When asked not to put bows in your dogs fur they do anyway. It wouldn't be a big deal if my dog didn't have fur that partially covers her eyes. When a dog has fur that covers her eyes it needs to be there all the time. If you uncover a dogs eyes when their used to it they have problems with sunlight. Also my dog now fights not to go into their building but has never done that with any other groomer so there's something going on with that. Dogs have pretty good memories and if they like going somewhere they don't fight to keep from going in. I no longer trust them. I will never take my dog back there.

I have a cream french bulldog whom as a brachycephalic dog, gets overheated during prolonged play, hence needs constant breaks. I had instructed The Dog Loft to put him in a kennel in the back room every couple of hours in order for him to get a breather throughout the day. I was assured multiple times by multiple people including the owner, Katie, that this was been done. Forward to the end of last week when I go pick up my dog at the end of my work day to find that his ears had purple bruises. He also had chunks of dried blood all over his neck and jaw. Alarmed, I called The Dog Loft as I had just picked up my dog. They said they hadn't noticed and that it was probably all due to "rough play". I emailed them further with pictured of his injuries, a detailed report from our vet mentioning PUNCTURED WOUNDS on my dog and a vet bill. I spoke to Katie over the phone and all she kept saying was that she attributed it to rough play and that her and her staff didn't know how to make me happy. Our doctor specifically said that his injuries where not conclusive with regular dog play and that there was certainly a lack of supervision at the daycare as this was not normal. She adviced that we went elsewhere for doggy daycare as this place was obviously dropping the ball. A few more emails back and forth I told Katie, the owner that we were not coming back and that we wanted a complete refund of our 10 day package purchase as we had only used one day and it was the day that my dog got injured. She said that she would send a check in the mail. Its been over a week and we have not received anything from her. The most appalling this is that throughout the interaction with us there was never any remorse, a we are sorry or even asking if our dog was alright. I didn't even ask her to cover our vet bill, just for the $245 dollars that we spent there and used once. Nothing. I mentioned at the start of this review that my dog was suppose to be taken to the back every couple of hours, hence if they were doing this as I was assured, then there is no way they would have not noticed his injuries if he was in fact getting individual attention throughout the day. The fact that I was the one that had to notify these people of my dog's injuries is THE MOST appalling thing of all and the biggest reason why I am leaving this review; to warn others of their negligence. Not once when I went to pick up my dog did I see staff inside the small dog area with them. They were always behind the counter which makes it impossible for them to see the dogs during play. They are mostly unattended and only go in there to clean up the space. Its horrifying. The lack of care that we have received after all of this and the lies from the owner herself as well as her lack of accountability is not just heartbreaking but infuriating. I wish Facebook would let me post pictures adjacent to reviews. I will be posting this on their wall along with pictures of every single thing I have mentioned here, including the correspondence with the owner to corroborate what I just wrote. If you can't find it on this page its because they went ahead and deleted it. Don't be fooled by their nice location and cute dog pictures like I did. They give zero damns about the dogs in their "care" and won't even reimburse you when they drop the ball. You should be ashamed of yourself Katie Heinrichs.

There was a big staff turnover and I found many of the new staff extremely rude and unprofessional. I witnessed one client be treated incredibly poorly after she complained about her dog's grooming (it DID look uneven even to my untrained eye and she was being charged A LOT) and another time I actually saw 2 staff members yelling at one another in the lobby. I also disagree with the way this business and their staff use social media to bully and shame anyone who says anything negative about them. Instead of attacking clients who have had bad experiences they should invest in simple customer service (and people skills). If they're willing to treat their paying clients so horribly imagine how the dogs are being treated!

My dog has been displaying aggressive behaviours towards new people and even with some that he has…read moremet before. I have seen two other trainers who have worked with positive rewards for good behaviour. We have noticed our doing the behaviours now and looking for treats. Dave came to the house and had our dog listening to him in under 30 seconds. He modelled for me all the training techniques and showed me the options I could do for training. I was pretty disheartened with our training before and felt wonderful after working with Dave. I feel that I am going to be able to teach our dog and be much more comfortable with him around other people. I HIGHLY recommend.

I was looking around online and I came across their website and decided to email them. I wanted to know if they could help me with some behaviour concerns that I had about my puppy (such as prevention of resource guarding, nipping - nothing too major). I sent them a fairly lengthy email with reasonable questions regarding behaviours that I wanted to correct in my dog (to get an idea of how much they deal with these issues), along with questions regarding the cost of the classes and the next start date. At the very end I thanked them for their time and that I was looking forward to hearing from them. After showing that I was genuinely interested, they only replied to me with one sentence. Not even a hello, or a thank you for your interest, they didn't even answer all of my questions. They just told me when the next start date was and that was it. If someone is that disinterested in helping me then why should I bother with them? I got the feeling that they aren't too passionate about helping people so I didn't bother pursuing them. I have later emailed other dog training facilities and have received detailed responses, so I do know that there are other trainers who care about helping you and also value your interest. Unfortunately, the Winnipeg k9 education centre wasn't one of them.

Maybe an offer of compensation so I could go buy a new leach? (which I had to do , because I had to babysit the dog for a few days) When I got in the car , all I could smell was urine. The poor dog' s feet were stained yellow and stunk. I used Pawsh dog before for my dog and was very pleased, but it seems that their quality of service went downhill. Also, most of the work is done in the open and the dogs can move freely when they're not being groomed, except the bathing. Recently they added a dog daycare too. My dog has sensitive skin so they give her a medicated shampoo. She also needs regular grooming because she's a non-shedding breed (Airedale Terrier -- W00T terriers!). The prices are on par with other groomers, but they have a regular visit plan which is a great savings. My dog comes out looking and smelling great, and she's calm, which is a marked change from other groomers who crate the poochies when they're not being groomed. Also, Barks N Bubbles has a lovely pet boutique with lots of yummy doggie treats, leashes, food, and even costumes!

Well I had a run in with her at a restaurant next door to her business.
