Lucky, the owner, was incredibly helpful and made sure we were set with mopeds for the entire week. The mopeds ran perfectly with zero issues. Since these mopeds aren't meant to be driven continuously for hours at a time, we made sure to stop periodically, which honestly worked out perfectly since it was our first time on the island and we wanted to explore and enjoy different spots along the way. We were able to ride within the allowed areas, including to the beautiful Lanikai Beach and Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens without any problems. (I 100% recommend doing the Botanical Garden on the mopeds over a car, it is absolutely life changing!) The service was excellent, and we especially loved that they allowed us to park the mopeds overnight at their location, which helped us avoid expensive hotel parking fees. Hands down the only moped company I'd trust! Great prices, great service, and an overall amazing experience!

We rented some plain ol' pedal powered bikes for the day, and they were total crap. The frame and…read morebrakes were fine, but the shifters clearly hadn't been adjusted in years and the chain was probably an original and skipped all over. They kept shifting out of gear when you didn't want them to (climbing) and not shifting when you needed them to. I said something to the staff when we returned and they just made an excuse about being impossible to stay on top of maintenance when people "abuse" the bikes. My bike even had a seat post that wouldn't lock in - so about 5 miles away from the shop and it had slid down all the was to the frame - I was climbing hills in a bike that wouldn't downshift and a seat about 5 inches too low. The shop knew the post bracket had one stripped nut when they were adjusting it for me, and tightened the other one mightily - but it wasn't sufficient. We got by and made it back safely after putting about 15 miles on them - including a miserable climb to diamond head trailhead. I'm sure these guys have a great business with things like scooters and other more popular items, so I'll avoid giving one star - but they should not send people out on the crap bikes they have. I implore them - just don't advertise renting regular bikes if you can't maintain them at a bare minimum usable level - take them off the menu.

Put a bandaid on the college kids moped just to get it running and out of the shop. $400 later, second shop discovered the actual issue and fixed same day for under $200. Second shop said one part that was "replaced" was still damaged and other "replaced" part looks like the stock part it came with initially. All signs point toward being taken advantage of. From the time that we first met with Lee, it was a great experience from the get go! He took us around the Diamond Head area, and even mentioned a lot of the great local spots, like Bogarts and the KCC Farmers Market. These were great highlights, because not even many locals know about these spots! I haven't been on one of these things before, and I was quite surprised at how easy they were to handle. You can totally get the feel for this in less than 5m. It is easier than riding a bike! I got a private tour from Ryan because the other two people cancelled. Felt safe the entire time and the pace was perfect. The helmets contain mics so you can communicate easily and clearly. The e bikes are modern with 5 gear levels and they also have an accelerator on the handle if you don't feel like biking. I got some great Japanese food recommendations from Ryan and his wife at the end of the tour. Ryan takes pictures during the hike ride and sends you a google drive shortly after the tour ends.

From the moment…read moreyou meet Steve you'll know this is a guy who isn't getting rich doing this - he's doing it because he loves it. That makes for an excellent guide and a great time. Before I get into reviewing the tour, let me address anyone who's nervous or apprehensive about riding the segways since they haven't done it before. First, they are REALLY easy to learn and control. They are self-balancing and you get used to them quickly. Second, Steve started us out in a large open field and gives you very clear step-by-step instructions on how to operate the hoverboards. Then one-by-one he has you get on and use it with him right there to help you, making sure you are very comfortable before you ever leave on the tour. And lastly, he knows that many people who do the tour are first timers so he's not taking you on an extreme route with narrow drop offs. The route is lots of fun but simple and easy to maneuver. Now on to the tour... We had a blast! Steve is a great guy - laid back and enjoying what he's doing so he makes the tour a lot of fun. You have earpieces so he can communicate with you while riding. Sometimes he'll play pre-recorded bits of info about the places your seeing and other times he explain stuff himself. It's the right mix of each and made tour much more informative than I thought it would be. We saw a lot of historical and natural landmarks as well as some really amazing lookouts and views with great photo opportunities. Speaking of photos, Steve takes photos with his camera and then after the tour you get a link to download all those pics...for FREE! Not technically free since you pay for the tour, but we've all done those ones where they take pics then use them as an upsale at the end. Not Steve. See, told you he was a good guy. Any pics I'm posting that show us on the hoverboards are ones he took and shared. Also you're provided one ice cold coconut water and some snacks along the way just to hold you over if you need it. They were all prepackaged into separate containers and were a very nice touch. We really did have a fun time on the Segway tour. It was a nice way to spend the evening and a good value for the cost with excellent information and photo ops. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oahu!

We had a blast checking out the art district and local beaches and got to see a side of Honolulu that we would have otherwise missed by driving. The hoverboards were comfortable and were very easy to maneuver. We covered a lot of distance on our two hr tour that we couldn't have done by walking or by car. Highly recommend heading out on a breezy day to enjoy this tour!
