This store reminds me of a mini version of their flagship store in Meridian. The selection here is amazing and find myself wandering around just to check things out. They have an awesome cheese and meat selection for any charcuterie board you could ever think of. They have the best selection of craft cheeses I have seen in this area. Plus their "fresh" section is filled full of ready to go prepped meals for any easy meal day. Plus it has its own checkout as well. Did I also mention they have a Starbucks as well. I have always encountered very friendly employees that are willing to go out of their way to help and assist customer. I especially love their floral department. The ladies that work in this area are so nice and always accommodating. They have made some great flower arrangements for me. The meat counter here is also outstanding with great selections. They also have an extended variety of of snake river farms (SRF) meats as well. If you've never tried these they are amazing. Including dry aged beef for those that have tried is so fantastic. The seafood selections is also fantastic and great for a land locked state. I could go on and on about the other great selections including amazing beer and wine selection. Not only from major companies but tons of local Idaho places as well. Plus the very modern ambiance, decor and feel of this store is great. I never buy everything in the same place anyway. This is just another great option. Don't know what else to tell you. If you spend any time in the kitchen you may want to just take a walk through. I just became aware of standard restaurant supply's "email club" that I now plan to take advantage of. They claim they will let you know about sales and other specials they periodically sponsor. I stopped by today with one of my daughters who needed supplies to try a Little do it yourself project in the kitchen. I love that. it makes me so proud. While there I couldn't help but add to my sauce pan quiver with a little 1.5 quart number. I am in the kitchen so often I go through these things like candy. They've got almost everything you could need, but if you are looking for a specific brand, you might not be able to find it here. So, criss-cross apple sauce everyone STORYTIME I When you're a manufacturer/vendor and you agree to be on Amazon whereas you sell to Amazon and then Amazon sells to its customers, most vendors choose to pay Amazon 2% for handling the returns. This means that the returns do not go back to the manufacturer or the vendor. Please note that in Seller Central, there is also a similar program but some sellers can opt to have returns returned to them. Steelz from what I saw on their shelves seems to be a home for returning goods from various stores and platforms. It also looks like Steelz is the local recipient of left-over stock that Costco and others don't want on their shelves anymore. STORYTIME II Ever since the asterisk in the upper right-hand corner of the price matrix sign at Costco? If you see the asterisk, it means that the item has a number of days before it leaves Costco. That item may or may not sell out. If it doesn't sell out, meaning sealed, factory new items are left over, Steelz will most likely buy them at a discount ( liquidated price agreed upon with Costco and others ) and then Steelz is now the owner of the inventory of sealed and new items as well as any returns that Steelz wants to buy. While I walked through Steelz, I noticed many items from Costco. I couldn't determine whether or not the pricing at Steelz was indeed a deal. In my opinion, a couple of dollars saving wasn't worth it for me but I do see value for customers who are not Costco members. If didn't have a Costco membership but wanted to shop at Costco, then Steelz is potentially a great deal. Steelz also has many Kirkland products in smaller individual sizes like toilet paper and paper towels. We didn't buy anything at Steelz that day but I would be interested in going back and doing some more looking and pricing. There's been some discussion about the return policy or returning products overall. I can't speak on this topic since I have not purchased anything. If I do purchase anything and if I have to return anything, I'll update this review.
