Well I had the best experience with AppleOne also. I was having a hard time finding employment,…read morewhether it was submitting my resume to jobs seen on craigslist or interviewing with other agencies who sent me out to potential positions I had NO LUCK. I started to realize that maybe I did need to take others advice and update my resume since my last permanent employer listed had been in 2011. I didn't really want to do it because lately I had been doing a lot of temporary assignments and the last being one seasonal, I thought that would look tacky on my resume but nevertheless after almost giving up again for awhile I decided to do so. I revised and updated it on every online site I was registered with including temp agencies. I start receiving calls IMMEDIATELY to the point to where I was turning some invitations down. I received a call from Ian letting me know he saw my resume and thought I might be a good fit for a position he's working on with a client. I confirmed I was still looking for employment and listened to what he had to say. As he was discussing my resume over the phone with me and my last employer, I noticed he had my old version so I couldn't wait to send him my updated resume and did so after we got off the line through my phone(I was out n about). He called me right back very excited and we continued to talk about the position, he said he would submit my resume to the company and that he would like to meet me as soon as possible which was the next day. We confirmed and that was that. 5 minutes later I received ANOTHER call from Ian saying the company really liked my resume and wanted to meet with me the day after. I was enthusiastic but still didn't want to get my hopes up so I confirmed that interview as well and decided to get a bite to eat to celebrate(garlic crab). The next day I arrived at AppleOne ready to register. The receptionist was very nice and helpful, she put me on the computer to look at the safety video and do the questionnaire. Usually when you go to temp agencies they have you do a gang of PROVEIT test which I can't stand because most of the time the test have nothing to do with the positions your applying for and they can be discouraging and sometimes stressful. So I was very happy when I didn't have to do any. I passed with flying colors ofcourse. Then it was time for the paperwork, EVERYTHING was pre filled all I had to do was sign and date which was awesome. Next up came the meet and greet/interview with Ian, we talked more about the position and what to expect and do. Questions they may ask, He was very helpful and it was very quick. After he gave me his card I was on my way, prepared for my interview the next day. So the next day arrives and I head to my interview ready to make a great impression. I arrived on time with high energy, met with the hiring staff, discussed my skills and how I might benefit the company. I enjoyed the meeting and felt comfortable about the position. When I left I contacted Ian just like he asked to let him know how it went. He told me he would contact me when he heard back from them so I pressed on with my day and went to get a bite to eat(Taco Bell following exit) all that talking had me hungry. Before I could even get to my next destination I saw I had a missed call from AppleOne's phone number followed by a voicemail so I checked it and it was Ian telling me to call him back asap. I was a little nervous but excited at the same time. When I called back Ian informed me that I GOT THE JOB! They really liked me and want me to start Monday WOW! It happened SO FAST Ian immediately got busy checking my references and emailed me a little later on that day letting me know they gave me great references. He also sent me an email link to my online time card. Just like that I am set, ready to go. All this in a matter of 3 days. I am now once again a working woman. Thanks Ian and Appleone. FYI: AppleOne is now located at 2121 N. California Blvd #220

We had a great conversation and I was presented with an opportunity with the County. It all happened so fast, I went on an interview within days and started the position after three weeks. The customer service received from AO was THE BEST, from Norea to Jessica to Barbara it was like a breath of fresh air speaking with each of them individually. They were all extremely professional and kind to me that I'm forever thankful and couldn't be happier and my temp job. If all goes well, which it should I'll be a County employee in no time if they are hiring full time positions.

This staffing agency is terrible but better than Adecco. Why? They are the biggest clowns ever compared to these guys. When you try to follow up, they told you they will keep you posted and you know what? I have been completely lied to. I was told I will know by the end of June and here we are now. No response from these clowns as well. I went to clown college for undergrad and this is how I am repaid. Do you want me to run your staffing agency? I got the qualifications because I went to clown college too and can do a better job than everyone who works here. If you are mentally challenged apply with them at your own risk because in the end you get treated like trash. If my ex girlfriend was a staffing agency this will probably fit the bill. Unacceptable. Is this any way to treat a neurodiverse person on their career break? I think not. Being mean to a mentally challenged person is a crime and seems to me like this staffing agency is committing it. Thanks for ghosting me and making my life a bigger cesspit of failure. I will still apply with you guys but don't count on me being lenient with you because that opportunity is lost now.

I give my highest recommendation to Ms. Knight. I was presented with a selection of qualified candidates in a timely fashion. All candidates presented met my company's stringent hiring criteria. I value my time and Ms. Knight did not waste any of mine. Fees were affordable. Saved my business time and money. Did "D.I.Y." hiring until we did a comparative cost analysis. Weeding through many unqualified applicants all for naught cost us too much. The right tool for the job my Grandfather always said. I agree with him. Thank you, Ms. Knight. Job well done indeed. I had signed up with 5 different Temp Agencies...to include AppleOne. The other temp agencies gave big promises however, I would only hear from them once or twice and then forgotten. In my case, Apple One handles all the contract details and payroll for a City of Hayward temporary…read moreassignment, (the HR department had contacted me directly to ask if I wanted a per diem job), and they do it efficiently. It's my first experience in many years with a staffing agency and it is good for me to realize what is involved in signing on with an agency now. Years ago, I got a position through an agency - temp to perm - and stayed with that firm for many years. Then I went to grad school and have been applying for professional jobs at various libraries. Expect a big investment of time on the applicant's part--almost two hours to deal with all the paperwork (online) and that didn't include skills assessments (because I had covered that in a previous interview with Hayward). So I would expect an even longer investment of time if you are simply looking for office temp work. But when you're unemployed, I guess it is worth it. If you don't have a computer and need to use the public library computers, for example, you will need many extensions of time! But I think AppleOne will let you use their workstation. There are a lot of work-related protocols, rules, and policies that they have to cover, and my reps did it very well. For all the time that we spend on the application process, I am sure an equal amount of time is spent at their end covering all the legal details, and making sure the future employee knows all the rules. I appreciate their very efficient Web timecard system and the weekly paycheck with direct deposit. I work per diem also with City of Oakland and they have NOT automated their timecard system for temp workers. On the other hand, they do direct hire and the temporary part-time worker is represented by the same union as regular workers, and we get better pay. I understand that a smaller city might have to go this route, though. I am interested in using my librarian skills at some outside-of-the-box jobs that are occasionally advertised, but I would have to educate the Apple One rep about which companies and job titles these would be. So I'm not sure I could get job search help here for professional jobs. I got the impression that the temp jobs are mostly administrative assistant/clerical/receptionist type positions. Note: for first time visitors to the Pleasanton office, a map or diagram of where the office is located within an office/shopping complex, would be very helpful. Unless that is part of the assessment test!

Since then, I've reluctantly used them because a small recruiter business utilizes Apple One for their payroll. Apple One, like all recruiters, take far more out of my pay than they deserve. Between 40-60% of the pay received from the on-site employer is taken by the recruiter. Complaints about dealing with Apple One in the past few years include... too many cooks in the kitchen. Things get passed around to different people. They no longer answer their phones during business hours. Apple One does not give paper payroll statements. Payroll statements downloaded from their site are unclear. Payroll statements do not clearly convey the breakdown of what is lost in the employee's payroll. For instance, their math and line items make it look like non-taxable "earnings" are taxed. I also don't appreciate that they did not send a paper tax statement in the mail like I had marked in my online time card/tax documents profile. When I was preparing my tax returns, I had to tell them to mail it to me. Then they required a form for me to get my paper tax statement. I have no intentions of utilizing their services in the future.
