to know beforehand their policy. I feel very disappointed of the way I was treated. If this is the way they treat their patients, I can only imagine how they would treat someone who has neither physical limitations nor is in pain.
