This employment agency is one of the most unprofessional and unfriendly employment agencies I have ever been too. I went into their office and was greeted by this very unfriendly secretary who it seemed to me as a customer that she hated her job and that she did not want to be there. That is a very bad first impression to give a potential client of your agency. Then once I told her I had an appointment she told me to go sit in the little corner with a table and fill out the forms. Telling an older gentleman to go sit in the corner to fill out forms? What am I 5 years old being punished for something, word of advice don't ever go tell anyone to go sit in the corner EVER unless they are a young child! Then I had to go watch this video on the computer that was 15 minutes long explaining the policies and procedures of Apple One. They were explaining what they expected of us as an employee of theirs, which is understandable but the part that makes me break out laughing now is the part of saying that they expect us to communicate with them weekly about checking in, because guess what they don't even follow what they are telling us as employees to do. What a joke! After getting done I ended up sitting for another twenty minutes before even getting seen by job placement "specialist." Once I saw the specialist I explained my traits and experiences to her and her response was "There is nothing really out there for you!" I finished up my interview and went on my way. Every week since that point I was checking in with the agency to update information and ask if they came across and job openings that fit my experiences I provided them weeks ago. Then a couple weeks later and asked to speak to my placement agent and they said she was no longer with the company and she had moved to Seattle. I mean where is the communication with your employees. Give me a break. My experience was so awful from the first minute I would never recommend their services to anyone. They are unprofessional and do not follow the same expectations that they ask their employees to follow. read more

Apple One has been the most helpful, attentive, and resourceful hiring agency I've worked with in my 2 year job search. As a recent college graduate and first generation low income student, I struggled immensely with finding a job in my career field due to not having any experience. I wasn't able to take any internships but has to prioritize working service jobs to pay my own way. I didn't realize how behind I was until repeat rejections told me I had to go back to school and obtain certficiation to become somewhat a competitive candidate in the legal field since no one would even take me in as a unpaid intern to at the very least help me aquire skills or exposure. I felt defeated and hopeless until I blindly applied for a position offered through Apple One. I received a phone call and within a month I was hired almost immediately. I've met with ther recruiters, but no one had ever taken me as seriously as Apple One. I felt like I was important to them. I worked with Diane Samia, and she gave me all the encouragement I needed. She prepared me for my interivew, gave me helpful information and tips, and pushed for my applicaton, really advocating for my potential. If all of that doesn't speak for itself, I was offered a job after the first round of interviews in a selection process that was supposed to take 2 rounds. I went into this office and filled out there computerized application which was the easy part. I then took an assessment and watched about a ten minute video on their company. After almost an hour of filling out forms and computer applications and assessments I finally got to talk to a real person. First problem was the agent was not very helpful. She basically told me there was nothing out there for me and if anything came up, she would notify me. I was never notified by this agency! Second, they stated in their video they expect their employees to check in with them on a weekly basis which is what I had done, and in return they would communicate back with us (the employee). This NEVER happened! Then the agent moved and did not bother to notify me of this. I had to find this out when I called up and the agency told me. Then they claimed they could not find my file! I mean how disorganized is this office really. It's been almost a year now and still no communication from this office about anything. Don't tell your employees that you are on their side and will do whatever they can to help them find work and then treat them like they treated me. THIS IS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEIR COMPANY TO ANYONE! Do yourself a favor and avoid at all cost any employment opportunity offered by this customer because they wont help you, They will just hang you out to dry like they did me. read more

That same day, within just a short few hours, Christie Blair, contacted me to come in to meet with her about what qualifications I had and what exactly I was looking for. Even with me being new to the field and looking for an internship to finish school, she felt that would be no problem and she knew she could get me out there working with companies and having hands on learning. Not even a week after my interview Christie has gotten me my first temporary position at a local company that is willing to give me the chance to learn! I found AppleOne while searching for a position in the Napa area. I was surprised to see a listing on their site for the job type I was seeking. I read through the job description and at the end was the recruiter's name and contact information. Expecting a voice mail greeting I was happy to hear Jan Knight's voice answering her phone. She was more than engaging considering I was a complete cold call and we chatted nearly 20 minute about my background and her client. Jan felt there was a pretty good fit and after her review of my resume she sent it along to the client. It took some time a number of emails and phone calls from Jan to get the client to respond. I was giving up but Jan kept me involved and was always there for my email and phone calls. She never left me hanging out there with no information even if the information had not changed. Perhaps best of all (for my personality) she has proved to be very personable, beyond the initial interview and our professional relationship has actually deepened through her friendly manner in our regular, work-related emails. She has been communicative and very appreciative in situations that have required flexibility and patience on my part.
