The cafe hosted a special event I attended today. Although there is not a ton of cutesy decor to…read morespeak of, it is a nice cozy, quiet place to enjoy some light bites and great drinks and catch up on reading, working, meeting up. The ladies behind the counter were very nice. I had the chicken tinga empanada and it was so good. One more shred of chicken, and that thing would have exploded. It was very flavorful! I also had the Pink Line latte which was so good. The donuts looked amazing but I decided to restrain myself, but will definitely have to grab one on my next visit. There is street parking around and on a Sunday, it was easy breezy. Not sure what it's like during the rest of the week.

We arrived around 9:30 on a Thursday morning and it was fairly busy with customers coming in and out or choosing to sip on their coffees in house. We were greeted immediately and told about the specials and pastries. Our drinks were made quickly and tasted excellent. With ample seating in the front of the house or back, there's plenty of space to relax while the Latin music serenades you quietly in the background. You can also cozy up to the bar, surrounded by a variety of lovely plants, and watch your coffee creation be made.

The hipster diner aesthetic truly is a comforting vibe. We got the spinning j and the poblano sandwich, with sausage and a buttermilk biscuit. It was amazing. The s'mores pie was delightful as well.

Bookmarked this little gem while I was searching for a diner/cafe. After grabbing a big brunch at a…read morepopular café nearby, we decided that we should still check this place out and I'm glad we did because it was so, so, SO much better than our brunch. The vibe is like a neighborhood diner bar that gives a warm and cozy feeling. They have pies, merch, and a pastry display at the front. The menu is a combination of classic Western diner food with some Japanese twists. The staff were super friendly and recommended a few options since we were too full to try multiple things. We were seated in one of the booths, and the light above us was a lotus-shaped lamp. The whole environment makes you want to stay all morning or afternoon. We ordered a lemon meringue cranberry yuzu pie and a homemade ginger lime soda. The pie blew our minds! It was perfectly balanced with flavors in each layer, the meringue wasn't overly sweet, and the crust was similar to a cheesecake crust. It honestly made us want to order another pie just to try it, but we knew we wouldn't be able to finish. The ginger lime soda was also incredibly refreshing, with actual ginger bits and citrus flavor to balance it out. It tasted like a fresh ginger ale with lime! We saw a lot of people ordering their breakfast sandwich and hope we can come back in the future to try it, especially since the brunch place we went to earlier was very underwhelming.
