Another city, another eye appealing experience. There was no customer lineup here for entry. It was sunny but high humidity was in the air. Still, it the 3rd day of Step 1 for the re-opening of Ontario and it was sooooo nice to be outdoors today. This Mississauga store is mid-sized compared to recent ginormous garden centres recently visited. Indoor and outdoor product selection was great and pricing was excellent! Aisles are narrow and a shopping basket is the way to go both inside and outdoors. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Checkout was quick. (Just wish staff wouldn't complain about another staff being late for a shift in front customers...easily minus one star!) Parking is limited at the front entrance but there are more spots at the side of the building. Wait for it..... Yes, we came home with 5 plant additions to the home!

However, trying to find where I needed to go wasn't easy, the dust dirtied my car and I had to personally lift all 5 - 105lbs patio stones into my trunk. The stones were nice looking but ended up being the wrong colour. I kept the receipt, assuming I could return like I have in the past at Home Depot. However, as I called the gentlemen, an understatement at best, the man who picked up sounded and also acted like the boss, it may have been so. I explained, I was in yesterday and bought the patio slabs but they aren't the right ones. I asked if I could return them and he said no with a negative tone. finally, he offered me store credit which is not what I want. They pay the boys who lift these heavy stones most likely minimum wage and I ha for lift myself. After that experience he has lost me as a customer, sparked a negative review and will lose business from not only me but my entire family and some friends in Oakville. I was born and raised here along with my mother. We are involved in work which could provide business for million dollar mansion owners. However, Agram's will not be getting the contracts that's for sure. treat people right and don the right thing! Hope your reading this pal because I promise your attitude and cheapness Of not letting me return $42.50 of Patio Stones has cost you thousands of dollars from me, thousands from my family and potentially Hundreds of Thousands from the future clients who would of been sent your way. Way to go!!

The extensive range of plant collections caters to different preferences, providing ample choices for shoppers. However, the inadequate billing counter is a disappointment. Long queues and wait times can be frustrating, detracting from the overall shopping experience. Additionally, the absence of attractive offers or discounts diminishes the appeal for bargain hunters. Thou they occasionally provide great offers but those are mostly clearance offers towards season end. Despite these drawbacks, Terra Greenhouse remains a go-to destination for plant lovers.. It would have been a 5 experience if they have great offers and less billing wait time

The snake plant options seemed endless. These plants are known to keep the air clean and are easy to care for - two absolute wins in my book. I was able to not only find a plant to take home, but also a trendy planter that matched my new bedroom decor. The best part was that an employee was kind enough to offer to pot it for us. There was a small fee for this (under $10), but it was worth it because I am not the most educated when it comes to that kind of thing. The employee was also very transparent with us when we asked if she could ensure the plant was in a healthy state, it was :). Happy to report my plant is alive and thriving! Apparently naming your plant is a thing so I'm thrilled to introduce you to Twyla ;)

I purchased what was described to me by the manager as a foxtail fern. It's an unusual, and rare looking fern and it drew my attention. Well, a year later, I showed him what my fern looked like, and it was nothing like the foxtail fern. I asked if he has one that I could exchange it with but no more came in stock. Fast forward to May 2025, and they have them in stock. I asked if he could exchange it and he said he would need to call the owners. 5 minutes later, he told me the owners said they would not exchange it. It's a shame that you advertise a plant as a foxtail fern and get something else. All the years I have shopped there have now come to an end. There are many other garden centers that honor their products and accept their mistakes. NO MORE JADE GARDENS!

There's a nice selection of outdoor flowers and plants, trees, indoor plants, furniture, and gardening tools. The plants here look amazing and healthier than ones you would find at a typical Canadian Tire or Home Depot. However, do expect to pay a lot more for better-looking plants (i.e a $20 hydrangea at Canadian Tire would be $40 here). The staff here are friendly and are very knowledgeable so don't hesitate on asking about the plants. My first visit was during their Customer Appreciation Event meaning that all in-stock items were 25% off (not sure how often they have this event). Nonetheless, if you're willing to spend some extra money for a fantastic looking garden or for a hard to find plant, this is the place!

Unfortunately, the experience with the store manager was completely different. The attitude and lack of respect shown by the manager toward a customer were very disappointing and unacceptable. Instead of trying to help resolve the situation professionally, the manager's attitude made me feel that my concerns and my business were simply not valued. It is unfortunate because the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful, and I had a completely different impression of them. After this experience, I will not be returning to Sheridan Nurseries. There are many other places where customers can spend their money and receive the level of respect and customer service they deserve. I cannot recommend this location based on my experience with the store manager.

Size-wise, this Homesense was not as impressive as the ones that I've been to at Bathurst/Centre (Thornhill) or even Vaughan Mills. It's on the smaller size, HOWEVER, the benefit is that it's waaay quieter than those other locations. Actually, it's probably even quieter than any Winners that I've been to! The location definitely has a part to play in that "been transported back in time" feeling. There's no sense of urgency or rush, just relaxation. I had a question about what was included in a package of bedding - it wasn't stated on the label - and the sales associate, who was doing something else at the time, actually went to another associate to find out for me. Who does that nowadays? If I were in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to stop here 'cause I don't like shopping in crowded places.

I'd argue that it's the perfect fit for the Clarkson community, as it accurately sums the sleepy, docile nature of the community. I ended up coming here to kill a few hours and get in on some late Boxing Day shopping after the New Year, and was extremely surprised to find that half the store was on clearance. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that a good 40-50% of the goods on sale were either marked with tags or set up on "Clearance" endcaps, which was extremely amusing considering there was SO MUCH of it still on display. $2 packs of PUR gum, dirt-cheap Christmas and designer decorations, all sorts of weird food items for pennies on the dollar... makes the mind boggle with how much product is back there that they struggle to sell it all even with 80-90% discounts. One thing I'll definitely give the store credit for is that it's generally very quiet, the service is prompt, and you're generally bound to find something you want, whether it's a weird knick-knack or a book that interests you. In the end, we ended up buying a bunch of themed Christmas foods (including peppermint bark coffee liqueur and chocolate candy-cane shaped shortbread cookies), along with some odds and ends. I find I like visiting here every time in the area. Despite it's similar layout and product offerings as Winners (take out the men's/women's fashion and you have Homesense), the service and selection put it a cut above. Definitely a worthwhile anchor store in Clarkson Village Plaza.
