    EXCELLENT- Being THRILLED with this company is an understatement!!! I am a recycle freak, but had no idea what to do with my old electronics and appliances. From the first time I contacted Urban Recycling, they were more than helpful and extremely friendly! From the owner and office manager Greg and Gina, to the hard working operator Devin, we could not be more pleased with how easy and stress-free this process was, especially with FREE pick up. Thank you Urban Recycling... we will stay in touch and pass the word!

    This is a great service for recycling electronics. you schedule a pickup online and they come and take everything. Always on time.

    How is the disk drive destroyed? More importantly how can it be determined that it is your disk drive from your computer?

    It’s shredded. We have special machines that is just for that. And we destroyed that on camera, a video, so you can see exactly who’s hard drive is. You are more than welcome to come and watch it being shredded.

    Do you pick up old air conditioning units?

    Old AC's are not considered electronics so they are not recycled by Urban Recyclers. If your old AC unit has been replaced, the company that replaces it should remove the unit and haul it off as well.

    Does this company take cardboard for recycling?

    Urban Recyclers recycle electronics not cardboard.

The monthly charge of $538.00 for a 6-yard unlocked dumpster appears excessive. Furthermore, the additional fee of $260.00 for someone dumping their garbage in my dumpster seems unreasonable, as it implies that I am being penalized for circumstances beyond my control. The justification provided, citing undue stress on the driver and potential extra runs to the dump, is unconvincing. As a 10-year customer without any previous issues, I am dismayed by the sudden imposition of excessive fees. My previous attempt to cancel our service when the rate increased to $538.00 was deterred by the substantial cancellation fees and damages, as well as dumpster pickup costs. This experience left me feeling coerced into continuing our contract. Despite the contract stipulating that I have the right to cancel at a price increase, your response indicated that the dump's price increase necessitated your own price hike, which seems like a deflection of responsibility. I would still have been required to pay damages, early cancellation fees, and dumpster removal costs. The subsequent offer of a contract at $238.00 per month was declined, and I opted to continue service at the full price for a year, intending to terminate our contract at the end of that period. Yesterday, I spoke with a representative regarding the $260.00 charge and my concerns, but was met with scripted responses that failed to address my issues. I was offended by the manner in which my concerns were addressed and the implication that I am incapable of understanding competitors' contracts and that I would receive similar service from other providers. When asked about competitor offerings, I pointed out the absurdity of disclosing competitors' bids. The representative's response, claiming that you were not bidding but rather negotiating, was unhelpful. Your offer of a three-year contract at $130 per month, with a reduction of $408 per month, raises questions about the fairness of your pricing. On a personal note, I have had similar issues with your residential service, which I canceled when I moved. The offering at the new residence required us to drive the garbage can to the end of the road, whereas your competitor picks up at the back of our estate gate. You attempted to charge us for moving from our house and not continuing service with you, despite being unable to provide the same level of service. I have concerns regarding your company's business practices. I will not be renewing my contract with you, regardless of the price. I have decided to switch to your competitor, even at a higher cost, due to the deceptive and bullying business tactics you exercise.

That's way too much manpower dedicated to one specific task when so much needed to get accomplished. We got every excuse you can imagine but no action. I had to pay five men who waited around all day when the PROMISED dumpsters never showed up. There was NO call needed to take my payment of $1400, which was IMMEDIATE. We had two dumpsters delivered at the same time since no large was available... so they both just sat there, filled, when by the time they arrived we already needed them to be pulled. I am NOT happy nor will ever use this company again.

I'm a…read moreresident at Alister Galleria here in Houston TX and I have an issue with the lack of services being provided by the young man in our community. Although there are two people from what I have observed only one of them comes upstairs to service floors 2 and 3 in my building. The other gentleman takes care of the lower levels. Last night as I sat on the sofa, I heard the lid of the bin hit the wall loudly behind me, so I looked at my Ring camera to see what was going on. I observed my trash bag sitting near the stairway and the tall slender gentleman proceeding to go to the other side of the breezeway. When he came back with the trash from there, he picks up my bag from the ground and begins to look it over attempting to see through the bag and after a while he sits my trash back in my bin and begins to walk upstairs to service that floor. I step outside to inquire about it. I told him I just wanted an understanding on why my trash was placed back in the bin and the gentleman told me because my trash was heavier than everyone else's. I then asked if there was a weight limit on the trash that I should be aware of. Then he tells me that there is a bag limit and that I double bagged my bag because I knew it was heavy to which I explained, I just put raw meat in a bag that I didn't want to stay in my apartment and that the bag was basically empty without the meat so I dropped the bag on top of it and placed it in a bin. He then informed me that when I moved in, they should have given me the rules for the valet service and said he was coming back for it. What he meant by coming back for it was that he was placing a notice on my door for overweight/oversized trash. I use 13-gallon, white drawstring bags, if I see the photo my bag is the one that is on the ground, the bag that came from the other side of the breeze way is still in his hand so I'm not sure how my bag is oversized/overweight. I even decided to pull out my scale to weigh the bag which came in under 20lbs. From a review of the "Part-time Trash Collector" job description listed on your site for Houston the applicants are asked to have the "Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs." which my bag is well under this weight. My bag does not have any pet waste that calls for the double bagging as identified on your website but the fact that my trash had two bags was an issue for this gentleman and I'm not sure why this would be an issue. I have since added an additional bag because after him dragging it across the cement it is now dripping, and I don't think anyone should have to deal with a mess like that, but I feel that it will cause him to again refuse to pick up my trash. I am only taking the time to write this because this is not the first time that I have had issues with trash pick up at my unit. I haven't been in this community a year yet but just shortly after I moved in there was a trash issue where the guy ripped a huge hole in my trash bag leaving it open and then left it in the bin. Inside the bag was watermelon rinds and a couple of other items, nowhere near full, but it was again just something I wanted out of the apartment to keep bugs from being drawn to it. The way the bag was ripped up was not an accident and it was no way in that condition when I placed It in the bin. No notice was left on my door at the time so I called the office and inquired but just said I would place that bag in another bag and leave it for it to be picked up the following day. In another instance I fault myself for attempting to be helpful. I arrived home at the time that they were servicing the building, they had already grabbed my floor, and the bags were again sitting near the stairs, I went inside and tied up my bag and sat it with the others near the stairs. The gentleman picked up every other bag and left my bag there and walked off. I just sat my trash in the bin for it to be picked up the following day but that action for me spoke to the character of the individual servicing our community. I'm not writing this to have any fired I just would rather him either be rotated to another community or remedy the situation because I'm aware that I am not the only resident having issues with trash pickup and with this being a service that we are charged for it's not at all providing us the service as intended.

    This is a total scam. Residents are charged for a service and this company fails to deliver time…read moreand time again. I have reported that my trash has not been picked up multiple time and am fed the same lies: We are sorry, our Operations Team will contact you. Trash still not being picked up and no has EVER contacted me.
