There is a lot of selection of plants and pots, and also a selection of cute cards. The store offers delivery and pick-up. I found this place as I am a newly obsessed plant mama and wanted to get some plants from local places that deliver. I found Urban Gardener on Instagram and absolutely loved their products! They deliver for just $10 anywhere 15km away from their shop. I was a bit confused at first as they don't have an organized online ordering and they just take orders through Instagram or Email now. I took screenshots via their Instagram stories of the plants I wanted and sent them a DM asking if they could deliver to me! I ordered 7 plants for around $190 total with delivery (sansevieria zeylanica, sansevieria laurentii, sansevieria superba, echeveria, monstera, hawothia and peperomia frost). They gave me an email to e-transfer the money to (which at first I thought was sketchy lol) and told me they would deliver it in two days! Before they delivered it, they sent me a text and were happy to accommodate and come a bit earlier than expected :) I am SO happy with my purchase, my plants are thriving and looking so good!! I was a bit concerned at first as my echeveria was missing from the order but I just sent them a DM on Instagram and they were happy to etransfer me the amount back. As a succulent enthusiast, this place is a dream. You can find everything from living stones to cacti to painted terracotta pots. Staff are friendly and super knowledgeable. There's even a shelf full of everything you need to make your own terrarium. #DIY It wouldn't be a cute Toronto store without cards and other locally made goodies like macramé and Fitzy leather goods. When the soil is saturated and the roots are left sitting in water the plants are likely to get root rot which is hard to recover from. Yellowing or browning leaves is a sign of watering too frequently or leaving your plant sitting in water. - Most tropicals love higher levels of humidity. In the winter, use a humidifier to keep plants happy. Your Ficus Lyrata (living room) and Bird of Paradise (bathroom) are the ones that care most. The bathroom will take care of the Bird of Paradise's needs but adding a small humidifier to the living room will help your Ficus thrive. Daily misting is also an option, though it does not provide consistent humidity. - Your plants should not need to be sized up for at least a year, often longer is ok! Ficus Lyrata Water when top 2 inches of soil is dry, usually every 10 days. Prone to root rot so never let it sit in water. Loves bright, indirect light and high humidity. I added 2 x philodendron/ pothos to the basement window in the kids play area but they can truly be put anywhere in the house with medium-to-bright, indirect light. Water when leaves start to droop a bit, every 7-10 days or so. Move them to the main floor or kids rooms if you don't want plants in the basement! I visited this little shop a few days ago. As soon as I entered I felt welcomed by the lady behind the desk. This shop has a great selection of pots that vary from small to quite large. The only thing stopping me from giving this shop a 4 or 5 star rating is the lack of selection or variety of plants themselves. read more

This review is for landscaping services. Customer service was great, initially, but after we paid it was very difficult to get in touch with anyone. For the price we paid, it really wasn't worth it. We didn't get what we asked for, half the plants died, old plants and roots weren't removed properly and grew back, etc. I ended up having to redo everything myself. On a positive note, it motivated me to develop gardening skills. read more
