I went at an off peak time. I was greeted and served immediately. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was fresh, and there was so much meat I couldn't close the wrap! Urban gyros is now one of my favorite spots in El Paso! It's so hard to find decent ethnic food out here and I'm glad that we know there is a good Greek option now! My husband and I tried Urban Gyros for the first time today. Surprisingly the place was empty for it being a Saturday afternoon. I'd think with how good their food is that they'd be more busy. Nonetheless, we were excited to try their chicken bowl with white and red sauce. I also wanted to try their loaded queso fries with the white and red sauce as well. The guy working the register was friendly and helpful with any questions we had regarding their menu and sizes of their meals. I'd definitely say that the bowl and fries were more than enough for my husband and I to share. Next time I definitely want to try their gyros! We will be back in the future, for sure. The wait wasn't too bad, all of the food tasted very fresh. Both my husband and I agreed that Urban Gyros is one of the best spots we've tried so far out here in El Paso! I really wanted to like this place but I wouldn't go back. First off it took 20 minutes to get one gyro and an order if fries and there was nobody else there on a Saturday at 11:30 am. The cook looked aggravated. When the food came there was a lot of lettuce, tomato and onion. The onions were pickled and very sour. Couldn't eat them. When I found the chicken it was chopped very small but the seasoning was odd tasting. I couldn't eat it. And the pita was dry with an odd smell as well as if they stored it with other food. We had originally driven out to this side of town for PokeBar, but they were slow to open and we were in a rush. We'd been eyeing Urban Gyros since they opened and decided today was the day to give them a shot. They offer bowls, gyros and salads with your selection of protein with numerous veggies included. You choose a sauce, which was only described by level of heat and not flavor. Husband ordered double beef gyro with orange sauce as well as the (overpriced) hummus with two pita. The cost was in the mid-$20s. The pita with the hummus was great, warm and fluffy. However, the hummus itself was dry and bland. Luckily since we were eating at home we do kick it up with some lemon juice and garlic and that helped tremendously. The gyro... was even less impressive. The "double meat" wasn't worth the extra $5 for the small amount extra you got. After asking staff about the sauce, we decided on the orange sauce, which was the second hottest. Unfortunately once we got home, we found the gyro covered in sauce, which lived up to being hot... but virtually flavorless. It was just pain with no payoff. Do not recommend returning. read more

The gyro plus chicken bowl is decent size and had the gyro meat. My favorite would be the gyro meat; the chicken was slightly on the dry side, however would definitely try more items. Love the variety of sauces they offer. Finally had a chance to drop by - this place has been open about 3 weeks now. Fortunately I was not disappointed with my dinner selection! Ordered the Gyro combo with white sauce (poblano ranch) and green sauce (green chile aioli). The combo came with waffle fries and a drink. The beef and lamb mix for the gyro was really good, very tasty and plentiful! Lots of lettuce, tomato, onion and cucumbers included in the warm, soft pita bread. Pretty good food and service here at Urban Gyros! I was a little bit bummed out that they didn't have any chicken strips available. They asked me if they could give me grilled chicken instead and I said that was fine. That's a little bit healthier anyway? I ordered the food through the Yelp app and they called me to let me know about the strips, which I appreciated. My food was ready when I got there which was another plus. I also ordered a chicken gyro, falafel and fries. The food probably tastes better if you eat it there in the restaurant. The food didn't travel too well to the other side of town to the westside. I had my doggy with me so I couldn't eat it there. The fries and gyro got soggy. Maybe it would've been better if the white sauce in the gyro was on the side rather than on top of it? I didn't even think of that when I ordered the food! I asked them not to add onions to the gyro and they didn't. You'd be surprised with how many places don't listen to that one! The falafel was really good, especially with the green sauce. I believe the two sauces I got for the meal were poblano ranch and green chile aioli. They were both really good. They were creamy and tasty. They weren't spicy at all for me. I have a very high tolerance for spicy food. It really takes a lot for any chile to be spicy for me. Anyway...The falafel was my favorite out of the entire meal. It was crunchy and had a nice flavor and texture. It sort of reminds me of a hush puppie but better and healthier! The gyro was alright, even if it was too soggy for me. The chicken and sauce were both flavorful. It had plenty of tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce in it. I couldn't eat the whole thing. I got full after taking a few bites of it. The prices are not cheap but not super expensive, either. I would say they're about average with the way things are going right now (buying groceries has become a bit expensive these days!). Overall, a good experience! They also offer several desserts like ice cream, crepes and more. I'm trying to limit my sugar intake so that was a no no for me this time around. All of the desserts on the menu looked good, though. I think I would give Urban Gyros another try. Next time I would have to eat it there or at least ask for the sauce to be on the side. read more

OMG El Paso has been in DIRE need of a Gyro joint (non-Arbys division) for almost a decade since the place on Cincinnati St closed and I'm really happy that Urban Gyros opened near me and that it is yummy, Eastside in da house! First and foremost, Urban Gyros is not a franchise chain, it is in-fact local, #ElPasoStrong, which isn't a big a deal unleash you're some hipster, which I am not, I was just into local restaurants before it was cool, you probably haven't heard of them. Anyhow, the place does have a pieology-y vibe, that's why asked of they were local. The Gyros are great: good meats, amazeballs bread, and tzatziki sauce on point. The waffle fries are also fantastic, I tried them plain and I'm looking forward to checking them out loaded. I've been keeping an eye on this location for a while, savoring the Gyros and I'm happy they are finally open, I recommend checking them out. read more
