He was AWESOME and was able to get me in the day after I inquired about a session, which was more than I could have asked for. As a triathlete, it's important to find a massage therapist you can trust. Someone who understands what your body goes through on a daily basis, and how he can help you make the proper adjustments to be your best. David fits the bill perfectly, because he himself is a competitive triathlete. What makes David especially effective is his ability to blend massage techniques during a session. With most massage therapists, you have to specify if you want a Swedish massage, deep tissue, sports, Thai, etc. Tell David where it hurts and he'll fix you. Simple as that. David also knows how to work with your body and its quirks. For example, I have scoliosis and misaligned hips. David is always mindful of this and tailors his massage sessions to free space in my shoulders and lower back. As a result, I feel fresher and more flexible, aiding in quicker recovery. Finally, David's tableside manner, for lack of a better phrase, is something that really stands out. I have always used female massage therapists in the past but David made me feel comfortable enough to work with him exclusively, even letting go my longtime massage therapist of 5 years in favor of LA Body Mechanics. After the Disneyland Half Marathon, I had severe cramps and discomfort in my upper right thigh for almost two weeks before I bit the bullet and scheduled an appointment with David. He fixed me right up and got me ready for the LA Triathlon. Incredibly professional and very knowledgeable. As a fairly serious athlete, I typically get massages to aid recovery rather than to feel relaxed. There's a pretty vast difference in massage technique between the two, and David understands it very well. He's an athlete, which puts him ahead of the average massage therapist in a couple of ways. 1: He understands what I need to work out any mechanical issues I might have. 2: He is actually able to perform whatever is necessary to fix me. This doesn't sound like a lot, but it's remarkable how difficult it is to find this combination. There's one thing you need to know. Once you see David, you'll never want to see anybody else. Guaranteed. I had an upcoming Half Ironman and was slightly worried about my run because I had been dealing with a lot of hip flexor issues while on my training runs. Typically before an event, I'll head to the closest thai massage to get worked over by the nice ladies who like to walk on my back and fold me into a pretzel, however, I knew even the strongest thai masseuse wouldn't know how to fix my hip flexors. After being referred to David, I was somewhat worried such a highly recommended guy wouldn't be able to squeeze me in 3 days before my event, but what do you know...BOOM....he was able to fit me in the next day. For somebody who trains 6 days a week, I've had my fair share of massages, but David blows them all out of the water. He was able to work out spots that I hadn't been aware of because i was so focused on my hip flexors, and he didn't even yell at me as I was saying bad words when he was working out the one friend I have a love/hate relationship with...the IT band. He also assured me the circulation work he did would help me recover faster. Come race day, I had absolutely no hip flexor issues, and my recovery went so well I was on the bike the next day. And that NEVER happens. Seriously, if you're looking for somebody who is professional, knowledgable, is more than willing to sit in LA traffic to get from the west side to the Valley, and is just a rad dude overall...David is your guy. He's so much my guy, I already have my next appointment with him in a few weeks before my next event in St. George. read more

I've had countless massages in my life, starting at age 12. I grew really fast (I was 5'9" by the time I was in 8th grade) and daily headaches and muscles tension were the inevitable result. Years later I still rely on massage to keep headaches and tension at bay. I've had some great massages in my day but I can honestly say David was the most beneficial and effective massage therapist I've ever been to. He instinctually seems to know what your body needs. I actually felt like my body moved better after seeing him, and not just temporarily. I am an athlete who competes in endurance sports such as triathlon and marathons. Massage is an integral part of training for these events because your body definitely starts to show wear and tear after a while. That being said, I have tried massage from many different places to get rid of a knot here or some pain there. Finding a massage therapist who knows what he or she is doing is critical. David is by far the most effective therapist I have ever used. He communicates well and figures out what can be causing my issues and works through it with each session. I had an issue with tightness in my shoulders, back, and neck from swimming. I originally went to a massage place and they were so painful and pushed on each knot until it went away. However, a few weeks later, those knots were back. After David worked on it, he released the "space" between the muscles and I haven't had issues since! The Best Sports Massage! I have a knee injury & balance issues that kill my legs. Sometimes I wish I was Barbie to just pull off my leg when in pain. That is when the magic truly begins to relief. I contacted David because I was having an unusual pain that persisted in my right foot. The doctor had x-rayed it and no breaks, so he thought it was probably muscular. David came to my condo and discovered a muscle in my calf that must have been in knots. He worked it over well. While it was painful, by the end of the session the muscle had greatly relaxed and my foot started to finally feel better. I have since had David work in me several more times and I feel what he does is more than a massage as he really works the muscles. I had a massage with David the day before New Years and found him to be excellent. I'm a bit of a picky massage getter because I like deep tissue and/or firm pressure and I found that he was just right. I also loved that he came to my apartment because I literally woke up 20 minutes before and didn't have to worry about going anywhere, parking, etc. He was really nice and gave me some tips for stretches I should do. My goal this year was to race the Boston Marathon and re-qualify for next year and also to finish my first Ironman Triathlon in Brazil for the first time in 5 years.
