We had a blast on this tour. At first we were a little let down due to our car. The pictures show the red vehicle that was more open- but they did have 3 boxed vehicles (which we were in). Ultimately our tour guide Bill made up for this. He was very informative and super responsive to our questions. And most importantly he had a very amazing personality. We did the monuments at nights tour.

From the desk of Flopsie the Corgi About the tour itself. It's perfect for my hoomin because she doesn't want to spend hours and hours looking at memorials. This 2 hour tour to hop on and off for a couple of photos of me is perfect. You see all the sites in the comfort on sitting on your butt. If your hoomin wants to spend time looking at everything on display, then this isn't for you. Your hoomin should rent a bike and just take his/her sweet time. This is perfect for my instagram. Juliana was our tour guide. She's a dog person. She let me sit in the front (where I had the best view). The sites were all outdoors so I could get off and just romp around. The guide talks throughout the tour, and shares the fun stories and the updates on the opening of the sites (you know, the pandemic is still here so only a couple of places are slowly opening up). On a hot day in DC, this is the perfect activity (see the stuff and don't have to get sweaty). I LOVE wind blowing on my face. I'd just stick my tongue out and eat it all. All you can eat wind! I love it more than you think. Now this open air awesome vehicle that lets the wind blow right in my face and I'm just eating this wind buffet.

Urban Adventures was recommended by our hotel staff. Mike was our driver and he was FANTASTIC! We took the "history 101" tour and could never have seen a portion of what Mike had shown us, had we been on our own. We were able to see sites on narrow historic streets; UA has 6-seat electric golf cart type vehicles. Other tour busses and trolleys simply can't maneuver those parts of the city! Mike was personable, friendly and knew so much! I have a masters in history and I was fully impressed with his wealth of knowledge and interesting anecdotes. The price of our tour was so affordable as so worth every penny! The only thing left to do was to grab lunch and talk about all the sites Mike had shown us - and no tired feet!

It's a good thing we wore multiple layered clothing to keep warm, for it got really chilly traveling in an open vehicle as the night progressed. The monuments looked more intriguing at night! We especially liked the new MLK monument: the lights/shadows made the carving come to life. Piotr, our knowledgeable guide, had a good sense of humor and spoke authoritatively evidencing great subject matter expertise. He regaled us with an amazing wealth of factoid and stories on the monuments. His witty and entertaining commentaries greatly enhanced our enjoyment of the tour which ran well over two hours, ending past 1020 pm. The rendezvous point outside the Department of Agriculture building next to the Smithsonian station was well-chosen for it allowed us to safely and quickly access the Metro to return to our hotel at such late hour.

Great tour and guide as well! She made sure we were able to see all the sites and had us laughing! Thankful I found them online and booked it for our first trip to DC!! We did the electric car ride with 4 in our party and it was just the right size!

Tonight we went on a tour of DC with Steve. This was by far one of the best tours I have been on . Steve was super knowledgeable of DC and it's history and he was funny . There was four of us and we were all equally impressed. If you have the opportunity this is a great way to see the city .

The food stops were all locally owned restaurants and the food was delicious. Our guides kept us entertained as they educated us about the history of the area while mixing in enough food stops to keep everyone happy. They answered lots of questions and we walked enough to work off some of the calories we consumed.

It was the perfect balance of walking around the neighborhood and eating good food while sitting and resting. They pay full price for the food at each stop and even give a 20% tip. Each stop gives a full portion so come hungry and ready to learn. 2) Guide: We had Jim and he was the perfect balance of personable, interesting, knowledgeable, and passionate. He clearly knows the city well and is a foodie himself. He did an excellent job of teaching this local some new facts and giving tourists a more holistic view of Washington, D.C. 3) Mission: The company is local and gives back to a non-profit called Bread for the City with every tour ticket purchased. If you want to explore the city while enjoying good local food, I can't recommend Blue Fern Travel enough!

Turned out to one of my favorite gifts as the tour opened our eyes to places we have not tried for one reason or another, plus got a little history and learned a couple of things. Terry was our Tour Guide, he was awesome and very knowledgeable of the area, the history and the food. It was a walking tour, Terry kept a pace that everyone could enjoy, did not rush, explained each stop in advance. He also seemed to have a great working relationship with each of the stops staff. We were seated quickly at each spot, and did not have to wait long for our food. Each spot served enough to give you a taste of the menu, and each stop was very good. The Mexican food was amazing, and one dish in particular will bring me back sooner than later. The crazy thing was most of the ingredients are not on my favorite list, but together- Bam !!! That was the cool thing about the tour, took us out of comfort zone, and exposed us to selections we normally would not have tried. Definitely recommend this tour, Terry was the best, and not just because he is a fellow Nats Fan- LOL. My wife who never does group photos did not hesitate when another participant said "Hey, group photo" she jumped right in. Just a nice relaxed way to explore new foods, when visiting for the first time or as a long time resident. Find new go to spots & possibly make new friends.

My hubby and I really enjoyed it! We arrived 20 mins early and the guy checking us in said that the tour may start early, but looking at his check in list, it seemed like it was bc almost everyone had arrived. There were 2 separate grps & only 20 ppl in ea grp. At 1st I was bummed that the 6 stops weren't places that were only choc, but it ended up being a great experience, getting a taste of other things with chocolate in it, like bread, cupcakes, caramels, and fudge, as well as chocolate bars and bon bons. We also enjoyed our guide, Linda. She was bubbly (but not sickingly), knowledgeable about the area and our stops, careful about getting us to our destination safely, and good about moving us along but not rushing us. Only complaint....1 of our stops was closed for the thanksgiving weekend. Great Food Tour should've either checked with each stop bc if the holiday, and the closed stop should've notified the tour company. We weren't made aware of the closure until near the end.
