I typically love going into Urban Outfitters, I find so many little and unique home decor pieces, and other fun finds. Unfortunately, the New Haven store is big let down. I understand the target shoppers are college students, but this massive store of two floors is a big letdown. The downstairs has some trendy items, nothing special, tee shirts, hats and coats. The upstairs has the sale section, records and and some stationary items. There were things on the floor. Nothing about the store layout or the items on hand is inviting or interesting. Of course it is all very overpriced, on sale or not. It looks more like an overpriced tag sale than a real store. read more

I never received my package they said it was delivered even though i was waiting by the door for a treadmill delivery and i have a ring camera i know for a fact it was not delivered they robbed me they dont care either i called many times they said theres nothing i can do i cant even believe this is how they conduct business and ive been a loyal customer for 20 years read more

I have loved shopping here since I was a teen and will continue to shop there for friends and family on special occasions. In terms of the different stores I've been to this urban outfitters is well laid out and clean. It is a large space and you have to go to the second floor for the home items, sale and men's items. The items sold here are the usual wares found at urban outfitters it just seemed much more organized and clean than some of the other stores I've been to. I just really love buying gifts here, there's something for everyone. read more

I AM UTTERLY DISGUSTED. I'm a 20 year old black college student and I walked into the store looking for Mario Badescu's facial creams and when I picked them up a white male worker came up to me and said that I should leave my products at the register while I was looking around. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I EVER BEEN RACIALLY PROFILED. I believe that just because of my skin tone he thought I was going to steal the products. I still ended up buying them because I needed it but I will never step foot in this store again. The customer service was not at all what I expected, if I could give it -1 star I would. read more

Urban Outfitters in fun to check out every now and then. I became a fan when I moved to New Haven. Yes, it is hipster central with its funky clothes, accessories, and furniture. All are a bit pricey. The music they play fits the UO style. If you are patient enough, the clothes will go on sale. There's a big section upstairs of the sale items. I got a great tan coat for $30 and sometimes find cute dresses. I always get nervous that I'll trip and fall down the staircase! read more

Very cool spot to shop. The items are super unique, and as gifts, they will blow the minds of the people getting them. I bought my girlfriend a BIGGIE shirt from there, and she knew I was the one after that. The only issue for me is the price. The items are marked up super high... we're talking 200% sometimes. It's prime real estate because it taps right into the unrelenting pockets of Yale students parents. Super smart move if you ask me. Right from the paycheck of a Yalie mom, to the cash register of UO. And let me tell you, the kids working in the store don't see that money. The owner of this store is sitting on an island somewhere laughing. Like I said, awesome store, but if you're in the lower tax brackets of America, just stay away... don't even tempt yourself. read more

This is a very cool store in a nice shopping district of New Haven - Broadway. It is large, clean, and packed with cool trendy stuff. I can walk around this place and find endless things to entertain myself, whether they be retro toys or cool new gadgets. All kinds of stuff from jewelry to furniture. If you're looking from something to accent your living space or just waste some time, this place is perfect. read more

I used to love Urban Outfitter's funky style and from time-to-time I still do patron the place. However, I have learned over the years that there are other places that sell the same things for less. And I mean the exact same things. For example, Thom Brown had the same Sacony sneakers that Urban was selling for $50 on sale listed for $30. And you can get very similar furniture at Ikea for 1/4 of the price. AND they don't have petite or short-people clothes, so they instantly lose points with me. Great location and a great addition to the New Haven shopping scene. You always need an Urban Outfitters close by for gift buying, as they have the most random stuff! I'm not a huge fan of their clothes, but they have occasional items which spark my interest, and fun stuff in their home section. read more

I kinda wish they had a larger size selection instead of catering to strictly petite people, cuz their size "large" is literally a small. It's horrendous and I mean, it's aesthetically pleasing and their clothes are trendy, but truly not practical. Too small, poorly made, and too expensive. Rather go to a thrift store and probably find something JUST as trendy for a much better price, better quality, and larger size. read more

Pricy, but that's the nature of Urban Outfitters. Otherwise, well-stocked, friendly staff, and nice location. The store is always neat and organized, and the dressing rooms are always clean. They also have a fairly large clearance section, which has cute fashion for a more reasonable price. its a national (international?) chain of a little bit pricey funky junk stores geared toward college-aged hipster types. i like to go and look and the stuff and say "hey this is cool" and then put it down and leave without buying anything. not much i need here. some ok clothes. some ok houswares. the few times i have bought stuff here it was from the clearance section. read more

Updating this to note that while I've come here about 10 times since I've written the review, I've found absolutely nothing. The layout has changed for the worse and their sales rack have shrunk and now have almost nothing worthwhile on them. On top of that, their sneaker selection seems to have shrunk as well. I'm keeping this at 2 stars because I've found some awesome sneakers on sale here before and I'll probably keep making 3 minute visits just in case I can find something ok here in between the many oddly colored ugly pieces of clothing. read more

all i need to say is trendy! the clothing and shoes there are amazing, i'd love to fill my closet but unless you're holding onto mom or dad's cc then i can't get the hook up. the store is small compared to other urban outfitters in other cities but for new haven it suits it well. they carry a lot of hip items and clothing pieces which attracts some real dummies to frequent the store. def shop the sales, sometimes it's a mess to look through but the results can be worth it read more
