I didn't realize til a year later they only charged for one pup due to the pandemic. We came back for their annual and today for a last minute nail trim. I didn't even know they were open. They just squeezed us in with an open appointment. I was actually on my way somewhere else to get their nails trimmed because they were just a little closer to home and said they would be open on a Saturday. Their sign was closed, and when they finally text back, they said they weren't opening today despite their social media post. I have not been to that place since because of their social media as well as my dogs not liking them - despite it being closer to home. So I called Woodlake. I already had my pups with me out running other errands. They have been amazing. One of my other dogs had passed, and we called to tell them. A week later, they mailed us a sympathy card. Great place. Everyone has been very kind and caring. We see whoever is available, and I have not had any issues with any of the vets there. I'd rather travel a little out of the way for kinder people.

I called the vet with concerns about the sudden increase in seizures after giving them to my dog and they just put it off and told me that we had to wait a week or 2 until the medicine "kicked in", so I trusted them and waited and continued to give him the medication. He passed away yesterday after a week of use. I truly believe that the medicine this vet gave me was the reason of my dog's death.

The facility is spotless, the communication is wife open and crystal clear, and the pricing for their services and their procedures seem fair to me having very little exposure to paying elsewhere. But what I believe really sets them apart is the staff. There are more that I have yet to meet, I'm sure. But the amazing women that I've had the distinct honor of interacting with many times are Peggy, Marissa, Keely, and Dr. Kearce. I am anxiety ridden to my very core and this amazing team has gone above and beyond to calm me down, listen to my concerns and address each and every one in detail, and go out of their way to take care of my dog and to take care of me and my mental health as well. They've seen me at my lowest of lows feeling broken down and have handled me with the same grace and care that they extend to my dog. My husband and I recently moved to this side of town, and although we love Dr. Floyd and his staff at Silverleaf Animal Hospital in Moore, being up here by Rockwell and Northwest Expressway means new vet. Dr. Schmitt was conscientious, caring, and patient with my cats. I learned during our initial visit that she is Fear Free Pets certified (https://fearfreepets.com/), which is a bonus I didn't know until I got there. She took great care and patience with two of my cats - including shaving one who gets matted pretty easily and won't let me touch her near her mats! They took the time to answer my questions, explain what they were doing and why, and took care of me as Bill Payer(TM) to the patient. I will be recommending Dr. Schmitt to anyone who asks me for a vet on this side of town, as well as to the other members of the rescues from whence I got my feline companions.

I decided to head down to Wedgwood since wait time was shorter. We were brought back to a room with in 15 -20 minutes. Tech took vitals, veterinarian came in 5 minutes later, very knowledgeable with frenchies, IVDD, very thorough exam, detailed explanation of diagnosis, treatment etc. Exam, pain injection and medication to go home with ran me $200. I checked in at 2:50pm, home by 3:55pm. I was expecting it to be longer... Smaller clinics seem to be more caring, informative and personable vs the large animal hospitals that are expensive seem to be commercially ran. Very happy I found a small local clinic vs large chain emergency vet.

She understands allopathic, homeopathic, and naturopathic medicine. She uses integrative medicine by combining multiple techniques: osteopathic / chiropractic adjustment, acupuncture, and energy medicine (I'm unsure of the name of this). She uses a kinesiology technique, too (I'm also unsure of what this is called, but I've encountered it before. It's useful for accurate diagnosis). I have been taking my cat to Dr. McNeill for several months d/t weight loss, diarrhea, and vomiting. I had already taken my cat to 2 veterinarians, but they were allopathic. On our first visit, she performed an adjustment on my cat's lower back and pelvis. Immediately afterward, my cat stopped being scared and cowering in the carrier. My cat walked around the exam room like it was no longer an intimidating place. I've never witnessed such a transformation in any of my animals, and I've taken my fur babies to many veterinarians over the years. Plus, my cat didn't cry (like usual) on the way home. Also, my cat snuggled with her brother (actual brother, littermate) for the first time in years. Just as crazy, 1 day after the vet visit, my cat's diarrhea temporarily resolved for several weeks. Although the diarrhea has returned, I think my cat is finally seeing someone who can help. I have hope that my cat will get better. She has even gained back a little bit of weight. For some context, I am an MD. Whenever I feel like allopathic medicine is failing one of my pets, I will definitely bring them to Dr. McNeill. She's worth it. She listens to my concerns.... and my cat's concerns. Whereas allopathic vets would say that there's nothing more they could do for my pet, Dr. McNeill does not seem fatigued or defeated. She develops a plan of action. One thing to note: They have a policy of collecting partial payment before the 1st visit. I thought this was unusual. Luckily, Dr. McNeill came highly recommended to me, so I felt comfortable paying it. I recommend Dr. McNeill without hesitation.

He'll take your animal as-is, be it a pampered queen or a rag-taggley old street cat.
