Urban Princess is like an oasis of positive energy. So many unique items like caps, purses, clothes, candles, etc. There is a cute little section with items for sale. Nice wine dispensers or wine bags perfect for a BYOB outing. They even go live Wednesday's on FB to showcase items. I went back the next day and purchased 2 soft flowing comfi jumpers. I absolutely adore this little boutique! I moved to Philly 6 years ago, and I never have been able to find an affordable boutique that has the boho chic clothes that I love. I met a woman the other day who told me about this place, so I decided to stop in. This is seriously my new favorite store in all of Philly. They have so many beautiful pieces of clothing made of quality material for an affordable price. They also have a serious collection of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, you name it. They have little tote bags for the beach, purses, and a funky collection of vegan leather jackets. Kimonos, scarves, sari dresses, tie dye and colors galore! They also have little trinkets that can be given as gifts, leather piggy banks made in India, wind chimes and meditation chimes made of up-cycled materials. Oh and did I mention the locally-sourced candles and the luxurious bath bombs? They have Facebook live sales on Tuesdays from 4-6 PM, Wednesdays 5-6 PM, and they're going to start doing an Instagram live sale. If you're still too nervous to leave the house due to COVID, you can watch the Facebook live sales where they go through the store and try on different pieces and show off their inventory. If you see something you like, all you have to do is send them a message and they will arrange to make the sale and ship it to you! Awesome little shop the my aunt and I visited not once but twice over the Thanksgiving holiday! They have lots of unique craft gifts including candles, clothing, jewelry, purses, etc. My aunt and I both ended up buying a ton of candles and I also got a key-chain made from an up-cycled fork and a cute hat. My mother was with us during one of the visits and she got a hat and shirt at well. Located just off South Street this shop is defiantly a good place to hunt for a special gift for someone. They had some cool earrings made from old vinyl records that I was checking out and serving dishes made from liquor bottles. The salesgirl even remembered me from the day before and let me apply the same discount I got to my second purchase! Check out Urban Princess the next time you are in Philly! read more

I finally stopped into this adorable boutique after passing by it nearly everyday. The first thing you notice when walking in are the wonderful aromas of a spa. There are all different flavors of homemade soaps and skin products. The woman working the register was so friendly and helpful which truly prompted me to write this review. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because the clothing for what it is was a bit pricey. However, I did pick up a dress and will surely be stopping in again sometime. read more

Stopped in while I had some time to spare before seeing a show at the Shubin Theater and was drawn immediately to the wide selection of handcrafted jewelry, accessories, clothing, and home decor from local artists, including tie-dyed apparel from the fabulous Eric "ZONK" Kephart. I had a wonderful chat with Ellen, the friendly and helpful saleswoman, on my first visit and returned soon after to purchase a wedding gift for a co-worker. Some cheese plates made from melted down vodka bottles caught my eye so I chose one made from a Grey Goose bottle and had Cindy, the saleswoman who assisted me this time around, package it up nicely for me since she knew it was a gift. I work down the street from this shop and I pop in while going to the post office from time to time. This shop has some of the cutest boho and modern styles of women's fashion and accessories. Some of my favorites are the jewelry dresses and yoga tights and basics which I had no clue they sold until today when I was able to venture further into the store.
