So the anxiety was definitely there. But after talks with Dr Hickson and staff - I was confident I chose the right guy for the procedure. Walked in anxious confident... I was referred here by touch stone imaging after having a testicular ultrasound. The cost and billing for an initial visit seems predatory, make sure your insurance covers everything for a specialist after your copay or it will be expensive to come here. Entire bill after insurance adjustments was $418 for a 10 min initial visit($225) $65 copay, a urine sample with labs($600) $288, and a 5 min check up a month later($125) $65 copay. Never heard anything about the results of the labs until I called and asked about them after being asked to pay for the expensive in house lab work, was billed for about 8 or 9 different test at $195-$65 each on the tiniest little Dixie cup sample of urine I've ever had to give. Im still dealing with the discomfort I went in for originally as well. Don't want to bash them too hard but for what I paid id prefer to have my issue resolved but only was prescribed a steroid and am now dealing with the same worsening issue months later. I'd like to say the care was good but the visits are super quick and seem more like guessing than really figuring out the underlying issue and treating it. I came in with imaging from touchstone and a diagnosis (hydrocele) which the doc disagreed with. Won't name my doctor because I did like him but I don't think he got the diagnosis correct. I've now moved states and have to start this entire process over again. Would not recommend this Urology Office based on overall experience. read more

Didn't even complete making a future appointment. It's okay that they didn't have anything available, but the scheduler was incredibly abrupt and rude from the beginning of the call. Usually office staff is a good indicator of the quality of care offered. We all deserve better. I'll be sure to let our referring physician know as well. read more

My husband went in to see dr hickonson February 5th. It is now June 7th. FOUR months. He went in to get a sperm analysis done. Which they are charging us 250 dollars for the initial appointment. He was told we would have results in a week and to call after about 7 days. So he did. They told him we don't have results yet. Two weeks goes by and still no results. The next time he called in about a month later they said we have results but the dr hasn't gone over them yet. Got that answer another couple times. Today we finally get a call from an automated message after calling this morning that there was an appointment set for tomorrow morning that he never asked for. We just wanted the results over the phone. Now the nurse is saying well dr said he didn't release the results to be told over the phone and now are waiting to see if we even can. So we are at the point we are having our medical results held from us so they can make another 250 dollars off us. Absolutely the WORST doctors office I've ever dealt with. And a total scam to pull the most money out of you. Don't go here is the best advice I can give. read more

Had kidney stone removal surgery. Dr Wootten told me the stent would be removed the following week. Lie #1. I had the procedure done in Dec. Deductible was met. When they called to schedule the stent removal, they wanted to schedule it 3 weeks out. In Jan. I was not happy that doctor told me it would be the following week. They day before the removal, billing called and stated it would be $268.00. I said no, this should be part of the procedure i had in Dec. She wasnt having that. I said cancel my appt. Nurse Sara called the next morning and asked why i canceled, i explained the money situation, she stated "no, thats part of your procedure and Dr Wootten would not allow that". Lie #2. Shocker, i got a bill for $395.00 for the stent removal. Called and left Sara a msg, billing called me back, stated Sara got my message but has nothing to do with billing. This fight is not over. I recently had outpatient surgery performed by Dr. Esparza to have a stent put in my ureter. All I have to say is the whole experience has been one of the worst ever. Not only did I feel like she was rushed during the process but I was horrified to find that my stent came out only a few days after it was inserted. Had I been properly notified about what to expect after surgery (like there will be strings hanging out of your urethra) the whole situation could have been avoided!! I took several days off work, I am still in pain...out thousands of dollars and nobody cares. read more
