As I was packing for our East Coast adventure, I was thinking fall weather clothing: boots, beanies, light jackets.....oh but on our last two days, mother nature said NOPE, I am bringing the heat! It was hot and we were slightly dying, as we passed Sweet Elizabeth Jane, not only was their storefront display soooo cute, but we could feel the AC blasting when we passed by. Seriously, this was the reason why we went in. Not knowing what to expect, I was surprised. The store was two floors, but not only did it have the cute souvenirs and Christmas decor that was visible as we passed by, but it had cute clothes and accessories. What a gem of a store....it was boutique plus, plus!!! This store has my heart. It was hard to narrow down my shopping since I had to be mindful that I had a carry on and personal item to travel back home. I couldn't resist and decided to purchase items and just ship them to myself back home. I bought a shawl/jacket in the most wonderful Olive Green color that is perfect for walking and driving in. I also got the softest scarf. Customer service was top notch. I saw this scarf on display on a mannequin and I asked if it came in different colors and they went to go look since I am not a big fan of the browns in my attire choices. I got a gray/black combo scarf. Since we had cooled down significantly as we were shopping, we got hungry and asked if we could place the items on hold since we didn't want to carry our purchases until the end of our exploration and headed back to the car. I gave them my name, they placed the items on hold and we went to eat. When we came back, the store associate remembered my name and that our items were on hold. She also told me that they have a website with many items for sale from their actual sales floor that could be shipped and proceeded to tell me how the store got started. She wrapped the items with care and off we were. Prices are completely reasonable for a store of this caliber. This store could easily fit into the vibe of Stanford Shopping Center, Santana Row, downtown Carmel, etc.....but I KNOW that this place will blow any rivals strictly due to their fair pricing, storefront size and their unique items. This is one of the places we always make sure to hit during Ellicott City Main Street's Midnight Madness. I'm not a sweater guy, but my wife and sister both love their stuff so it's easy to pick something out that they'll like for a decent price (how many brand names can you say that about?) This place is located right on the winding Main Street, so parking can be a chore at busy times. Main Street is a historic area, and walking up and down exploring the charming boutiques (and bars) always makes for a nice time.

I've been twice now and both times I found really cute things, but the price is a kinda hit or miss. a lot of things are a lot more overpriced than I thought they'd be. It is a Consignment shop and the pieces are in very high-quality but I still don't want to spend $60 in a consignment shop on one piece of clothing. I'm used to thrift store prices and this threw me off a bit. I did however find a really beautiful dress that I bought that I plan on wearing for my anniversary dinner and I found so many cute handbags and designer purses. I love that they have not only women's attire, but also men's, and they have a large handbag selection as well.

I pointed out the inner seams were sewn in the opposite direction on the uneven hems that were done by the first tailor. It was quite embarrassing to point out these flaws that I paid for. Francesca and her husband assured me these issues can be fixed and made suggestions to improve the look such as an invisible hem. They measured me and every inch of those pair of pants, double checking their work. When I went to pick up the pants, I didn't try them on but Francesca told me if I was unhappy with anything to let her know, talk about customer service. I'm grateful for their service and will definitely bring in more clothes to get tailored. Ive never had any issues coming to this location. I didnt find what I went for but I definitely found some nice clothing articles and flat shoes. Im not a fan of looking/searching through miscellaneous racks of clothes. It just annoys me. I managed to do such today for a few minutes not long and was out.
