Sorry, I have gone to bakeries all over the city, but this one was by far the worse of the worse. Yes, its hard to get parking since you have to pay on Armitage they will ticket you faster than a flea jumps on a one legged dog! The breads were not fresh, although my mom asked the lady. When we got to my aunts house, all others brought bakery goods also, but ours were not touched! Well they did pinch for freshness, and might I add, breads don't crumble when you poke. These did! No way will I go back, and this is definitely the no no of bakeries in the city.

Best sándwiches. I moved away from the neighborhood but I keep coming back for those delicious sandwiches. Pretty cheap too.

The ladies behind the counter were very nice. I had the chicken tinga empanada and it was so good. One more shred of chicken, and that thing would have exploded. It was very flavorful! I also had the Pink Line latte which was so good. The donuts looked amazing but I decided to restrain myself, but will definitely have to grab one on my next visit. There is street parking around and on a Sunday, it was easy breezy. Not sure what it's like during the rest of the week.

We arrived around 9:30 on a Thursday morning and it was fairly busy with customers coming in and out or choosing to sip on their coffees in house. We were greeted immediately and told about the specials and pastries. Our drinks were made quickly and tasted excellent. With ample seating in the front of the house or back, there's plenty of space to relax while the Latin music serenades you quietly in the background. You can also cozy up to the bar, surrounded by a variety of lovely plants, and watch your coffee creation be made.

The hipster diner aesthetic truly is a comforting vibe. We got the spinning j and the poblano sandwich, with sausage and a buttermilk biscuit. It was amazing. The s'mores pie was delightful as well.

The vibe is like a neighborhood diner bar that gives a warm and cozy feeling. They have pies, merch, and a pastry display at the front. The menu is a combination of classic Western diner food with some Japanese twists. The staff were super friendly and recommended a few options since we were too full to try multiple things. We were seated in one of the booths, and the light above us was a lotus-shaped lamp. The whole environment makes you want to stay all morning or afternoon. We ordered a lemon meringue cranberry yuzu pie and a homemade ginger lime soda. The pie blew our minds! It was perfectly balanced with flavors in each layer, the meringue wasn't overly sweet, and the crust was similar to a cheesecake crust. It honestly made us want to order another pie just to try it, but we knew we wouldn't be able to finish. The ginger lime soda was also incredibly refreshing, with actual ginger bits and citrus flavor to balance it out. It tasted like a fresh ginger ale with lime! We saw a lot of people ordering their breakfast sandwich and hope we can come back in the future to try it, especially since the brunch place we went to earlier was very underwhelming.

The wait time really wasn't that bad - I think I was in and out in about 15 minutes. The line did get longer around 7:50 so plan accordingly. I had the absolute best cinnamon roll (arroz con leche) of my life here. The texture was perfectly fluffy and the roll was abundantly iced with a cream cheese-y icing with some nice rice pudding. The rolls are massive too! I couldn't imagine any cinnamon roll topping the ones here. I have tried cinnamon rolls at a couple other hyped spots in the city. Do yourself a favor and skip everywhere else and just come here as the other places absolutely pale in comparison. I also got a strawberries and cream concha that was divine. There was a luscious strawberry cream filling that was a nice surprise. I had been meaning to try a concha for a while & I am so glad I got to try it here. This place is def in my top 2 bakeries in the city and I have tried my fair share. It's certainly the best in Logan Square (sorry Sugar Moon). If calories didn't matter I'd come here every weekend it is that good.

The workers were so sweet, it made the place feel like i was back in mexico in my mother's hometown. The ambience is warm and very welcoming. If you're a person that can't decide, make sure you bring extra money because you will be walking out with more than one box. Only downside is how many seats they have to eat there, but mostly everyone that went in, got their food and pastries and left.
